Solid meal after 10 pm when arriving in midtown hungry. Enjoy picking my noodle of choice and building my carry out carton from there. Fresh and as healthy or «bad» as you choose.

I went for the first time yesterday. The menu is a little overwhelming. It works by picking a base $ 5(noodles, noodles, and more noodles — oh and a veggie option) what you want on top, and a sauce. I am not the biggest noodle person but I LOVE wok so I got the veggie base. On top I got chicken, tofu, bamboo shoots, and shiitake mushrooms. I wasnt sure what sauce to get so I asked the employee who picked the Saigon Sauce. She let me try it and It was good but strong but I went for it any way. My meal came out to $ 13.55 after tax which is a bit more than I would have thought I would pay for a lunch meal. However, the portion is HUGE! I ate it for both my lunch and dinner. Overall would definitely order it again. I tried to pinpoint what it tasted like and I could think is that its similar to Moo Shoo — which I love!

Ehhhhhhh {Tina Belcher groan) This Asian Fusion was not at all what I was expecting nor what I wanted in my stomach. The long line outside suggested that this place was good. I was eagerly anticipating some yummy goodness in my belly. I ordered the multigrain rice with chicken and peanut sauce, pretty standard right??? No. Not at all, when I opened up my container I found an unappealing mess of meh ingredients in my container. My meal had a peculiar sourness to it that threw me for a loop and what not appetizing in the least bit. I couldn’t finish the meal… If I get sick later I will def remember the sour taste. On the upside the customer service was great!

The line moved quickly, so if you’re like me and have skipped this place because of that, no worries. Now about the food. I ordered the vegetables with chicken in saigon sauce. It smelled great and after opening the box I was anxious to eat. After I shuffled the fresh veggies on top, I noticed the puddle of liquid sauce drowning my veggies. I thought It wouldn’t matter and I kept eating but it was annoying. I kept lifting my fork and draining it. For that I could have found a ghetto Chino spot and gotten the same for $ 5(with thick sauce) and not $ 9 and soggy. I gave it 2 stars because the veggies were fresh and for the first 4 forks full I enjoyed it.

Pretty simple to see. Bagged food that is the furthest thing from fresh. Haphazard at best in the way the food is cooked. Worst rice and worst noodles I’ve had in NYC. Go anywhere else and you’ll be happier with the food. Had to return noodles that were covered in a peanut sauce that tasted like cement(that’s what I would imagine cement tasting like). The silver lining is they were sorry and made me something different. Unfortunately the rice dish was also very bad.

This spot always has a line out the door(granted it doesn’t have the most interior space)! Your meal is highly customizable, four choices of noodles(or a veg option), tons of choices for meat, handful of sauces to top it with, along with add’l toppings. The line moved quickly, the chefs cook right in front of you with their fancy woks, the cashiers are fast, and the food is good. Glad I tried it, one of the better, faster, cheaper spots in the area. The thai iced tea is a bit too sweet and has tea particles floating in my cup :-/though it is priced at $ 2, competitively cheap. I would recommend! :)

While searching for late-night pizza after a night of drinking, I couldn’t find anything open within reasonable walking distance on a really cold night. What was open, however, was Wok to Walk. The menu and concept looked pretty cool and creative — pick out your own combination of noodles, meat/protein, sauce, and other additives in lieu of traditional pre-set menu items. I chose my combination and then waited for it to be made. The employee who took and made my order was a combination of rude/impatient/difficult to understand(not Asian if that makes any difference, all the workers appeared to be Middle Eastern) which sort of took away from my experience. There wasn’t anything in particular he did that was rude, but you know when you get that vibe off of an employee that’s sort of like ~ugh… a customer is here~? I know I gave that off a bunch when I worked in retail so I can recognize it fairly quickly. Having to ask him to repeat himself a couple times because he spoke quietly and with a heavy accent didn’t make him any happier to serve me. As for the food — meh. I took it to go and ate it back at my hotel which wasn’t too far away. The food was still hot when I got to my room so the quality didn’t suffer by taking it to go. I’m assuming if I ate the food right in the restaurant I would’ve had the same experience. The chicken I had was sub-par and there was more chewy bits that I had to spit out than I would have liked. The sauce didn’t really stand out at all and I think I only ended up eating about half of my carton of food. I don’t live or work in NYC so I know I won’t be back. But even if I lived there, I’d give tons of other places a shot before I’d head back to Wok to Walk again.

I went in to this store for the first time ever today looking for something new and I looked at the menu and I decided to get a veggie dish with teriyaki sauce(delicious btw) and I was attended with wonderful service by a wonderful young lady by the name of Darielis her service and patience was top of the line and of course I am going to recommend all of my friends and continue to go and get food here! Loved it so much! Great customer service 5⁄5 Stars!

Cheap and consistently good. It’s definitely not something that I would eat if I had to be especially alert and focused. It’s coma food — enjoy on a less-than-busy Friday afternoon with your coworkers. I wouldn’t do it before an important meeting or conference… But anyway — You can ask to mix some sauces! My favorite combo: Peanut + Curry Coconut on Udon noodles with shiitake mushrooms and other veggies. Yummy!

I happened to stumble upon this place during lunchtime. I concur with everyone that mentioned It’s small and narrow. BUT the serve delicious tasting food with sauces that will drip down the side yo face with your eyes closed… yeah that good. As you wait in line for your food the cooks be doin their thang, raging up flames like they on Broadway :). It does makes the line go even quicker.

This is my third time having Wok to walk and I must say I do enjoy it. Love seeing my food cooked in front of me with fresh ingredients. My only downfalls about this is the lengthy time it takes to get your food during lunch time even if you make an online order prior to the lunch rush and you can get tired of the taste of the food rather quickly. If they added soup to their menu it would be great. Great concept just needs a few tweaks to make this perfect.

Awesome food but delivery time is horrible. The food is always late or cold when it comes. Nonetheless it is delicious. I love the chicken with pineapple with the peanut sauce. It’s very tasty. I like the concept and I like the food. Just wish the service was a little better.

Interesting concept based off a Dutch-Chinese fusion concept(franchised originally in the Netherlands) and one that’s not too cost prohibitive either. The concept is quite simple; start with base($ 4.95), add veggies/toppings(price varies per topping), and add your sauce. They make everything behind a glass partition so it’s kinda dope — almost like a hibachi experience. I got the egg noodles and added tofu and broccoli, and tokyo sauce. For a lunch meal, it tasted pretty good. I know these guys are a bit more health conscious than your traditional woks by using fresh products. Only bummer with this place is that it’s quite packed. Not just«packed» with customers, but«packed» in space too. Very very narrow space — probably influenced from its European-based shops. With the demand this place gets, it could use a larger space. People can order online, but I just feel more people will come through walking by — after seeing the chefs cooking. I’d consider expansion, because this place is probably doing well financially.

At Wok to Walk, proteins, noodles and vegetables are selected and stir-fried to order, then placed into a foldable container that makes it easy to bring back to the office. It’s an easy-to-understand concept and the execution is fast as well. I do wonder if the actual final product has wandered a bit farther away from the«southeast asian street culture» and commitment to health that’s espoused on the website. Saying something that comes out a wok is greasy or heavy isn’t a novel complaint, but I thought the grease from my saigon sauce was the only main detraction. It was prepared quickly, the ingredients were fresh and well-mixed. The portion size is too much for a weekday lunch, but it’s easy to seal the box and eat the rest as a snack. May I suggest the option of a dry rub to for the grease conscious out here?

Avoid! I came here because the concept seemed cool and it had some good reviews but mostly because of false advertising! The $ 5 dish is just noodles with cabbage and some bean sprouts(what they refer to as ‘vegetables’ lol). So I ordered bok choy. For 2 extra dollars, you get ONE chopped up piece of bok choy. So sleazy! For those complaining about portion size, I paid $ 7.5 for what you see below — this is their version of a full portion(about 60 percent if the container). To top it off, this was soooo salty with virtually no veggies and a ton of gross sauce that I threw it out after a few bites. Seriously. Avoid!

If you like beef lomein, get the egg noodle, steak, and Saigon sauce combination topped with peanuts and fried onions. The results was an delicious and savory beef lo mein. I would come back and get this again instead of taking a run to a local generic Chinese restaurant. *lost my food picture, but have a picture of my friend’s veggie dish.

This place is great for a relatively quick and affordable lunch during work hours. I say«relatively» because the line is always out the door, and you’ll have to wait about 15 minutes for your food, but it’s worth it. You can choose from 4 different types of noodles and various toppings and sauces. My favorite are the udon noodles. Perfect amount of chew. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. I haven’t tried any of the others; I had udon first and if it ain’t broke… I love the spicy Asian sauce and another garlicky sauce. Their system is pretty efficient, though they should probably just take out the tables so people have space to stand while they wait for their food.

The food is good but nothing you can’t get anywhere else. The concept is pretty cool and watching the guy work is entertaining the first time you see it. There is false advertising with these places. The option of the $ 5 meal is just some noodles with cabbage and bean sprouts. I added broccoli and chicken to mine and it came out to be $ 10. It was a lot less food than I could have gotten at Chipotle and didn’t taste near as good. They would do a lot better if they raise the price for the basic option and put more in it. It just isn’t worth going in for the $ 5 option and adding anything makes the price jump a lot and they don’t give you much with each scoop. If they altered their model this place would be a lot more successful.

This place rules! #thatisall Simple concept = choose a noodle, veggies, protein, sauce, and toppings… and let the magic begin. Sure, it’s counter service, so you either have to fight for a counter table or take your food to go, but the food is tasty! T-A-S-T-Y! Plus, they have 7 or so sauces to choose from, which means you can have a different taste just about every time you stop by! Oh, and for those who REALLY think they are going to eat here for $ 5, well you are just plain foolish. The sign is very clear, for $ 5, you get just one noodle and one sauce – no veggies or meat. So, quit complaining and read the signs that are posted. Got 10 minutes to spare for a quick on-the-go lunch? Like Asian noodles from different regions? Then, you’re in luck! This is your place! Take it for what it is and try this place! You’ll love it!

In all honesty, I’m a little disappointed. I woke up this morning with a strong hankering for coconut curry(don’t ask me why, I just did) and it was on my mind all morning from 6AM to approx. 11:30AM. I had it bad. It’s all I thought about while getting ready, going to work, at work. nothing, and I mean NOTHING, was going to stop me from having curry today. It’s now a little over noon, and I’m seriously feeling conflicted. On one hand, I love this place and everything about it, except for one small detail. That being, I really didn’t like the taste of the food and admittedly, it seems my fellow Unilocalers were right on point with their average rating of 3 stars based on the food. I loved everything else, though. I loved the concept of their cheap Asian noodles, served fast and conveniently in a «to-go» fashion. They’re friendly, they open up early at 11, which is pretty early around here and the portion size is large. The concept itself is brilliant, I just wish the execution were better. Based on some reviews, I can’t believe there’s even a debate going on here about the portion size. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but anyone who says the portion size here is small is either a liar, famished, plus-sized or a glut. I bought two noodles, worrying that $ 5 for a bowl would be pint sized, but no. My second one is sitting right next to me, virtually untouched because I’m so damn full from my first. To the other reviewer who wrote that their base vegetables consisted of just beansprout, either you went on a off-day or you added a colorful flourishing to your negative review, presumably to add emphasis on how bad the food tasted. I looked carefully, and I saw carrots, scallions, cabbage in mine. I also saw the egg bits in there too, in case you’re wondering. I ordered the Egg noodles with Bali sauce(peanut sauce) which came with the standard veggies, egg, and was topped with crushed peanuts. I also ordered the Rice noodle with Bangkok sauce(yellow curry coconut) which also came with the standard veggies, egg, and was topped with cilantro. For a drink, I got the Thai Iced Tea, and that was not bad. Strong in flavor, but I guess for the sake of timing, they were pre-made and so no ice, which is so essential in Thai ICED Tea. The noodles on the other hand, were hard to eat. The sauce tasted like it was incredibly watered down and I really didn’t enjoy it at all. The Bangkok was slightly easier to eat than the Bali, but they were both pretty bad. There was no flavor. P. S. Please do something to improve flavor. I want to love everything about you! I want to come back!

I like going to this place for lunch. The service is quick. The food tastes fresh. Wok to Walk sells Thai Ice tea along with some other beverages. I usually order the jasmine rice with mixed peppers or broccoli or pineapple mixed with the sweet and sour sauce. The sauce tastes heavenly! Convenient to get to, I enjoy the stroll around the block. People line up during lunch hour and the line extends to the outside of the restaurant. Granted it is a SMALL place. It gets a bit crowded inside. Some manage to get a small spot to eat their meal. I give it 3 stars because at times I waited for 15 minutes to get my food. By the time I get my food, my lunch hour ended.

I 100% agree with one of the reviews below…” who ARE these people that think that you don’t get enough food here? it’s a heavy lunch for sure — a full wok to walk-branded take on a Chinese food takeout container”. Gotta love the gluttony in America. This is easy 2 meals for me. I ordered the whole wheat noodles, with shrimp in the Bangkok(curry coconut) sauce and cilantro. I thought it was tasty. It had a good amount of veggies, eggs and lots of shrimp. Yes, they are small but do you really expect jumbo shrimp?! My meal was prepared fairly quick, staff were courteous and the line was out the door when I arrived. Clearly they are doing something right. Glad I found this place to add to my go to lunch spots

Disregard the review below mine: this place has exactly the rating it deserves. I came to Wok to Walk last night, and got the egg noodle with tofu(with extra garlic for + $ 0.60). The total came to about $ 8.50 This place is alright. The price was a little high for what was effectively a to go box of noodes(which were okay) with only tofu in them. Although this is supposed to be a to go place, my noodles took about 10 minutes to be prepared– and this was a relatively unbusy time of night. Overall, okay, but wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.
