I came here after my civil wedding with a group of 15 people, and my experience was awesome right from the start. When I made the reservation over the phone, I didn’t have an exact time or number of people since you can’t make an appointment for a civil wedding at the Marriage Bureau. They were totally fine with that, which made me feel a lot more relaxed. They also allowed us to order straight from the menu instead of choosing one of their party menus. When we got there, Annette welcomed us very warmly and personally. We were seated at a semi-private part of the dining area. She asked the bride and groom for our names and addressed us directly for the rest of the meal. We had a few people leaving early and a few people coming late, but she handled our somewhat difficult group with ease. All of our mains came out at the same time, and service was great throughout the meal. The food itself was very good. My favorites were the calamari and the lamb shank. Reading about the history of this restaurant on the menu was an added bonus-it was a great conversation topic between our two newly joined families! Thank you for a lovely, stress-free meal.

I didn’t expect a whole lot, so I was surprised by how good the food was. I had a turkey burger. It was fresh ground and juicy. The fries were excellent and not overly greasy. Service was good, but a bit slow.

Great neighborhood staple. Good, honest people, serving good food, who make an effort to know your name and are very accommodating. My late husband and I loved this place and went often, I now come with friends and they love it too. They took a beating from Sandy and came back strong, my kinda people. Dermot(hope I’m spelling his name correct) and Annette rock!(Carolyn XO!)

Stopped in for lunch on quiet Tuesday afternoon. Polite friendly welcome, great service, water glass always full. Food delivered quickly and accurately. Anticipated an overpriced under-delivered lunch. Received a high-quality lunch at exceptional value. Good atmosphere, well-trained staff, Great value. Definitely recommend lunch. I would like to revisit for happy hour or dinner.

food wasn’t that great… I ordered a beet salad only to have to search through a mound of lettuce to find some beets. ordered a pisco sour only to get pisco poured into a sours pre-mix; pretty bad. switched over to a wine, but it was like vinegar. ate fish and chips for dinner; it was ok. I had higher hopes from this place; it is beautiful from the outside and pretty chill place to enjoy some food.

Something of a find – I was really skeptical because of the touristy vibe, but Paris Café offers good service, a drink list, and outdoor seating my bud and I really appreciated on the gorgeous day we were out here(after a run). I didn’t have the pleasure of dining here(my nephew was cooking for us that day), but it seemed like an inviting enough joint.

Love the food, location, and service! I have ate here on two separate trips to NYC and would come back again! Lots of menu options that are reasonable, and always tasty!

Best part about the restaurant was the no-wait on a Friday night. Given its inconvenient location and low volume, it’s possible that the restaurant staff was more attentive than usual. Regarding the food, the boyfriend ordered fish and chips and I ordered a burger. We also ordered the calamari to start. The fish and chips were okay — not the best, not bad. Fries certainly were not worth the calories. The burger was blah. I’ve had better at in and out. The meat didn’t taste fresh and the cheese was hard. And the bread didn’t look or taste fresh. Calamari was just okay. Plenty of space and the staff was nice so overall it was fine.

I’ve walked by this place a few times and we finally had brunch here. Cons: it gets REALLY loud, both with people and music. Pros: servers are super friendly. Food is very solid with great prices. I had the portobello sandwich. It was great. I could only eat half because it’s so big. The biscuits with jam are really good too. It’s cool that the restaurant has been around for so long! Definitely happy to find this place and will be going back!

I was staying in the seaport area and this was one of the few places open late night for food. This place has a nice peaceful ambiance in comparison to a lot of places in Manhattan and the staff is nice. We ordered the lamb lollipops and mozzarella sticks alongside two glasses of wine. We used the buy one get one free check in offer. Overall I would give this place 3 stars simply because everything was average. The lamb lollipops were alright. I wasn’t really a fan of the flavor or quality of the meat. I didn’t try much on the menu so it’s hard to give the food a solid rating but it’s a nice option for late night drinks and food if you’re staying in the area.

Originally wanted to go to the fish market, half a block away, but it wasn’t open unfortunately. We opted to check this place out on the corner. Server originally wanted to seat us in between two families with kids, but was kind enough to bring us to a more cozy place in the back when he saw we felt uncomfortable sitting there. All brunch options come with an alcoholic beverage. I got the Bloody Mary, which was good, seemed a bit watered down though. Lobster Mac and cheese was different than I expected, they used shells instead of macaroni as the pasta. You can tell from the picture that it’s different from the traditional Mac and cheese. Overall seemed a bit bland but consistency and texture of the food was pretty good otherwise. They allow you to get omelettes with two toppings — I got the chorizo and spinach ingredients, but they also have your traditional sausage, ham, onions, mushroom, and different cheeses(note these also count as one ingredient). You can pay $ 2.50 more for an additional topping though. I really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere here. It was very relaxing with a friendly staff. Would come back again if I’m in the area!

Fun«neighborhoody» type place hidden away a few blocks from the South Street Seaport(or what’s left of it) There is a large bar area in the front and a sit down section for dining in the back. The place was nicely crowded(i.e. not Times Square crowded but not eerily quiet either) in both sections. The tables in the back range in size from 2 to some booths that actually seated 8. They have television monitors scattered throughout so you can catch the game while you dine. Food was very good. A lot of standard brunch food but done with a French twist. I had brioche french toast which I am happy to say was not doused with powdered sugar. My wife had fish and chips and the chips were freshly made. With the breakfast brunch items you get a free drink(standards.check the menu) On the back of the menu they had a lot of other items to choose from which were more of the lunch and dinner variety which is nice if you do not want to be stuck with same olé same olé… Service was friendly and relatively quick(considering how crowded they were) It’s not the easiest place to find, but do your best with your cell phones and check it out.

This is one of my favorite places in South Street Seaport. The food is always fantastic, as are the atmosphere and staff. Its off the main strip, so its hidden from the tourist crowd, which is wonderful. I highly recommend coming here! Also, it had a great history to it too if you’re into hidden New York haunts.

We loved the mussels! So yummy and just right after a long day of walking the town and bridge. The light cream sauce had pops of tomato and surprising burst of herbs. Perfect!

Love this little gem of a restaurant. I loved coming here for the buffalo chicken salad and nachos. Once the hurricane hit this place was shut down for a long time. I went back recently and tried the lobster mac and cheese and it was pretty good. I didn’t see the salad on the menu so I was sad to see that go. Definitely a cute little spot.

Not much to say since my bf and I just stopped by to grab a drink after dinner. It was a low key place, but the bartenders were courteous and friendly. The price for our beers were $ 8 each, not a bad price for over happy hour prices.

When everything else was packed with hipsters and tourists, this place was an oasis. The outside seating was full, but inside the gorgeous bar was fabulous friendly service, quality cocktails and handcrafted food(no microwaved IQFs here!). Wasn’t thrilled with all the large screen tvs, I felt it detracted from the beauty of the space, but that’s probably just my inner designer talking.

Wow! What a great find just off the South Street Seaport! The menu itself had many different items, but as we waited for our food, every plate that came out of the kitchen looked more delicious than the last. Without seeing either previous to, we started with the traditional calamari, bread and finished with the salmon. the calamari can go either way with people, I prefer crisp and light or «soft”(some may say its undercooked), she prefers more bread and harder(I’d say overcooked), these were on the harder side but very appetizing. I didn’t eat them myself, but the sliders looked like the way to go, another table had nachos and I didn’t even see that on the menu. The salmon(I will put a pic inside) was beautiful. We were ask how we wanted it cooked(as any decent place should) and it was made perfectly, flaky, flavorful. the potatoes were also very well seasoned with the spinach. We had actually expected mixed vegetables, but the spinach was very good. Look to return soon!

I had a business lunch recently at the Paris. The place was still decked out from St. Patty ’ s Day! It was pretty cool if you ask me. For a place called the Paris café, it looks more like a poppin Irish pub! I had a turkey burger with American cheese on a brioche bun. I had no expectations but let me say, that was the softest and fluffiest brioche bun I EVER encountered! Great place.

Let dig in deeper, this place was closed down for long period of time because of hurricane sandy disaster. They were determine to rebuild and bring back The Paris Café back to community. Now many companies would easily located, but they didn’t. They love the community and they wanted to make they return to this location as soon as possible. You see that is dedication in their part. So what are my recommendation: make sure you try one of their signature drinks called the ‘New York Sour’… It honestly hit you hard after the 3rd drink. If you think you can handle your drink, trying walking to point A to B… Yup, tipsy mode… Be careful if you driving home. Anyway, I can automatically give this place 5 stars. They deserve it and I will return real soon with my co workers. Cheers, Wilkie
