I went here during Mardi Gras. The service was excellent and the burgers amazing! I loved the crawfish étouffé… It is a full service bar with very knowledgable bartenders. Check it out for sure.

I bought a groupon and gave it a try. The thing that stood out the most was the service. Excellent. The menu is interesting and has lots of options. The quality was good not outstanding but good. Ill come back. Good spot for lunch.

— The spinach dip appetizer was not appetizing. Too oily, too clumpy, and the flavor just wasn’t good. — The kabobs were all pretty good. The hummus was not. The tzaziki was ok. — Service at the bar was quick and friendly.

Two words: No Bueno. Poor service, small portions and a staff with no concept of time led to my first and last experience at Isis. Restaurant owners in the CBD learn from Isis’ mistake, if someone orders a sandwich in the business district and it takes over an hour your going to lose your client base. Also, have your order ready they bullied my friend into a panicked order of chicken cordon bleu that he said he wouldn’t feed his dog and his dog is dead.

A great location and a hopeful menu, yet these promising attributes were overwhelmed by lackadaisical service and unimpressive food. I stopped in around 12:30 or so and found the place nicely populated with diners but not what I’d call bustling. I placed an order from what appeared to be their standard lunch menu, but it took 25 minutes to arrive. When I needed to pay my bill, I had to get up and walk to the bar to get the attention of the server. Let me be clear, the servers were very pleasant and chatty, no trouble there. Just a bit inattentive combined with slow food preparation. My lunch selection of chicken kabobs was tasty enough, served on skewers with vegetables. The hummus, however was bland and had a consistency of baby food Isis has plenty good competition nearby for the lunch crowd. I recommend shoring up food quality and service to compete with the others.

I just started working near the French Quarter in New Orleans and was looking specifically for a Mediterranean restaurant for lunch. I have walked past this restaurant a few times so I figured I would give them a try. Two waitresses were there. One smiled and the other looked like she wanted to run in front of a truck. I luckily got the smiling one. I ordered the gyro lunch plate and found that the portion was very good for lunch. It came with two pita slices for the hummus and small portion of tabbouleh. Contrary to what other reviews are stating the taste was great. Something about the place just doesn’t make much sense though. Its quite dark and uninviting and the wait staff could use a shot of happy when greeting their customers. This will probably be a every now and then stop for me. Overall its average.

For a restaurant in the heart of the CBD in New Orleans(of all places) this joint Sucks(with a capital S)… Food had no taste, portions were tiny, service was mediocre, and the only huge thing was the price.Com’on now… Take your money and appetite somewhere else because this place ain’t worth it. Its places like this that I wish Unilocal would give you the option of not leaving a single star

First time there today, was very pleased. Got coffee, a cup of broccoli & cheese soup, a panned chicken sandwich with a small side of baked macaroni and cheese. Everything yummy, reasonably priced, a great choice if you’re staying downtown. Hope to wake up early enough to try their breakfast burritos next time!

My biggest complaint about this place is that they are rarely open. No weekends. No evenings. Also, on several occasions they were closed during times they were scheduled to be opened. Incredibly annoying! To make it worse, they are rude when the answer the phone and say they are closed or when they say the kitchen is closed upon walking in the door. I worked for many years in the restaurant industry and I’ve never seen such poor, inconsistent service. It’s a shame because they do have good food. I disagree with a previous post, «worst hummus ever» and actually think it’s the best I’ve ever had. The bar also has a very poor selection.

Quick breakfast stop and everything was good. Tried the sausage breakfast burritos and cheesy grits. Bartenders service was good as well.

I went there and had the Gyro and it was excellent, probably the best in town. Personal service, friendly and comfortable atmosphere, I will dine here again for sure.

I was super excited to try this place — I was so excited that I ordered an international anachronism: an order of hummus followed by fish tacos. Weird, huh? Now, look, everybody knows that it is easy to please me as far as food(just bring it to me and stand back), but DAMN this was bland. I covered my fish tacos with hot sauce and salsa, but I still had to salt it, and none of that really helped at all. The lack of flavor was pretty out of control. I can forgive ugly food, small portions, semi-bad service, noise, crowds, etc. etc. but never ever bring me anything so bland that I have no other choice to make the food palatable except to subject myself to hypertension with no discernible effect(plus, I mean, how do you screw up hummus?!). At least the prices were good and they had a nice variety of the menu. I also like to think that the chefs are going through something of a learning curve being that the place is new. I may try it again in a few months since it is close by to work, but I was pretty disappointed.

I’m glad I wasn’t terrified of the other reviews. I get the impression perhaps they are working out a few kinks, but it’s a new business. I had the chicken schwarma, add a side of fries. The chicken was seasoned well, but it consisted of just chicken and lettuce. I found happiness, however, by adding the hummus and salad sides directly to the sandwich. I didn’t find the hummus gritty, although it had a slightly different texture than I’m used to. But it was spicy! I like spicy. The fries really did appear to be hand-cut, with the skin on and a nice texture. Others in the group had: burgers, one chicken salad, and one chicken sandwich. Everyone left happy. I think we each came out about $ 10/head, which is a good price in the CBD for the amount of food we had.

Food was Delish! I had the Panéed chicken sandwich, on a bun that was so fresh and toasted, AND the fries were outstanding(I love good fries). My companion had the kibbeh plate and loved it, he said it was just like home(middle east is home for him). I will definitely be back!
