I’m really shocked at these other ratings. My eggs Benedict were served COLD. The shrimp and grits were yucky. The home fries were the only thing I enjoyed. Our poor waitress was overwhelmed while the girl behind the bar did nothing. All the other guests and I were so confused why she wasn’t helping make drinks. She was literally sipping a cup of coffee, and waited 10 minutes to make my latte! Definitely hope management reads this review.

This is a cool, hip little breakfast spot next to the tail end of the French Market on the corner of Barracks St & French Market Pl. The craw fish omelette was really good. My daughter had the Seafood Benedict and it was AMAZING, wish I got that. My mom had the grits and they were super tasty! My Bloody Mary was a little salty, and still good. The coffee was quite good and we all shared an waffle with fresh fruit that was done just right.

Wait staff was awesome, especially Alex who gave us plenty of recommendations for places to visit around town. Food was decent, the shrimp po boy had a bit too much of a «breading» flavor. However, the alligator sausage po boy was bursting with flavor. Bloody Mary’s were tasty and strong. A good way to start the day.

Nice, casual place for breakfast. Fast, friendly service. Good coffee. We both had the grits, which were first-rate. My friend had the eggs Benedict, which he proclaimed very good. I had the omelet with asparagus which were excellent. Good find right next to the French market.

It’s a cute little place opposite the french market. It looked close from the outsidr but I figured out it was because of the cold weather. The service was friendly & efficient. There weren’t many people as it was mid afternoon. They ran out of chai latte but the cappuccino was in a nice big mug that really helped warm up my fingers. I didn’t realise fresh cream tasted so good with coffee! I ordered pancakes — I have a weak spot 4 them. There r several options to pick from: blueberry etc. I chose pecans short(stack of 2) pancakes. It looked delicious. Best ever pancakes in my life. Like seriously. The crunchy pecans r at the bottom & was absolutely tasty. It was super filling too.

We originally had a reservation at a «jazz style buffet» in the heart of the French Quarter, but decided to pass after reading some of the Unilocal reviews. Instead, we took a trip to Café Fleur De Lis for brunch. BESTDECISIONEVER. The seafood cake Benedict was out of control good. Crab and shrimp are combined into a cake and fried perfectly, giving it a nice crunch. It’s over a warm biscuit, topped with a pouched egg, and their version of a hollandaise. I also shared a blueberry pancake with the table. It was spectacular. Yes — spectacular. Like the way you would describe a fireworks show. So fluffy, so fresh, so delicious. This is a must for brunch in the Nola area!

We came here for lunch today and it was awesome! They have Bacon Bloody Mary’s which are the best I’ve ever had. Also they were large in size, so they were well worth the $ 8.50. I plan to come by a few more times just to get another one while we are visiting. The service was great that we received. Prompt and courteous! I ordered the Brisket Sliders with Sweet Potato chips. It was one of their specials. It was so good! The brisket was sweet and the chips were cooked perfectly! Great place to come for Breakfast, Lunch or Brunch. The Bacon Bloody Mary’s are a Must Have!

Wonderful Brunch!!! My husband had the Gouda bacon burger… excellent and I had the shrimp and grits and short stack with fresh fruit. Shrimp and grits were very good and savory and the pancakes were awesome… I mean seriously delicious! Service was great and atmosphere here was cozy. Definitely recommend!

Damn fine breakfast in the French Quarter. Sumptuous cheddar grits topped with salty and savory shrimp formed the highlight of the meal, and a side bowl of fresh fruit and a bottomless cup of chicory coffee rounded things out for under $ 20. Service was courteous, prices reasonable, and food much better than more touristy joints a few blocks over. Well worth a visit if you’re looking for a good brunch spot.

Wandered into this place from the French Market. Had a wonderfully refreshing strawberry mimosa with muddled fruit. Went back today for breakfast. The seafood eggs benedict was incredible. The biscuit was buttery and soft. The eggs were perfectly poached. The hollandaise sauce was dedicate. The crab cake was well seasoned, though could have been less bready. I was also able to switch out fresh fruit instead of potatoes. Oh, and to top it off, the coffee is brewed by the cup. If you are near the Old US Mint, stop here. You’ll enjoy it!

Although this place was very busy and we waited over an hour before we received our food, the shrimp and grits were awesome. If you love grits, you will appreciate this dish. I would recommend this place.

I live in the neighborhood and was delighted that a good and inexpensive place had opened for breakfast/lunch. I have now eaten there a dozen or so times and have to admit that I loved everything I ordered. Honestly EVERYTHING is good. For breakfast get the crawfish omlet! And a side of pancakes… In fact, get a side of pancakes with anything you order, they are that good. For lunch snag a poboy… Shrimp is my favorite, but oyster is equally as good. They use Leidenheimer’s French bread and it’s the best in the city for a good poboy. The fries are fresh cut and amazing. The burgers are good too. Oh, one last thing… Try the seafood eggs Benedict… Amazing.

First time here. Great food! We started off with the Bacon Bloody Mary. It was FABULOUS! My husband had the pancakes. He said they were the best he’d ever had! I would have to agree! The seafood eggs Benedict was good but too rich for my liking. It comes with 2 but I could barely eat 1. The grits were ah-maxing! Next time I’d get the shrimp and grits! Enjoy!

This was a recommendation from a local resident/business owner, and he suggested the shrimp and grits. We got here at noon. It wasn’t busy, but the food was made to order. I ordered the shrimp and grits, café au lait. My friend ordered the country breakfast and coffee. The recommendation was spot on good! It was one of the best shrimp and grits that I had in a while. Creamy cheesy grits with a tinge of lemony butter and shallot flavor atop the shrimp. Café au lait and coffee were good too. My friend’s breakfast was good, she mentioned the biscuit was really really good. The breakfast included a Boudin sausage(a Cajun sausage made of rice, meat and vegetables, pulverized) Sausage was good, but not a personal preference… she preferred those sausages on the meatier side. Everything was made to order and very fresh. The customers seated at an adjacent table had a Bloody Mary that looked delicious. The food was so good that we forgot to take pictures(sorry…but the pictures from others looked the same). Highly recommend this place… will come back again to try the seafood Benedict. The shrimp and grits is a good one to order!

Don’t let the(never ending) road construction detour you from trying this new place. Right across from the French Market it is friendly and comfortable inside. I had the farmers omelet– sautéed veggies and lots of real cheese make this a great way to start your day walking around or soaking up the remnants of the night before;)

Nice little café… Friendly staff and the food was decent. My husband had the fruit bowl and it was fresh fruit thank goodness. I had the healthy breakfast the turkey bacon was super soggy and the egg whites were a bit runny so that would be my only complaint. My oatmeal was super delicious. There was construction outside which messed up the atmosphere but that was no fault of theirs. I would return this give it a second try.
