I can only judge for the breakfast! Which I love! Super affordable, good and filling. There are days when I stop to buy breakfast plates from DBLBLK and(comfortably) don’t eat anything else until dinner. My coworkers are always asking about my breakfast because it smells so good and looks good too. The guys that work there in the morning or always friendly and cute(but not uncomfortably flirty or anything like that)… They’re always cool and chill and service is pretty fast. The worker in the morning tries to remember my name which is nice. There’s parking on the backside of the building also(graffiti/mural side).

Staff was friendly Slow very very very slow it took over 30m after placing order to receive it… And it wasn’t hot. Very pricey for what you get when you count in that cheese bacon olives ect cost extra on the salad Also they pretty much put what they want on your food regardless of what you order. IE paid extra for Eggs on my salad but in exchange received croutons onions and tomatoes(of which I don’t eat and didn’t click the boxes) Order sweet potato fries and thought oh look how wet they must have put honey on top… Nope its oil from the cooker making my fries soaking wet and sour taste Co worker order hot sausage stuffed burger but in exchange received plain cheese burger But because in this case it took 42min from order to food most of our lunch break was over and was in a rush to get back to work on time so we didn’t check until we got back to the job site. Also tried to call in but was put on hold for 9min so we just walked in to find a huge crowd of 3 people inside… Also they charge $ 3 to park

Thanks for the parking tips fellow Unilocalers. My experience here was ok… maybe… I ordered the style fries with cheese and garlic, shrimp wrap, and honey BBQ wings. My husband had the Yaka Mein. I’ll start by saying that the wrap tasted pretty good. BUT the texture of the fries and wings seemed as tho they had been pre cooked like a day ago or way earlier that day. When I first received my food, I was ready to chow down so Immediately went in my bag for the wrap and as soon as I got the box open, a baby roach came running towards my food across the table. I immediately grabbed my food from the table. I was extremely hungry after a long day of walking, the food was hot and we’d just paid 30 bucks for everything so we just decided to eat in the car. The guy that took our order was pretty cool. The atmosphere was laid back.

Tired the shrimp burger after hearing and seeing pictures on Instagram. Extremely disappointed in the burger. It was dry and the shrimp didn’t add any flavor. It came with ranch on the burger but the chef was stingy with it which should not have been the case considering how dry the burger tasted. It also need more seasoning. The concept was good except it was poorly executed. The only good thing about the meal was the ranch fries. I will not be back. It was probably the worst burger ever. The meat tasted like dirt. You could tell the patty was not fresh and the bread was stale.

It was my first time eating there and I just want to know why it took exactly a hour to wait for 5 wings and loaded fries that had hard dried up cheese and rock hard bacon. Totally not going back … not worth the sky high price I had to pay either. :(disappointed and should have gone to wing shack !!! Let me just add … there where only a hand full of ppl ahead of me with small orders.

What a great hidden Gem this was. My cousin found this place via Instagram. The pictures are so enticing that I told her let’s do it. Following the GPS we found the place rather easily. Parking was not ideal. There is only two places on the street for parking. If you park on the right side of the building you will be towed. If you park on the left side of the building, your car has to be in the spots close to the building… please take note. We found parking on Tulane and paid the meter. Once in the building, we were in a long line, which was a good sign. The reason the line was so long was because of the do it yourself ordering via computer. As usual, we have bigger eyes then our appetites and ordered the shrimp burger, wings and style fries. The style fries were awesome. They were covered with seasoning and ranch dressing. The shrimp burger was a large patty stuffed with shrimp. The only gripe I have, is it was too big to bite into. However, I managed. The wings were spiced just right. All and all it was a great hidden gem that I will return to. Take my advice and try it. The prices were reasonable.

The chicken yakamein saved my life. Not only was it very delicious, but I swear it’s a cure for hangovers. Lol Didn’t take very long to get it either. The guy was nice enough to get it to me quickly as there were MANY large orders ahead of mine. Next time I go, I’ll be hangover free and try something more solid.

I, like many others, have been following this place on Instagram for a while. They’re burgers, wraps, and wings have been enticing me for months. I finally had a chance after work to swing by. Upon entering, the place smelled like everything I had imagined from the online photos. After much thought, I decided to try their«Shrimp Stuffed Burger», a large beef patty stuffed with… well shrimp. The pairing didn’t seem to make sense, but due to its popularity, it has to be good, right? The sandwich is topped with lettuce, shredded cheese, bbq sauce and ranch dressing. I even went the extra mile and paid for«style fries» w/cheese and ranch. I pay my 12 whole dollars proudly in anticipation of an all-out Food Orgy. ITSABOUTTOGODOWN! So I’m waiting on my order, when suddenly, another customer asked if I was the owner of the black truck in front, then urges me to come outside. Ok so because I’m still new to New Orleans, I’m not accustomed to the amount of parking that requires payment in the CBD. This restaurant was hard enough to find as is and when I arrived there was no parking attendant, nor ample signage regarding the paid parking. No more than 5 minutes after parking and ordering, my truck had a boot on it along with 2 other customers. The vulturous company who owns the parking lot apparently sits and waits for unassuming, hungry customers to fall prey to the inconspicuous warning signs. After paying $ 105 for the boot’s removal, I’m furious, but am hoping at the very least that the meal is worth it, which I have no doubt it will be. BUTNOPE! I was already suspicious of the odd pairing of shrimp inside of a ground beef patty, and upon first bite I realized that my suspicions were right. For a $ 2 up-charge, the shrimp adds absolutely NOTHING to the burger. It might as well not have even been there. The beef itself was very dry and not remotely as flavorful as I’d hoped. I tasted no ranch, while the bbq was overwhelming and drowned the burger. The Style Fries allow you to top plain fries with your choice of 2 toppings. I had ranch and cheese. They were actually pretty good. The fries themselves weren’t as crispy as I would’ve liked, but the flavors were there. All-in-all, having paid $ 117 for an unsatisfactory meal, this was an outrageous and horrible initial experience. I still look forward to trying their wings next time though… hey I’m a foodie! What can I say?

Would love to try this place for lunch but it’s hard to place lunch orders due the fact that there is no menu or working phone number.

After weeks of following the company’s Instagram page and being enticed by pictures of their popular menu items, my friend and I made plans to visit the restaurant. Our first and second attempts were thwarted by day-of closures, which we were made aware of through social media. Finally, we were able to drop in on a Friday. Getting to the place was relatively easy. The restaurant is located in the CBD between Canal and Tulane. Parking was not ideal. The parking lot was big enough but according to a sign on the door, it costs three dollars or you will get towed. However, there was no apparent place to pay and no attendant in sight. We reluctantly parked on the street after a guy in front suggested it. Once we were inside the music playing in the background(or more like in the foreground, given its volume) was as intimidating as the staff. Where most cafes opt for easy listening, Double Black filled the dining room with«hood anthems»(don’t get me wrong, I love trap music but wasn’t expecting it at a «café»). The staff seemed to be disinterested at the notion of having new customers. They were not overly welcoming and explained their menu and ordering process in a hurry-up-you’re-bother-me and in a nearly inaudible way. Pricing is reasonable, as I ordered the Shrimp Wrap, which is under $ 10. I added the Style Fries and a drink bringing my bill a little under $ 15. Where Double Black falls short in customer service and atmosphere they make up in the portion size and taste of their food. I dug into the fries first. They were delicious and some of the best I’ve had in a long time. They worked well with the sauce on top of them. It wasn’t too heavily seasoned and they were just the right temperature. The same can be said for the wrap. The shrimp were a great size and cooked just right with a sweet/savory sauce in the wrap that brought it all together. The food may be worth some of the hype but the truth is, this restaurant is one of those places you might want to order your food and leave. When leaving this place you more than likely will not get a cheerful, «Thank you. Come Back Soon.» but if the owners are basing their business on just taste alone, those niceties aren’t needed… they know you’ll be back.

I am always on the hunt for hidden gems! I saw their business on instagram and wondered how could a new business have 14k followers already. Hmmmm! I had to check it out a d sniff and smell for myself. Reggie, my fiancé’, was just as a anxious for a new find! I will be honest, cant’t totally pronounce the name but I can say the drinks are good and the BBQWINGS were excellent. This is a to go gourmet station. Oh, by the way, have a sip while you wait. Nothin fancy, just gourmet food worth your 15 minutes! Parking is great, even though it is located downtown. You can sit and eat or take to go. The WORLDISYOURS! I was disappointed that there were no tables but I can tell all good things for these stakeholders.
