In a town full of restaurants, this one is fabulous and stands out. Great pizza, imaginative apps, great service and atmosphere was awesome. Can’t wait to go back!

We stumbled upon this place when we were staying nearby at the Sofitel. It was the first night of our trip and it was the BEST food I had the entire time. The cocktails were great, too. My husband ordered a pizza(which he loved) and I had gnudi. It was absolutely delicious. Even though we were there on a Friday night and there weren’t any tables, we quickly found a seat at the bar. Next time we’re in town we’ll absolutely go back

I don’t normally get spaghetti when I go out. I make my own and I make my own sauce. My son wanted spaghetti, so I ordered it. Man, I was very surprised by the taste! It was awesome. I also ordered a pizza with basil, mozzarella, and tomato. It was great, too. This place is a bit pricey, but the taste is great. Fourteen bucks for spaghetti that, to be honest, wasn’t very big, sucks. However, the taste was good enough for a 5 star.

One word… Awesome! After being snowed in all day we decided to go with Italian. Chose this spot because it wasn’t too far from the hotel and let me tell you that it does not disappoint! We started with appetizers of calamari and the fried mac and cheese balls. Which were both very good the calamari was very light and crisp. We then moved on to the mushroom pizza which again was great. For entrees we went with chef specials of Four meat pasta and branzino(which was to die for). And the fettuccine. All the sauces for the pasta were very light and full of flavor We then moved on to dessert, bread pudding, a cake, and a brownie all of which were delicious. Too finish off the chef came out and talked with us and told us a little family history about the restaurant, offered us a few authentic Italian after meal drinks.

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews, could be the tourists writing since it’s so close to Broadway shows. If you are in a hurry to eat Italian and watch a show, I can understand why you’ve come here. But for a New Yorker who wanted a nice meal with her friends, it was a great disappointment. I didn’t like any of the dishes we ordered(shared family style so we could try a bit of everything), however each dish came to us cold like it’s been sitting on the counter for a while(which is strange since we didn’t wait long). We ordered the lobster fettuccine, lobster wasn’t fresh. A big disappointment there since I’ve had amazing lobster pasta at other establishments. We also had the spaghetti and meatballs, it was just okay but again cold. The fried pumpkin was just that, fried pumpkin(imagine potato wedges). Mushroom pizza was okay, nothing to rave about. And we finished off with the Nutella bread pudding that had a large scoop of butter on top(really confused by that, as it looked like ice cream and would’ve made more sense as ice cream on top!). I would not return, there are many great Italian places in NYC, and unfortunately this wasn’t one of them.

Three words: lamb sausage pizza! I know what you’re thinking, it’s just pizza… trust me on this one, this dish will exceed your expectations. I wasn’t impressed by the kale salad so skip it if you can, there are plenty of other dishes on the menu for your tastebuds to enjoy. We came here with reservations just before heading to Radio City. It’s one of the busier restaurants in the area since it’s close to so many theaters and because the food is so delicious! The restaurant is cozy and dim and was loud but that’s a given considering it was so packed! We let the host know we were early and he tried his best to seat us a tad earlier since we were going to a show after. He even visited our table to make sure we were enjoying our meal after we were seated! Now that’s great service!

We were craving for Italian food after the Aladdin show, and we found this Nino’s 46 is the best Italian restaurant so far compared to the ones we have tried in NYC! We had pizza and linguine with clams, and calamari for appetizer. The food was so tasty and the waiters are so attentive! We highly recommend this place especially for tourists like us new to Manhattan!

We loved our dinner here on Christmas Eve! Nino’s is conveniently located a few minutes walk from Fifth Avenue and all of its holiday window decorations(as well as Rockefeller Center) so we had a great stroll around the city after. I ordered the blue crab and bacon pizza, which was quite delicious. The bacon was not as crispy as I would prefer(the American way), but the softness of the pork went well with the juicy crab meat. The pizza dough was also great — I like my pizzas to have some dough to them so that I can munch on the crust and this one delivered on my carb craving. I would suggest making reservations as the restaurant was quite busy when we visited.

Sat at the bar, had great service, delicious food, awesome beers, and a great time. The branzino is amazing! All the food looked so good. My friend trd the truffle mac and fried chicken and was very happy

Lunch on a weekday was packed. Very very loud. Food was delicious. We had a gluten free bolognese and the sauce was to die for. Also shared a salad with walnuts, apples and vinaigrette, which was very tasty. Mom had ordered the chicken parm with pesto. I stole a bite and it was delicious. Service was ok. Waiter didn’t seem at all happy for some reason.

This is truly the best Italian restaurant around. I never miss an opportunity to visit when I’m in town and love that the chef walks the dining room for the personal touch. Don’t miss this. You’ll never go anywhere else.

Based on Unilocalers came for dinner on Tuesday evening. Made res for 7:15 pm based the Unilocalers recommendations. Place was busy and festive. Real good vibes. The front service and waiters were up to par. The food outstanding. The spaghetti with sausage outstanding. The chef/owner really takes pride in his establishment. He checks his patrons and takes suggestions very seriously. This place is a winner. It’s on west 39 St between 5th and 6th Ave. This is a hidden gem. If ur in the mood for Italian food, or just a really good meal run don’t walk.

Came here on Saturday night. We had a 7:30pm reservation but arrived at 7pm and they sat us immediately. The place was full. It’s a small restaurant. But has a nice cozy feel. We picked this place because we heard it was Celiac friendly. My husband has Celiac disease and eating out can be difficult. The service was very friendly. They even brought my husband a separate plate and gluten free bread. The bread was amazing. I actually liked it better than the regular bread that my daughter and I shared. Btw… this place seems to be family friendly. It’s loud but very dimly lit. Hubby ordered a special. It was like a bolognese sauce with a fried egg on top. With gluten free pasta. My 5 year old and I shared the beet gnudi and the San Marzano mozzarella pizza. Both were extremely tasty. The gnudi was our favorite. It’s like a ravioli with out the pasta. My only food complaint was that the pizza was wet and soggy. But the crust was super thin and I think the sauce just bled through. It did tasty good. Just a little mushy. We’d go here again in a heart beat. Oh…the drinks were good too. I had a rose and hubby a hard cider. Bill was about $ 90(without tip).

I came to Nino’s with s group of 4 on a Friday night before going to see a show at Radio City. We had a 6:45pm reservation and arrived a little early. It was a hard to stand and not be in the way because there was many other diners waiting, and it’s a small area to wait in. The restaurant is small, but accommodated groups of all amounts of people. We were seated a little after 7pm and immediately greeted by our server. He brought us menus, and asked if we wanted sparkling or flat water and also took our orders of cocktails. We ordered two glasses of Pinot noir and a Cosmo, the drinks came quick. For apps we ordered the truffle mac & cheese bites, calamari, and the burrata. MYGAWDDDDD the mac&cheese bites and the burrata were out of this world… delicious. The burrata was the literal best I ever had, they served it with caramelized onions and raspberries which I was skeptical about when I first saw it, after I tasted it I wanted to get a whole other order. As an entrée I got the San marzano tomato personal pie, my sister got the Cacio de Pepe pie and my mom and aunt split the rigatoni and a Caesar salad. All of the food was really good, I think the pie I got was better than the Cacio pie. We didn’t have room for dessert, but they did have a nice dessert selection on the menu. The service was good, and the atmosphere was really nice as well. The owner came around to our table a couple of times to see how we liked everything. I would definitely come, and next time I’ll try the pie with the vodka sauce!

Came in for dinner and what a nice little find. Almost don’t want to give 5 stars to try and keep it on the down low but we had a great dinner. Ambience and décor is modern yet traditional with wood and and metal accents. Cozy yet not too«sardine like» which manhattan restaurants can be sometimes(understandably so). Now the food, mmm pasta was cooked perfectly, I ordered one of the specials which had seafood and sausage in a light sauce with mint. Very tasty and refreshing especially with my glass of Pinot Grigio. We shared the burata appetizer. Served with berries, mint and caramelized onions. I’ve never had that combo before and it was delightful. Desert was a very tasty cake with whip cream. The owner explained to us how he prepared it, he was very nice. We noticed before he introduced himself that he was manning the bar and dropping everyone’s entrees. Kudos for a owner who really takes pride in his restaurant, pays attention to details and isn’t afraid to work on the floor. Only complaint would be that the octopus special was a wee bit on the tiny side for 19 $. Other than that everything was very reasonably priced. Great last dinner in the city!

So pleasantly surprised by this place. Came here because I was looking for an Italian restaurant around midtown and the reviews seemed really good! Even though this place had high reviews it seemed like a hidden gem — there was no line when we visited at 7:30. The hostess was also very accommodating when I changed my reservation close to the time. The décor and ambiance is great. The place is suitable for family, friends or date! It’s also nice for large groups as well(someone celebrated her birthday and another group had 10+ people). There are also candles on the table which is a nice touch for a date. We order a blue crab bacon mascarpone pizza and the fettuccine special with lamb sausage and peas. The pizza blew my mind away. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and I usually don’t like pizza(I’ve been to a few famous joints in NYC and had pizza from Italy). The crab and back were perfect! The crust was so nice(like a really really good piece of bread). Need to get this! Totally recommend! The pasta paled in comparison to the pizza. It was still delicious(I was too blown away by the pizza). The olive oil was really nice and high quality. The lamb sausage was also good. However I’m not a lamb person but i didn’t catch the lamb part when the server was explaining it to me. He had a pretty thick accent … Do most people actually catch what servers say? Also I don’t like peas… Yet the pasta still tasted good despite my dislike for lamb and peas! Impressive. This is easily one of the best Italian places in town!

I absolutely love Nino’s! After my friend discovered this place, we decided to trek all the way to 46th and 6th to try it out. It seems small at first, and yes, it is actually pretty small inside, but what the restaurant lacks in space, makes up for in its flavorful, homemade pasta. Upon entering at 12 – 12:30, the place was packed. So, if you’re going for lunch– highly recommend making a reservation if they allow that. Otherwise, risk waiting a very long time in a very narrow hallway between the counter and the wall(but with pretty wallpaper because this place is super classy with glass-mirrors and great interior-design). Luckily, our waiter made the right move and took our order down so our food would be ready when we sat down. Once seated, we got to take a stab at this amazing pasta. And many stabs after that because of how amazing it was! I had the chicken parm, an obvious classic. During lunch, the prices are really good– about $ 10-$ 15 per plate. The chicken cut really nicely and the cheese was just topped so perfectly. The pasta, being homemade was a plus, was a bit soft, but the sauce and fresh basil just made it so good together. I felt that the plate was really hot when I got to it, but better hot than cold for me! The staff was also really great and overall, I really enjoyed my experience. I would definitely do pasta here again.

Good for groups — came here with 7 – 8 friends for a weekend lunch. I ordered the prosciutto mushroom and ricotta pizza — wish it had at least some veggies on top but still delicious, especially the crust. In general, everyone who got pizza enjoyed their dish more than those who got pasta — but that may also be a matter of personal taste. We also got the fried calamari appetizer, which was AMAZING — the best fried calamari I’ve had in a long time. No photo since we devoured it so quickly!
