I came here for breakfast on my way to work and was looking for a breakfast sandwich. They only offer one breakfast sandwich– bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. They are all pre made, so you can’t customize if you don’t want cheese or want to use a different type of bread. Luckily, this was what I wanted so I didn’t have a problem with it. The sandwich was decent and hit the spot. Definitely not the best bacon egg and cheese croissant I’ve ever had, but my expectations weren’t high considering it was pre made. I also got coffee there, which wasn’t great in my opinion. It seemed watered down — I’ve definitely had better. However, they do offer soy milk as an option, which some places don’t have. Overall this place was okay and I would eat the breakfast Sandwich again if I was hungry before work, but I would pass on the coffee.

This is not a Starbucks, PJs coffee, or popular local coffee house. G&O is here for basically one reason, to provide something quick and simple for your local working person. Would I recommend going out of your way to come here, heck no! But if you work close by and need a coffee fix or maybe something quick and simple to eat, this is your place. Don’t expect the best service, most times there are only two people who take orders and prepare drinks and food making for some long waits on occasion. The food is simple and basically what could be made at your own home but if you are stuck in the office and need something to quench your hunger or a «wake me up» this place will can help out.

Good place for down home cooking. Good quality, good value and good people. I love the catfish and potato salad.

This gem of an eatery is two blocks from where I work and I couldn’t be happier about it. Their food is fresh, fast, and delicious, the staff is always kind and helpful, and the baked goods are always perfect. The«Smoked Salmon BLT» is divine. Just thinking about it is literally making my mouth water. It’s. That. Good.

I just discovered this gem yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier! Other reviews suggest that there are better competitor’s in the area, but I disagree. This spot is bright, airy, smells good, has free Wi-Fi, fresh cupcakes, ice water on tap(at a convenient serve-yourself spot in the middle of it all), and the best part is: I can study by the window! Most other spots in the area are noisy and claustrophobic. Here, I can cozy up with a hand-pulled espresso and use my laptop(remember, free Wi-Fi!). Also, the ingredients are top-notch. The pesto on my bagel sandwich yesterday was so flavorful and delicious, I wanted to buy some to take home. They make unique creations and have combinations I’ve never heard of or thought about. They also put a lot of care into making each item — it never feels thrown together or like it’s from a cafeteria-style assembly line. Give it a try, and see for yourself!

Yummy! I am happy to see a good lunch spot in the Exchange Center building. I have visited twice and both orders get my thumbs up. Quiches are fresh made and tasty. The Salmon Blt(served on rye according to menu, but I asked for multi-grain) was absolutely delicious! Options are fresh, healthy, and tasty.

AIRPORTKIOSKMENU: 5 Sandwiches, 4 Salads, & Zapp’s are the only sides; DISINTERESTEDSTAFF: more interactive with trade reps than customers; ASUNIMPRESSIVEASTHEBEADSTHROWNBACKINTOTHETUCKS’ TOILET. I’m totally perplexed by recently opened G&O Foods’ market positioning. I can discern no unique differentiation from its many established and superior competitors. It reminds me of that classic SNL episode set in the«Scotch Boutique» that only sells varieties of scotch tape(«would you like the 36 footer or a 72?»). 20WAYBETTERFQ/CBD CAFÉOPTIONS: Welty’s Deli, Mister Gregory’s, Reuben’s, Jimmy J’s, Commerce, Cajun Mike’s, Fred Rick’s, Mojo Lounge, Jaegerhaus, Café Conti, Café Soule, Café Beignet, Fleur De Lis, Merchant, Croissant D’Or, Casey’s Tom Foolery, Meals from the Heart, Jimmy John’s, Daisy Dukes, even Between the Bread if you don’t mind the wait.

The closer your workplace is to Loyola Ave. the fewer great options you have for morning coffee, afternoon lunch, and after work cocktails. Everyone in my office was thrilled when G & O opened up nearby to provide all of those things, each with aplomb. In the morning they have good coffee, delicious pastries, and even quiche and breakfast sandwiches. Their lunch offerings are amongst the best downtown. Sandwiches and salads — all made in-house(special shout-out to the bread, which is unfailingly amazing). The asparagus, ham and brie is especially good(yeah, I wasn’t sure about the asparagus either — I was mistaken, it is so goddamn good). Salads are well thought-out foreground items — not just perfunctory additions to the«real menu». I had some kind of salmon salad the other day that I could happily live on. There’s a happy hour with a full bar, good beer and wine selection, and a handful of really nice craft cocktails — all deftly slung by an engaging and attentive bartender. They also open on the weekend for Saints games, and with lots of game parking in the area it’s a great perch for working up the perfect pre-game buzz.
