Fantastic bartenders, the ghost tours meet out of this bar so they get a rush of people around 8 but they quickly disperse. The peach mint mule is delicious as are both the Ruben and southwest egg rolls

Actually a big fan of this bar, a nice escape from Bourbon. I would call this a good place to pregame the rest of your night or if you just wanted to take it easy. Service is great, phenomenal– the bartender was super sweet and had a great sense of humor. She was really attentive and made friendly banter with everyone at the bar, not just her regulars. They have a deal with the Haunted History tours place where if you have the sticker from the tour and go in– you’ll get two for one hurricanes. Apparently, rumor has it, you can probably walk in here multiple nights in a row and claim you did the tour and still get the same deal… but you did not hear that from me. The hurricanes are not the best in New Orleans, but they’re pretty good and you cannot beat two for one. Overall, I would stop by again on my next visit to New Orleans!

Superb service, great drinks, good beer selection and fair prices. All of this in a clean, fun atmosphere. Close enough to Bourbon to be accessible but far enough away to escape the craziness(if you choose). Loved this bar!

They have a good thing going with Haunted History tours doing a cross promotion. The bartender was quick and knew how to keep people moving. They have a food menu but it is extremely limited. Cleanliness was a little lacking.

Worst experience I have ever had at a bar. The bartenders were rude and walked away in the middle of ordering. On the way out they called me a ‘bitch’ for having a difficult order… I ordered a Sprite with vodka. The employees and the drink left a bad taste in my mouth. Shouldn’t be considered an establishment.

Stopped in for Broncos/Patriots game and sat at the bar. Shanna was a super bartender and made us feel at home. Great service and sports bar environment. I’d go back for sure. Sorry we didn’t get to come back and visit Shanna. She is worth the trip!

This is a good bar. Good bones, good location, good service. It used to cater to a more locals crowd, but they have had some change over in their staff and because of the tour groups that gather outside — it seems to be way more touristy these days. It might be because of the 2 for 1 pirate drink(some fruity concoction of rum and pink stuff.) I enjoy watching football and grabbing a drink here. The food, while totally bar-fried-frozen, isn’t bad and pretty affordable. They have buckets for beer and specials during Saints games. Their bathrooms are some of the cleanest, right off Bourbon. They typically keep all their front doors open, so it’s easy to pop in and out and still feel a part of the chaos outside. They also have a nice courtyard in the back.

Bartender was great but they are the biggest rip off on bourbon st. with their«buy one, get one free hurricane.» They give you two tiny 6oz plastic cup and charge you $ 9.50! Ridiculous.

This tiny bar next to the voodoo shop has just about any type of booze you could want, and a garden in the back. If you take a tour next door there is a two for one hurricane offer redeemable here, and it was quite tasty.

An absolutely low key bar on St Peter. A super busy street. So it’s easy to miss this place on a real busy day. But really a must go for some sports break and get your drink on. I stumbled upon this one by chance — when another place that claimed to be a Sports bar ended up being a Saints bar instead and refused to show any non Saints football action — period. Pfft. This one is definitely a Sports bar. A real one for sure. The space on the 1st(ground) floor itself is not that big. But has enough stools and a sweet, winding U shaped bar towards the entrance. Very well lit during night time. Quite flashy for an Irish sports bar actually. But then again — it’s NOLA, and in the middle of the Quarter — why not?! The bartender was the nicest girl I have come across in a while. She was fast, had an eye on everyone’s glasses /bottles, no attitude about being oh so pretty given how pretty she really was, et al… And knew when to come within flashes with your next drink. So fast! I liked it. Aaaaaa lottt! They have a pub food menu as well which looked pretty good but I was happy with my bottled beer choices. Football = Beer! The quarter has quite a few sports bars and the ones on Bourbon can get jam packed especially on football Sunday. This unassuming bar is kind of a hidden gem and I would come here in a heartbeat for a 4pm game or even a SNF /TNF /MNF.(and NFL should not even attempt at any more combos of any other *NF! These are enough.) During my time here watching the NFL season opener, I saw many a local bartenders stopping by to catch up with the friendly bartender and get a drink or 2. Clearly the girl is a star in the community, it seems — not too talkative, yet knows when to talk and to whom depending on their disposition, with a constant smile on her face, not distracted by all the boys texting her all the time or obsessed about updating her Facebook status with how her minute by minute circumstances were. The drinks were cheap. The hurricanes were absolutely the drink of choice with whatever the deal that they have going on — with locals and tourists alike. The atmosphere was low key and non-trashy. Guys were not having to-go drinks’ funnels hanging around their necks. Women were not falling off their chairs after consuming 5 times the alcohol that their male companions would guzzle down because they knew they were not walking around town in 7″ stilettos. A very unlike FQ scene — a great refreshing change indeed. And my team won! What more can you ask for? Cheers!

They have the best two for one hurricanes and staff is friendly and there is a nice outdoor courtyard with high top tables. This is also next to where they do a haunted history tour so great place to wet your whistle before wandering off into the night

I came in here for the 2 for 1 Hurricane drink special from the Haunted Tour next door. There was hardly no one in here, which made it nice to me. The drinks were very strong! Awesome bar overall. I rated 4 Stars because I didn’t stay long or checked out the whole bar. The Hurricanes were well worth the visit though. I would suggest stopping in here for sure to grab a drink.

Great late night spot to grab some cheap drinks. Not loud and raucous. You can actually have a conversation with friends at 2 a.m. without yelling or fear of getting something spilled on you.

Bartenders were great here. Got a chicken finger basket because we needed to eat. Typical frozen fried food, but it hit the spot. Beautiful little place with a courtyard in the back. Proper pour on the Guinness!

Couldn’t resist the Finnegan. Went in, had a pint. Had an awkward conversation with someone who worked there I think? and left. The bartender was very nice though. She was shooing away the guy who was being weird. Meh.

Walked into Finnegan’s & was extremely disappointed. I was with a group of veterans who were denied drinks b/c one of the military ids had expired 2 days ago. Shawn was extremely rude and kicked us out«you are not allowed in this bar & it is not my problem» were his exact words. I have never been more embarrassed in my life or treated so rudely as Shawn treated us. Shawn you are welcome for my friends fighting for this country for you!

Totally loved this bar… went here twice on our vacation. Definitely not the biggest place, but its not a tourist trap. The bartenders are super friendly and loved chatting with some locals. Wish we would’ve tried their Fried Pickles since they are my fave… but it was plenty enough to cool down here and gulp down a couple of drinks.

I’ve visited Finnegan’s the last two year’s I’ve visited New Orleans. It’s right down the street from one of my favorite bars, and near the Voodoo Shop, across from the side street entrance of Pat O’Brien’s. It’s a respite from the craziness of Bourbon Street, but not so quiet that it’s boring. They have a great jukebox– this big screened juke that you can run with an App. It also takes pictures. Good beers on tap– I had possibly the freshest Abita Purple Haze(tap) I’ve ever tasted! They must really keep clean taps for that to happen. Servers are absolutely pleasant, with just the right amount of leaving you alone and taking care of you. An A-Okay place for light apps, and good beer.

Nice, roomy and cold. During the summer, those three things all together definitely make for a nice bar. Add beer an a shot of anything else and look out… and you now have Finnegan’s Good selection of on tap beer, my thing. The bartenders you may recognize from other bars, again, very friendly and easy to talk to. In a nice row of like bars, your bound to like this or the adjacent places. Its off of Bourbon street so sometimes it has the more adventurous tourist looking for a more local feel. Has a little patio area that is good for a quiet chat with that special someone.
