Disgusting sangria super sweet, food very small we had to go somewhere else to eat, server put another bottle of sangria at my table and served on our glasses and neither one ordered and charged us,

It’s a place you could just walk by, I advise you not to. Go inside and enjoy great food, great wine and the best Sangria hands down. Isaac is the best

My experience here was nothing more than magical. This was as New York of an experience as you could get. The pasta carbonara was hands down the best restaurant carbonara I’ve ever had(none of that crummy cream sauce and peas garbage that many restaurants have). Our server who I suspect might have been the owner Isaac was absolutely charming and service was impeccable. The bill was surprisingly low. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anybody looking for a true New York Italian experience and I will definitely be back my next trip to the city.

The food and the ambiance was great and the service was even better. They had the most relaxing music playing in the background and a television that was playing old videos of artists like Elvis, Dean Martin, and Sinatra. It was the perfect Sunday night dinner spot.

The owner was amazing, so friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I did not know my meal had onions in it, which I dislike very much so I did not enjoy my meal but everyone else loved theirs. I didn’t have the heart to send my food back because the owner was so friendly I did not want him to be offended but I would definitely come here again and just order something else. The sangria was to die for. I don’t like sangria but I could drink this stuff all day!

Food was good but I’d never recommend this place based on service and other items. Trying to make a reservation via phone wasn’t pleasant. Even with a reservation, we had to wait… Got bread(which was cold) and no olive oil or butter(well, we did, but 15 minutes later) Beer options =1. And it was $ 11, come on! Portion was super small… Water was gross. Bottles were from 2014 so they must re-use them, so gross!!!

What a gem in Hells Kitchen, great food and atmosphere. Isaac the owner is priceless and a great hostess during the entire meal process. A must have is the squid appetizer, lobster ravioli and pasta with seafood(spicy) all pasta is made fresh on site.

A co-worker and I ate here for dinner one night on a business trip. We wanted to eat some comfort food near our hotel and alas– this was around the corner. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great. The owner was loud, boisterous, and very funny– he was going table to table making jokes and going on and on about how delicious every menu item was. I had the chicken fettucine alfredo and my friend had the chicken parm. We agreed– both were spectacular. The only off-putting thing was the smell in the restaurant. It looked like every table had a candle on it– each with a different scent. Typically, you don’t see scented candles in restaurants, but when you have all different kind of smells mingling in one room– it is not pleasant. My friend and I were having major allergies and it really hindered what would have been an otherwise perfect experience.

Though I loved the décor, I will not be returning because neither the food nor the service was great. Food: I got the squid ink linguini, which I didn’t love. The bread was also cold, and the dipping oil was not tasty. Service: When we entered, there were only one couple and one larger party. Yet, they did not notice us for a while. Once noticed, the server kindly took my umbrella, which I later had to search for because it was tossed on the floor(rather than placed in the umbrella bucket with others’). The food took time to come out, and I felt like the server had forgotten about us when we asked for the check.

I loved my black ink squid pasta. It doesn’t look appetizing but it sure was good. I loved how once you entered the restaurant it felt very cozy and like I was Italy. Many of the restaurants in Italy, when I went, are designed very much like this place. Also the owner is a hoot! He makes you feel very welcomed.

Isac, this guys is the best, the restaurant is conveniently located around the street from the hotel I was staying in. The inside and outside décor of the restaurant is extravagant and traditional at the same time, I absolutely loved it. The food is good, authentic Italian/Spanish dishes, the sangria was delicious and the owner and host is unique and just makes you feel so welcome, even gave me complementary«Vino Santo» as he calls it and ice cream. He also singed for us, he has a good voice and an awesome personality. Will be back to this place for sure when I return to NYC.

We ate here for the 3rd time tonight and it was as good as we remembered from our first visits 3 years ago. Small place with a friendly staff. We had the buffalo mozzarella apetizer, chicken parmesan, capellini with shrimp, and sangria. We ate early since we were trying to make it to a show but we enjoyed having the place to ourselves.

Ooooohhhh so yummy!!! On our last evening in NYC(this time around), we decided to try this spot out, conveniently right around the corner from our hotel. Delightful!!! The décor and music set the tone to transport ourselves to a kitschy, albeit narrow, trattoria anywhere in Italy. Or Spain! The owner, whose Elvis hair and warm personality is simply adorable, greeted and seated us right away, and offered us a variety of specials. Our hearts were set from the internet research I’d done, so we ordered and munched on yummy bread. My fiancé’s chicken Parmesan was incredible! Homemade pasta, fresh and perfectly cooked, with a sizable chicken breast«parmed» to perfection! He even«licked» the plate off with bread, as our Italian ancestors would! My seafood risotto was chock full of on-the-shell mussels and mini scallops, shrimp and sliced squid. Every bite had delicious seafood goodness and the light tomato sauce was spot on fantastic! This became an instant classic, all thumbs up!!!

Stopped in for lunch on a whim cause we were walking by. It was relatively empty– only one other table. Loved the owner and his spunky Elvia ‘do. Used to be an Elvis impersonator! Liz had the tortellini di lanona and I had spaghetti carbonara. Both delicious! Sangria was also amazing. Would definitely come back. Charming atmosphere and ambiance and awesome personality from the owner. Yum!

It was unforgettable night at this place. Owner Isacco he was serving for everyone and singing beautiful. Love it. We got complimentary sangrias. It was most delicious and tasty sangria ever in my life. I can’t say anything about my food. It was amazing. Dessert — OMG. Looks and tastes amazing. From the entrance you will forget you are not in NY anymore. It’ was different atmosphere which makes you relax. I went there with my two friends and we all had wonderful night at Isacco’s restaurant. Thank you for wonderful time Isacco :) I’ll definitely be back to this place, for sure.

There may be «better» Italian restaurants in NYC food-wise, but you won’t find a better dining experience than this. Took my gf here for her birthday, and was greeted by Issaco. I saw on these reviews that the sangria was excellent, so I ordered a pitcher of it, and it was by far the best sangria either of us have ever tasted. I came here because a friend recommended it and I was glad we went. It’s one of those places you would never even know about unless it was recommended. Issaco is a really funny guy who will do anything for his guests. I for one appreciate sarcasm and wit and he had both of those, really just a fun guy to interact with. I ordered the chicken parm, which was absolutely fantastic. She got the chicken carbonara which was also very very good. Issaco then brought us a dessert wine and dessert on the house for it being her birthday. Since Issaco is an ex-elvis impersonator, he even sang a little elvis and an opera-themed happy birthday song. Really just hilarious and we both were cracking up. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in NYC and looking for a fun dining experience with great food at a reasonable price

KenScale: 8.0÷10 I’ve recently had one of the wackiest dining experiences in the city. A restaurant headed by a flamboyant owner from Spain who used to impersonate Elvis in his early days and who would totally ignore the menu and start serving whatever he feels like at whatever price he sets(including mean sangria consisting solely of brandy and wine). While I don’t pretend to be a snob(I could care less about a restaurant’s environment as long as the food is good), but the place felt like a joke when my friends brought me here for a year-end dinner. To my huge surprise, however, the food was actually quite delicious. The food at this restaurant is a mix of Italian and Spanish cuisine. Here, don’t even think about browsing the menu. The owner Isacco asks regulars(a couple of my friends have quickly become one) what they want and brings off-menu items that probably taste better than what’s on the menu. I enjoyed the savory and crunchy shrimp in garlic, although the octopus turned out to be a little too salty. Next came an assortment of jamon iberico that was definitely better than the average ones in a typical Spanish joint, with great texture of the meat that made it a perfect dish to nibble with sangria on the side. I was also a fan of the Chilean sea bass that had very balanced flavor, and the two pasta dishes that I tried(seafood linguini that came with lobster and an assortment of ravioli that came in different varieties from pesto to veal) were also outstanding. For dessert, tartufo ice cream, tiramisu and chocolate cream were all solid dishes to end the lavishness of the dinner. As noted above, the atmosphere of the restaurant can get out of control, with TV featuring Italian concerts on and the owner constantly stopping by to make jokes and refill the sangria without even being asked to do so. I was definitely getting tired by the end of the meal, but if you can bear with those elements, the food at Trattoria Casa Di Isacco can be rewarding.
