The BEST whole wheat crust pizza that delivers to me in SoHo(via seamlessweb thank you). Cheap, yummy, a whole personal pie can last me 2 days(dinner and then leftovers frozen until next pizza night for me). Real grilled chicken as a topping rather than the unhealthy breaded stuff you usually get. Quick delivery. LOVE!!!

This place needs a recent review because this locale is no longer open(as of Fall 2008 when I last ventured back to NY for a slice lof this pizza). However, do not fret! They still serve this pizza right down the street in the café that has a little red awning(can’t remember the name). Just go and you’ll find it though. Now, I can honestly say, with all my heart, that the FRESHMOZZERELA slice is THEBEST pizza in ALL of NYC.(And I lived there my whole life before moving to DC which means I’ve had a lot of different pizza). However, I only gave this place a 4 because in the new locale, it’s just not quite the same. Also, the service wasn’t great and I had to wait a little bit for my second slice — not good for this pizza-fanatic. So anyway — the fresh mozzerela slice is chock full of amazing cheese, tasty sauce, and the perfect ‘thin crust’(not crispy but not necessarily fold-worthy either). It’s massive and expensive but worthy every penny. I really wonder why the old locale closed? … It used to be RIGHT next door to Off the Wagon. They most certainly weren’t slow on business …

Did the Pizzeria close?! I live on Macdougal and walked by last night — it seems like it closed overnight! Hopefully it just moved — the pizza is really good!

I guess I was lucky to find a such a great pizza place just walking around the area. My husband I were walking for hours and we were hungry. I was cranky and he thought he needs to feed me quickly otherwise someone bad is going to happen! He said let’s just go there and have a slice of pizza. We didn’t see anyone in the place(it was around 5:30pm) and I wasn’t so sure about the place. BUT after a bite of pizza, we looked at each other and said«wow, this is really good!» Their crust was just perfect and it was a yummy surprise! The guys at the store didn’t look so enthusiastic but good pizza! If I live near there, I’ll go there at least once a week.

Pretty darn good! The guy I’m hanging out with and I searched Seamless Web and The Pizzeria was listed – we just called directly rather than go through the whole bother of registering. Staff was very friendly(on the phone). Delivery was within a half hour and I was extremely impressed by the pizza’s temperature! It was HOT! When was the last time you could feel how warm the pizza was through the box? Yes, it was THAT hot! You should know that this was the third pizza I had yesterday… Nick’s, then Mariella’s, and then The Pizzeria… and I loved it! The Pizzeria’s pie is more like Mariella’s than Nick’s; The Pizzeria and Mariella’s would be considered NY pizza, while I consider Nick’s to be «gourmet» a la Patsy’s, Lombardi’s, and Grimaldi’s. While I did order easy on the cheese, I’d say it was an equal cheese to sauce ratio which leads me to believe that The Pizzeria is heavy on the cheese. And a good sauce it was! Delivery included plates and spices – parmigian cheese, oregano, and hot pepper. I’ve not seen The Pizzeria but am now a bit hesitant to order after reading some of the comments here. Perhaps I’ll go by one day so I can know what I’m getting into if I consider ordering again. The Pizzeria delivers until 3 am Sunday through Thursday, and 5 am on Friday and Saturday.

I would have given this place four stars, but I felt sick to my stomach for a short while after I had a slice of mushroom and olive. I love the fact they have wheat crust and that it’s thin. The prices were indeed cheap. I thought it was a quaint little shop and I loved the old-world appeal to it with the brick walls and the counter wall space decorated with old wine box lids. The place is a little dingy, but nothing wretched. The bathroom smelled like air freshener, but I felt semi-claustrophobic in it and didn’t want to touch much of anything. It certainly isn’t the worst bathroom I’ve seen, but it could definitely be revamped.

I stopped there last night for a slice of pizza at around 2am(kudos for staying open this late on a Tuesday night). I had a slice of the fresh mozzarella($ 2.50), which had just been made and was quite tasty(I particularly enjoyed the crunchy crust). It definitely hit the spot, so I’ll definitely stop by again.

I went there last Saturday night, I mean, Sunday early hours because my friend and I were hungry after partying. We had a good deal: a medium pizza(8 slices) with extra cheese and 3 toppings for $ 10.00. The service was quick and the pie was good(we chose our favorite toppings) but the place was very very messy. Okay…It was crowded when we arrived and they had just 2 employees working at that time… The point is that after the crowd left without cleaning after themselves(not so nice) the employees also did not care about the dirty tables. It was because they do not really care about the«late night» patrons… Or just they do not care at all??? The messiest place ever!

While this restaurant name’s noun selection is spot on, I’d argue the use of ‘the’ as the preceding article is a misstep. You better kick ass to appropriate ‘the’. I’d suggest ‘A’ as in «A Pizzeria». It maintains the straightforwardness of the current title without the presumptuousness that there is no other pizzeria or that this place exceeds all of the other purveyors. B/c this place is just an average slice — a little too much cheese for my taste but perfectly fine for the ‘extra cheese’ type. Prices are cheap — $ 4.50 for 2 slices and a small soda(at least during lunch) is a bargain. Aside from the questionable article selection, solid choice for the area but I prefer Ben’s…

Same here, when I went to NYU this was the only place I ate pizza. Super thin crust, all the fixin’s on the side, I felt they had really good pizza, if not a great variety. And they had a bathroom, which is good. The only problem is weekend nights the amount of annoying people is really too much, its better to walk and eat.

I ate at this place several times a week when I went to NYU — it’s nothing overwhelmingly spectacular, as I realized on my return visit recently, but it was the best pizza I managed to find in the realm of Washington Square Park — not that I kept searching after having their delicious chicken and ricotta slices.
