This place’s a nice addition to the neighborhood, but always disappointed when it comes to food. Def. wouldn’t recommend here for brunch as menu’s very limited and never satisfying. :/If your brunch comprises of just having beer or unlimited mimosa, then go for it. There’s plenty of other good places around for food. Also, I’m sorry, nachos should be available at all time(if I’m at a bar).

Went to brunch and had unlimited mimosas. I definitely enjoyed the food, everything was delicious… Minus the fact that I found a hair in my food. But they quickly apologized and brought out a new plate for me. I was a little surprised that we didn’t even get a couple dollars off or anything! Other than that little incident, I would still recommend this spot

Food was so good. Got the Tryon Fries. They took a while to come so the bartender gave us a drink on the house. The place was packed but we still got a spot at the bar. Great for some good drinks, food and good talk with friends.

I live on Sickles St. right around the corner from this little gem of a pub, and I love it. It’s my go-to hang out with it’s food and Cards Against Humanity tourneys.

This place opened about a year ago. It’s right off the A train which is pretty convinient. My friends were all excited about the craft beer here — they say it’s good, I’m not a beer person so I cant say much on that front. Here’s the thing with this place, is almost on Dyckman, but the crowd is a lot more laid back and less crazy — which is a nice change of pace on weekends. No hookah here(I’m not a fan) which is a plus. Lots of TV screens and they play plenty of football games. The food is typical bar fare(burgers, sandwiches) but good quality. Lots of tables to sit at and the bar area has plenty of space. Great addition to the neighborhood, looking forward to coming back.

Just lovely. A block away from the train and a cozy little wonderland when I went. Even with Sunday football and an ample amount of TVs, it still isn’t too crazy. I went for my sister’s birthday with a gang of girls and although brunch was over, we were able to get unlimited brunch drinks for 2 hours. It was advertised for 90 minutes but the waitress was gracious and let us have another pitcher. We ordered wings and they were not only surprisingly meaty but flavorful. This is a great, laid back addition to the neighborhood, one I will visit again.

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. It offers great food, a good drink selection and is reasonably priced. It has a very warm familiar, and welcoming feel. This is not my first time visiting Tryon public, and each time I have enjoyed myself. Last night, I went there with a few friends(to celebrate my engagement) and ordered the Tryon Red Eye Burger which was tens! And a friend ordered the fried pickles, you can’t beat good pub classics. Service was a little colder than usual last night. But overall a great meal and nice local place.

I arrived here at the tail-end of my friends’ dinner and just had a cocktail with them, so I can’t say too much about the food. Actually, I didn’t eat anything or order my own, but I did try the scraps from my friend Brian’s truffle burger. As I mentioned, they were already finished and I had dinner plans somewhere else. I can’t remember the name of the cocktail I drank, which was served in this cute copper mug, had whiskey + lime juice or something… it was amazing. I drank every drop and would’ve had more, but we were moving on to the next venue. Back to this appropriately named«You Fancy Huh? Truffle Burger» of Brian’s. By the time I showed up, their food scraps were cold, but my friend insisted that I sample this wonderful thing. I can’t lie. Even when this thing was cold and cheese no longer gooey, caramelized onions were limp and lifeless. THISBURGERWASBANGIN! I can only imagine the happiness it brought to my friend before my arrival. I was almost tempted to order one on the spot! However, this delicious thing and I will have to set another date. Oh yeah: Big screen TV and a projector for football. Decent sized bar area. I’ll pay better attention next time I’m there and actually order something. Or many somethings.

After visiting the cloisters my friend and I were looking for a place where we could catch the second half of some NFL games and we popped into the Tryon Public House. It was everything I wanted in a pub. It’s a really large space and it’s clean, yet maintains that pub feel. The beer selection was excellent, they had a wide range from domestic crafts to Belgian beers… but the real star of the day was my pulled pork and Gruyère grilled cheese. I have never had a grilled cheese as delectable as that. Idk if I’d ever order something different there again. Coupled with a Belgian brew… sheer bliss. I’m not up in this area as much as I’d like, and I love going to the cloisters. This pub may need to become a staple on the trip.

I visited on a Wednesday evening for something quick to eat. It is one of the newer places in the area so I wanted to give it a try. Their happy hour deals are exceptional as well as their prices. I ordered the OG burger with french fries. The bigger was super delish, but I cannot really say the same about the french fries. We also ordered the barbecue wings and their mac and cheese. The wings were about a 3⁄5. The mac and cheese literally tasted like a velveeta mac and cheese. They should really remove it from the menu. I would come back just to drink. The ambience was cozy and chill.

A friend of ours recommended this place for us to meet. Good choice! When I walked into this place, immediately, I felt comfortable. I liked the tavern like feeling and the wood structure takes you back in time. The décor looks warm and inviting. I like the atmosphere. It looks like this comes from a movie set. The menu offers an array of tempting foods. I ordered a salad with an egg and unsweetened ice tea. Talk about delicious! My husband ordered the fish and chips. The fish lies on a bed of fries. He said it tasted good. This tavern offers a good list of beer. You won’t be disappointed! Located near the A train and other local shops, you can walk and shop around after you eat. If you want to go to a casual place for eats or to hang out with friends, I recommend this place.

I didn’t care for this place at all. Went with co-workers for after work drinks and bar food. The sangria was just red wine with some cut up orange pieces in it. The happy hour price was $ 7 I think that’s $ 1 less than the regular price. They put way too much ice in the glass and don’t even fill it up. We ordered the Mac & Cheese & the short rib sliders. The mac & cheese was supposed to be three cheese. Instead it tasted like buttered shell macaroni with toasted panko crumbs on top. Served in a cute little cast iron skillet. But had no cheese flavor at all. $ 10 I think. The sliders tasted like pulled pork sandwiches. The bbq sauce was too sweet & there were no crisped up onions as the menu stated $ 12 for three. Also, it was 3pm & the place was open but while looking for somewhere to go abd searching Unilocal it stated they open at 5pm but we happened to be driving by and noticed that it actually was open. There were kids at the bar too. That’s just a no-no in my book. I wouldn’t go back here.

I came here with a large party at lunch time. First off, It’s nice to see a menu like this in Inwood, ala truffle burgers and plenty of vegetarian options! The truffle burger caught my eye but I don’t eat meat so I had to pass. The ambience here is nice, and my party was quite loud and people did not seem to mind, unlike say Park View across the street. Unfortunately I was not impressed with the food. $ 15 for a ‘Beet’ Burger that had a very strange texture– like a raw ground beef texture and a pretty bland off flavor. I was rather disappointed in that & the fries were pretty weak as well. I tasted a friend’s mac and cheese and found it overly buttery tasting. Nice ambience, but for these«manhattan» prices the food needs a major overhaul.

In its short few months of being open, Tryon has fully incorporated itself into the Inwood neighborhood. On any given weekend, it’s become the go-to local spot to watch a game, meet new people, sip a beer on tap or cocktail(which they now offer), and eat some pub food. I’ve heard numerous people mention the pre-Tryon days, as if it’s a defined era of Inwood history, and most seem to favor its presence at the corner of Broadway. The bartenders and owner are friendly, welcoming, and quick. They remember your name and often what you prefer. Case in point, Eddie knows I take a rye old fashioned sans cherry and orange nonsense, with extra bitters, without my asking. Sometimes there is live music and other times, they play some good old 90s jams. As for food and drink, I’ve only tried the beet burger, which was fairly bland. It could use an ample dose of garlic and spice but the fries were right on– key to a successful pub. I’ve heard their burgers and wings are pretty fantastic and the brunch looks like it’s worth a try. It’s all decently priced, which only adds to the allure. They have numerous beers on tap, standard wells, and recently introduced a limited cocktail menu. And they have alcoholic ginger beer… sold. If you get the chance to swing by, you are in for a chill night of solid food and drinks, friendly patrons and servers, and a great taste of the Inwood neighborhood.

Great place to go afterwork to unwind and have a few cold ones. They offer a very good beer selection at excellent prices as well as a nice Happy Hour to help you unwind without breaking the bank. Food is good here with the regular bar food selection. The wings, truffle burger are never a letdown. They also have lots of TVs and a seating around the entire bar as well as tables with waiter service. Crowd is very mixed here and you will run into some strange characters. Variety of sports games are played on all TVs so you will be able to enjoy your favorite game while either unwinding or just catching up with your buddies. Lots of singles come to this bar also to meet new people or just start up a conversation. Nice addition to this neighborhood.

Love this place ! Excellent addition to the neighborhood. Place looks great. The staff is cordial and friendly; and the beer flows freely !(well, you still gotta pay for it). Great beer selections which include some very local ones which is nice and the food looks AMAZING. one of my new favorite local spots. p.s. extra star for actually having 2 bathrooms, as opposed to a one for all where you always end up in line.

Great addition to the neighborhood! I was out of the city for two weeks and when I came back I was surprised to see the beautiful new addition to Broadway! It really is beautiful on the outside and inside and so is the staff.(Wink wink) Came and got drinks with the BF and there were lots of options at a fare price. The owner greeted us and was really excited to welcome guests and ensure they had a great time, which we did! We will be back to check out the food and I’ll update this review then. Looking forward to their complete opening.

I read an article about this place a few months ago on . I was eager for it to open up this winter and it finally did a few days ago. I’m very excited that Inwood finally has a spacious and trendy craft beer bar. The co-owner of the Bronx Brewery decided to invest in this neighborhood which is quickly gentrifying. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best and most popular bars in the area, especially during the summertime! The Cloisters and Fort Tryon park are steps away. I highly recommend anyone visiting the area to stop by Tryon Public House. It reminded me of Harlem Public, except larger and more TVs for sports. This is my kind of bar! The owner and staff are all very friendly. Although I liked the beer selection, I hope they expand it a bit more. I’ll definitely be coming back here. Excellent addition!!!
