It’s close to 4 am and we didn’t have many options for late night NY pizza. There was a short line at this hour and we just ordered the pepperoni pizza and tried a bite of the Sicilian pizza. The pepperoni was not that great and there was a lot of crust. Where as the Sicilian one was barely warm. Not coming here again!

Loved this place. The slices are so huge for $ 2.50 and pie cost $ 15 but the slices are not as huge. Really good pizza!

This was the only place I went for a slice while on a recent week-long vacation in NYC, but boy oh boy was it a good choice. Village Pizza was my girlfriend’s neighborhood pizza joint of choice when she lived in New York in the early 2000s, and I can see why. The place itself is about the size of two claustrophobic broom closets… I would order to go 10,000% of the time. We got there right around lunch hour and it was well-ordered chaos inside. Orders are called back and forth over the counter to 4 hard-working pros working the kitchen, and lots of Italian was being spoken too. As others have noted, it’s cash-only and quite affordable. We each ordered plain cheese slices, sprinkled a bit of pepper flakes on them and then ate in the little park across the street. The slices were amazing – hot and juicy but not greasy(I used my napkin but I didn’t need it to save my life or my clothes or my pride or anything like that). The sauce was super flavorful and I’d say just a tiny bit tart, and the cheese was the perfect amount, texture, and flavor… cheese like this is probably the highest hurdle between me and veganism. They serve cheese like this in the Dairy section of heaven. The crust was foldable at the point/middle and crispy/chewy at the edge. An outstanding first-time New York pizza experience.

As I always say sometimes customer service it is everything. Thre PIZZA here is Amazing 5 starts always good!!! however the service could get better. I came few days ago for a pizza, they do not have a prices on the pizzas, so ofcourse I asked how much the slices, the gut asked me wich one, I was like all, he looked at me like(do you Really want me to go over all the price). He asked me to point on the ones I want to get, I was like it is depends on the price. Anyway Ended up asking only on a 3 slices.(I could of get one of each) but he was too tiered going over all the 7 selections he had. So the pizza are ready he asking me to pay, before I’m handing the money I asked how much, I told him I thought it is would be less, so ask him to rep it the prices, in which he did, BUTWITHHUGEATTITUDE and then say ed something in Spanish to his coverker I think It was very disrespectful!!!

Took the star off because they’re cash only. The pizza is great, prices are better. Definitely not the place to go if you’re looking for a sit down meal, very small, but if you’re looking for something to grab and go, this is your spot.

Great New York slice. People complaining about the atmosphere or the gruff employees aren’t real new yawkahs. You want friendly go get a shitty slice in San Francisco.

Small place. Very little seating(including one table within the swing of the front door), but I enjoyed the pizza(I had spinnach). It was exactly what I think of when I think of NY(or east coast) pizza — which I don’t get all that often living in CA(there are a FEW places that make decent NY pizza, though). A friend and I had two slices each and we split one can of soda — total cost $ 14 All in all, I was happy as I got what I expected… but nothing more.

Pretty average pizza. Not great. Not bad. Prices are good. It’s a slight bummer that they are cash only.

$ 2.50 for a regular cheese slice. Was not bad at all. Close to but not as good as the regular slice at Mama Suprema near MSG, although it is up there. Good pizza if you are walking by and need a quick bite.

CHEESEPIZZA!!! That is all. It is 2.50 for a good portioned size. The crust is thin and crispy and the cheese and sauce is delicious. It’s a very small place with two or three tables inside and is cash only. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the Chelsea area and want an authentic NY pizza.

This is a great place to grab a quick slice of authentic New York pizza! $ 2.50 per slice… It’s not $.99 pizza but its worth the price. The pieces were large and one piece satisfied my hunger. The crust was crispy and the slices had a good cheese to sauce ratio. This was my first slice of NY style pizza in NY and it did not disappoint!

The service was great, the guys at the counter were really friendly. The pizza was good, but not incredibly amazing. My friend liked it a lot more than I did. We got the chicken and broccoli which was kind of weird because it was breaded chicken, basically chicken nuggets, and not grilled chicken, and a slice of the olive, which was better. It was nice and quick, but not the best pizza I’ve ever had.

It got a B health rating and I went in anyway. I was hungry, ok? Let me say right off the bat, this is not a pleasant place. Five tiny tables, crammed into a place so cramped the garbage bin had to be outside. This is clearly meant to be taken to go, though many people don’t — as evidenced by the crumbs and old napkins littering the table. The staff are gruff, with short, loud bursts of language, and will glower a bit as they heat your slices. So why the 4-star rating? This is some damn fine pizza. Ranging from $ 2.50 a slice for plain to $ 4.00 for two-topping slices, these guys nail it across the board. Tasty thin crust that juuuust cracks when you fold it? Check. Flavorful, well-seasoned sauce? You bet. Real cheese that doesn’t miss any spots, but doesn’t drown the pizza? Spot on. So my advice to you is to let the barks of the staff roll off place your order, and take it to go — this pizza is definitely worth it.

We weren’t too sure if they were open at first, but after seeing people through the window and the variety if pizza at the counter, we quickly ran to get some cash as they’re store is cash-only. The staff is friendly and good at what they do– making mouth watering thin crust pizza pies! It was my first time and I had the broccoli cheese pizza! Perfectly crispy and the flavor of the broccoli was on point! This joint is a go-to whenever you’re in the area. I’ll definitely be back.

Very good pizza, not much seating but we got the table by the window so we enjoyed watching the world go by as we relaxed after a walk on the high line. Pizza was very good, many options for toppings. Fast service.

Village Pizza is a hole-in-the-wall establishment, and the pizza is really good. They serve thin crust pizza with several topping choices. There aren’t many tables or chairs inside, but the park is right across the street and a great place to enjoy a slice on a nice day. I just got a simple slice of cheese pizza($ 2.50) that they heated up for 30 seconds or so. My first bite was great: a not-excessive amount of cheese atop a crunchy/crispy dough. I’m not a huge fan of the crust, but then again, I don’t really like any type of pizza crust. It wasn’t the best slice of pizza I’ve ever had, but it was better than the average slice of pizza(at least based on my pizza experience) and worth stopping by if you are in the mood for pizza and in the area.

I came in here yesterday wanting 2 Sicilian slices with pepperoni. They only had one Sicilian slice available so that was heated up. I noticed a few slices of Neapolitan pizza with pepperoni so I asked the same guy to heat one of those up for me. It took about 7 minutes to have everything heated up. I was asked if I wanted it to go, to which I replied yes. I forgot to put the red pepper flakes and oregano on them but those were available. It cost $ 6.50 total($ 2.75 for each plain slice one extra topping brought the price up to $ 3.25 each)
