THEWORSTEVER !! EXPENSIVEANDBAD !!! I went at Saxon and Parole today with my husband for a dinner and we order the Sea Food Tower for appetizer and the steak special for 2. The Sea Food Tower($ 46.00) was okay. Small and not so taste. After waiting over 45 minutes we got our Steak. It came cold, very chewy and the price: $ 140 !!! So we told our waitress and she took back. After few minutes she came back with the same steak. Yes. Same one !!! They just warm it up and they add so much butter that we couldn’t see the meat anymore ! After complained again the waitress came with the manager Jen and she took back. And we decided to leave. In the end we left very hungry and they didn’t take anything out from the bill(only steak of course) but no discount or anything. Never going back there. Music too loud. Don’t go there. Go to Strip House !

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at Saxon + Parole and they did a beautiful job. We were in great hands throughout the entire planning process and the attention to detail, service, and food was flawless the day of. This was their first brunch wedding and they were so flexible and supportive doing something out of the box. The whole event was well-priced which was a huge bonus for Manhattan. The only reason this is not five stars is that our [fabulous] event coordinator is no longer at the restaurant and S+P did not update us that our main point of contact had moved on, leading to some confusion with final paperwork.

Above and beyond my expectations. If you are looking for a place with a great NYC atmosphere, that’s the place. Food and drinks were spectacular!!! Highly recommend on the octopus, the duck and the cauliflower truffles soup!!!

I recently went here on a Sunday for brunch and I have to say I really love this place! The main attraction for me was the sign outside that said they had a make your own bloody mary bar and being a lover of bloody marys this totally lured me in. We were greeted by a very nice hostess who sat us right away. We didn’t love the table she first gave us and she quickly moved us to a more favorable location away from the crowd. The menu was awesome and they provide a variety of options that are different from your usual brunch items. I ordered eggs and I loved that they accommodated and made them to your liking. I also loved that they came with a large portion of salad and two large slices of toast and some creamed spinach. Delight and delicious! So my hype for the bloody mary bar was short lived because my laziness got in my way and I just ordered their basic bloody mary. I have to say it looks pretty but I wasn’t entirely impressed. I should have made my own! They also have a tasty assortment of breakfast breads that included the most amazing scone I have ever had a mouthwatering corn bread. This place would be 5 star quality except the service wasn’t the best. The hostess sat us in a quiet corner in the back room but failed to inform us that they had a very large party coming in for a birthday brunch. The quiet corner wasn’t so quiet anymore. Also they didn’t really come over too often to check on us and it was hard getting their attention. We should have just sat at the bar! I will def come back and look forward to a fun brunch making my own bloody and sitting by the bar! Oh also, completely a side note but the downstairs area where the bathrooms are is so gorgeous! They have a pretty little stone garden with a pretty fountain in the middle and clean bathrooms that are very cool looking too. I know, totally random! lol

I had a great dinner with my friend over there. The food was delicious, the cocktails surprising and the service more than exceptional! I really recommend this restaurant and bar. It was above my expectations. Thank you all you made my evening and I will come back for sure

This place is delicious! Food quality was awesome and pairings were perfect. They have a few different types of foods to suit any taste. I’ve ordered fish and beef dishes and have been pleasantly surprised by both. They have a great drink selection as well. It’s expensive so make sure you know what you’re getting into so you can order what you want and enjoy your meal. They do reservations and we were pleased to get one last minute. Always a plus in the city.

Came here for brunch and was unimpressed. Food is overpriced for the quantity and quality that you get. The DIY Bloody Mary was a good idea in theory, but not good in execution — the tomato base provided was just watery and flavorless. Also, it wasn’t too packed the day we went and yet the wait for our food was still quite long.

Have the duck!!! It’s deliciously tender. I sat downstairs in the wine room where the atmosphere was calm and romantic. Really enjoyed the wine and meal. It is a little pricey but worth it in my eyes.

Overpriced drinks and food. How much salt do you want? Order half, because everything is too salty. Waaaay too salty. Flavored don’t sit well to create a beautiful mélange. Instead, things stand out weirdly and create questionable textured and balances. Drinks are good, but too sweet. Atmosphere is a little too dark for my liking Do you want your food soon? Too bad, because it’ll probably take some time. Slow service. The servers are beautiful, though. So there’s that. And they take reservations. And they seem kind of cool in terms of vibe. Oysters were not great.

I will resist the urge to write about the pricing vs. the portion size, and focus on food quality here. The décor was the new style, where everything looks like a recently converted factory. Nice decorations in a poorly renovated building. Very now. I came here to meet a college friend, and we had a very nice time. The food we got was all delicious. I got«The Burger» and it was cooked perfectly. It came with wonderful french fries. I tasted a few of the drinks my friends got, but didn’t get any myself. They seemed to like their meals as well. We ended the night with dessert. I got the cheesecake. Very tasty, but also very small. My friends got the smores and were raving. We were not rushed out the door when we were finished, which was nice, and they were on top of the water glass all night. I don’t know if I would come back, though. I felt pretty out-of-place. Most of the dishes seemed like they were written in some foreign language. What the heck is this stuff?

This is an absolutely phenomenal restaurant. The cocktails were great(the fig pisco sour is a winner), the wine list is fabulous and the specials were very unexpected(in a good way). We started off with the bone marrow, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. My wife went with the burger cooked up to a perfect medium rare and I went with the pork chop with a side of the brussel sprouts. The burger is definitely a top 10 in NYC style burger. The fries left a bit to be desired though. The pork chop was good but far from the best that I’ve ever had. The bus boy was a bit clumsy and dropped a drink on me but I didn’t make a huge deal of it. He also almost dropped my pork chop on me too, but saved it *phew*. The secret entrance in to their lounge is a cool bonus!

My review is a bit different because I went for the Thanksgiving pre fixe meal, but I am sure most of my observations would apply to normal meal service. We had to wait a few minutes for our table but we happily sat at the bar and ordered a cocktail. I had the celery gimlet which was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. The presentation was charming as well! The décor is modern with a rustic flare and perfect lighting. It also felt very spacious which is an NYC luxury. The service was excellent — I think we had 5 different people checking in on us, running plates, bussing the table, etc. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The food was amazing! The butternut squash salad was creative and surprising. The turkey was moist and flavorful. The chorizo cornbread stuffing was by far my favorite. My mother vowed to never cook again and wants to go back next year. I look forward to trying normal dinner service soon!

The DIY bloody mary bar prompted me to make a birthday reservation here for my boyfriend. On the weekends you can make reservations until 11:45 so we went ahead and made ours as late as possible. When we arrived the place was already full, which was a good sign. We were seated promptly and soon were headed off to the bloody bar(I ordered a beer, but am a sucker for beautiful brunch beverages). The base of the drink was unique in a good way — the juice was fresh and light. I ordered the restaurants version of an eggs benedict, surryano ham and creamed spinach over parmesan cakes. It doesn’t look like much food, but I was extremely satisfied by how rich it was. My companion ordered the BLAT and was also very content. It was expensive — 3 dollars to add an egg… — but the size of a small cutting board. Plus I knew I was coming here to spend money, so it wasn’t shocking. Saxon + Parole is a lovely brunch pick and I would return.

Stopped by this place after shopping at Soho. My boyfriend and I ordered two appetizers, bone marrow and truffle mushroom spread(?). Bone marrow dish is one of the best bone marrow dish I’ve ever had. They give it to you with bread and the combination of warm chewy bread and savory bone marrow is to die for. Truffle mushroom spread(forgot the exact name) is another fabulous dish you should have. I’ve never tasted anything like this before. If you love truffle oil and mushroom this is a must have. I wish they gave softer bread instead. For the main course we got pork chop and lobster ravioli. Pork chop was cooked perfectly and eating with baked apple made it extra good. For ravioli, I couldnt handle after eating two meals of greasy food. It was just too much for me because the cream and cheese are really heavy in the dish. Overall HIGHLY recommend this place! If you’re in soho or wanna take someone on a fancy date, this is definitely a place to go.

I am a huge fan of the restaurants and bars that are part of this group– Genuine Superette & Liquorette, Madam Geneva(which is literally, just around the corner) and Public, just to name a few so it was only a matter of time before I came here as well. The ambiance is beautiful– the lighting is warm and inviting. You are also immediately greeted when you walk in which is very nice. There are multiple dining rooms with comfortable seating and has a spacious bar area. Make sure everyone in your party is there together because you can only be seated if your whole part has arrived. I had a drink at the bar while I was waiting for my two friends– the bartender was very pleasant and made good suggestions to try. For dinner, I had the dry aged burger with bacon and a fried egg on top– it was everything I hoped it would be and more! We were all pretty pleased with our dishes, Stephen polished his chicken and Scott devoured his salmon. There was nothing left of our cheese platter as well. Although the food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing– our little trio wasn’t that pleased about the service. Our server was very polite– however everything just took forever and we had to follow up with him… and we were starving and tired by the time everything came. Overall, I want to say 3.5. I will probably come again because I really want to like this place more. It has all the things I love when I go out, so maybe I was just there on an off night.

Nice and classy place which manages to mix authenticity and modernity at the same time. The ambiance is very convivial although a bit too loud. The food was subtil yet slightly pricey. We had a Burrata for starters which was just amazing. It came with truffle oil and truffle and had a perfect melting texture. They also serve Bone Marrow which by itself can be a good reason to come here for those who like it. As for the meat, we tried the burger and the Hanger steak and they were both very good(especially the steak which was very tender). We would recommend this place for a nice dinner with friends.

Booked a birthday dinner for my girlfriend here last week after reading the rave reviews. We all left underwhelmed! Our party was seated in the more intimate downstairs area. Service was horrible from the beginning. It took about 20 minutes before we were able to find our waiter to put our order in. Since there were 6 of us, we were able to sample a large portion of the menu — oysters, tea-smoked mussels, mushroom mousse pot, grilled octopus&calamari and the roasted bone marrow to start. Oysters and mussels were teeny tiny and way expensive for what it was. Everything else was excellent, especially the mushroom mousse and bone marrow. Explosive mushroom flavor in the mousse. It was perfect atop the crisp crostini. The bone marrow was fatty and flavorful atop toasty warm bread. Both were solid. For sides, we ordered crispy brussel sprouts and fries. Fries were nothing special but the brussel sprouts were UNREAL. Drenched in a chili caramel sauce, these were some of the best brussel sprouts I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. No one at the table was satisfied with their entrée! The scallops I ordered were so small and practically raw. It was also served about 5 minutes after everyone else received their entrees. The girls ordered the pork chop, ricotta gnudi, spiced duck and angus burger. No one was impressed. Boo. Desserts did not fare any better. The cinnamon donuts were quite a sight but had the texture of chewy bread. What? The sticky toffee pudding was pretty bad too. The caramel sauce was sickeningly sweet and overpowering. 3 stars for the lovely ambiance and those damn good brussel sprouts, the only reason I’d make a return trip.

Rustic. Unique. With a character on it’s own. I really did like this place. Somewhat antique, somewhat whimsy, a bit of class, a bit of charm. Perfect combination, don’t you think? Bar side is huge — and it does get rather loud sometimes. But dining room to the right is spacious and quiet. The décor is chic. Service is on point. And food is great. They do have some interesting drinks choices. Pisco punch was very well made. However, it is a tinyyyyyyy cup with lots and lots of ice. All you get is one little sip, and it is gone. Ok, this is my only complain here… Beets & burrata salad was fresh, well-seasoned, and beets were soft and sweet. They offer variety of fresh oysters — both East and West coast, and while they not at happy hour prices, they are fresh, and very, very good. The one thing is must try here is a burger. Presented on long board, with all the fixings and buns in front of you, it is done well, to order, and it is one of the best burgers in the city. Oh, and of course — Crème brûlée is yummmmmmmmm! I’ll be back. You should, too! (Stroll around the block before or after your meal for awesome shopping finds, too!)

I have been to this place at least 6 times this summer. Mainly because I received a three month«cocktail of the month» gift for my birthday. It’s a great deal, even if you have to pay for it yourself($ 225.00). I renewed yesterday. They keep you bottle in a large cabinet behind the bar with your name on it, see picture. You get about 8 – 9 drinks per bottle, less than $ 10.00 each. They pick the cocktail, so far we have really liked all but one. The food here is great. We have been here for brunch and dinner. Fantastic hamburgers. Lots of other choices, two kinds of steak and a pretty good pork chop.

I was introduced to this eatery by a friend/business associate — we actually were in the need of a location in NYC to record a Podcast and the Chef made special accommodations for us. Décor is very cool and rustic. We were given a sampling lunch specially prepared by the Assistant Chef. All I can say is wow wow wow wow!!! I am still in awe from the most amazing Burger, topped with an egg on a homemade brioche bun. I actually felt guilty leaving some of it behind and have had nightmares thinking about it. I am 1000000000% going back for that burger, even though I just started a diet, this is my #1 listed place for my ‘cheat day’
