For me, the whole experience of getting coffee is just as important as the coffee served in the establishment. I have tried over and over again to like this place, but sadly it always comes down to the attitude of the staff in there. I think they must have all trained at the same place. In general, staff are unfriendly, pretty unresponsive and slow to provide great service. Either they themselves are yawning or texting on their phones and the last time I asked about gluten free pastries, it seemed a real effort to get a helpful response as to what was offered. What I did end up buying from the cabinet was days old; dry and pretty inedible. From now on I’m just going to walk the slightly extra distance to La Colombe on Lafayette where the coffee in my opinion is much better, and additionally the service much more professional; an all round more pleasurable experience.

The service here is a paradox… — Excruciatingly slow to make drinks despite it being not that busy when I was there. — Pretty cranky staff. — No wifi – and when I politely asked if there was, I was told«WEDON’T DOWIFIHERE» with a look that said«YOUARE A F***INGIDIOTFOREVENTHINKINGYOUCOULDASKMETHAT.» And yet, the space aggressively pushes the tipping – jars at both the register and over where the espresso drinks and food come out, as well as the new process where the iPad system asks you what you’d like to tip before signing for your credit purchase. My experience this morning did not leave me feeling very generous. I understand that baristas are regularly underpaid and depend on their tips to make ends meet but the dynamic over here at the Bowery Think Coffee makes the customers out to be both the problem and the solution. And it’s not a great way to start the day.

While the latte is delicious, the girl behind the counter just took 15 minutes to make an iced latte and I am the only person waiting

Incredibly tacky to almost force people to tip by turning the screen around with the display for a «tip» and a signature…(Eye roll) stupid hipster trend making tipping required for pouring a cup of coffee. Especially when your charging $ 5 for a small cup. Coffee is fine, hence the two stars… Although it took ten minutes to make. Literally incompetence at its best in this barista, glad I tipped them lol

They have a good ice coffee. That goes well with milk. They also have a lot of pastries but they need some healthy options. Some fruits and yogurts would be nice

We spend a pretty penny here each year because we live around the corner, and I can’t imagine my life without Think Coffee Bowery because it’s so convenient for us – so that alone means that I should start off with 3 stars. But I can’t give the place five stars either. First, they’re often condescending if you order anything decaf. Which annoys me. Please accept different people with different constitutions; not everyone has to be the same to be cool! Second, the seating is not comfortable. My body starts aching after a while when I sit there with a coffee trying to read a book. It feels forced and I always end up just going home. I really appreciate their early hours of operation, and I won’t stop going there because in the early mornings, it’s the only place open. The coffee is pretty good, I wish the prices were a little more moderate but I do like that prices include tax, and I really appreciate the environmentally-friendly cups and lids. Now if only the staff could be a little more cheerful and friendly instead of being so cool.

coffee isn’t bad. Barista is always insanely slow. Every time I go in, there are only a few people waiting but I have to wait 10 – 15 mins for my coffee. Not the end of the world but in a city with so many options, I won’t be going back.

What does one have to do to get a bagel here?

This wasn’t as big or had as much amenities as the one on Mercer. It’s a quarter of the size of that one, and has no wi-fi. The lady who works the register looks like she doesn’t want to be there, like she’s mad at something or someone. The tea I ordered was piping hot, even though I specifically asked for it to not be too hot. The vibe and atmosphere was nice, but it was a bit depressing being inside here, so I will not be returning to this Think Coffee.

I’m a little bit disappointed by this place. Food and coffee are good that I can’t complain. But it’s more expansive than the others coffee shop for no reasons and the service was horrible. The lady behind the counter always looks upset. I know I shouldn’t be expecting much from a coffee shop chain but honestly Starbucks makes a better job than those guys

Whewwww! Who knew that it would be extremely hard to find a coffee shop in SoHo with a decent(not large) sized seating area? What does one do at coffee shops anyway, other than to sit down and chat up people they are meeting? My friends and I were in SoHo and wanted to find a coffee shop to sit down, grab some munchies and drink a warm bevvie to warm up. I didn’t realize that this was going to turn into a mission. We stopped by at Gasoline Alley Coffee, La Colombe and a few other spots, only to find limited(to no) seating and a long wait to order coffee. UNTIL… we stopped in to Think Coffee. This place had a decent sized are(I guess, large for SoHo) and less than a 3 minute wait to order. Mission accomplished! The seating area has a few tables and chairs mostly all wooden. It can get a bit congested depending on the day but it was the best option out of the rest of the coffee shops we stopped by at. I ordered some healthy bar which was alright but too sweet for my taste. My friends loved their coffees(which is what I should have gotten instead).

Def a place to try if you are a coffee lover. I am a standard drip pour guy so espressos and the likes are lost on me. Based on my friend this was a good choice for a pickmeup. There is just one guy making all the coffee concoctions so don’t expect speedy production. There is a nice outside area you can enjoy your caffeine and watch the word, although there doesn’t seem to be anyone cleaning up so it is a bit of a DIY arrangement. Clean loos and interesting graffiti around for light reading.

Location: fantastic. Staff: snarky, think record store in High Fidelity. Coffee: cold. Too much effort to heat the cups.

One star experience… Took the drip coffee, tasted like a highly diluted homeopathic coffee … Asked to change for something more flavorful like an espresso and got a simple no for an answer. Simple math: poor coffee and poorer customer service.

This is right around the corner from where i work. In the winter is a good place for a quick cup of coffee. In the summer they don’t know how to make an iced anything. The ratio of ice to chai in an iced chai would be comical if I weren’t getting ripped off. There’s so much ice it was hard to put a straw in. Iced lattes also have way too much ice.

This café looks perfect and cozy but it has it’s flaws. The AC is always cranked up, feels like Antarctica. The coffee tastes bland to me, nothing special. It’s great that there’s an outdoor area but the seats feel awkward because the street is slanted. But I will continue to come to this café just to have somewhere to sit and get work done. Plus sides: aesthetically pleasing, nice employees, good music, celeb sightings, ppl watching.

Good Coffee. Good Price. Good Staff. Donation of after-tax profits is sexy. Coffee Beans are roasted by Think. Tea by Mighty Leaf. My first Spanish Coffee that contains a sweetened condensed milk. Not too sweet. Condensed Milk invokes Vietnamese Coffee.

My search for the best Spanish Latte in NYC is finally over. $ 5.75 for a large iced Spanish latte was worth every cent. The perfect balance of espresso and condensed milk. If calories were no object, I would have one every single day.
