Came in for snacks and drinks last evening after work– had an incredible time! We’d asked the waitress for recommendations and tested out the artichoke truffle fries. I wanted to take a photo, but we devoured them too fast! Highly recommend, it was such a unique and wonderful meal. The wine was delicious as well. Great food, drinks and service– we will be back!

Been here at least a dozen times over the years due to office proximity. Food has always been mediocre but has deteriorated beyond that. Service has slowed and become more rude. Stopped going bc why give a place like that my money but in a moment of weakness chose to get Mealpass from here — only to have to wait for a meal that already should have been prepared and then treated like a second class citizen by the barstaff bc I came via Mealpass, scolded for ordering a «$ 5 meal». If you don’t want Mealpass customers then don’t sign up as a Mealpass vendor — it’s pretty simple.

We hosted my sister’s baby shower in the 2nd floor Fireplace room and Garden room at The Churchill this weekend. The rooms had a great flow, the sandwiches, scones and desserts were delicious, the mimosas carafes were plentiful, and the people helping us with the event were wonderful! Big thank you to Ruth for all your assistance with room set-up and layout. Our guest of honor was thrilled with the her shower. We had so many compliments from guests on how adorable The Churchill was. Thanks again for a great day!

Great hospitality at this cute spot! I went to the upstairs bar(because downstairs was full)… The bar tender and other patrons couldn’t have been nicer! I just had sides to eat and they were fantastic(and BIG portions). I’ll be back!

We hosted a wonderful bridal shower for 30 women upstairs at the Churchill Tavern in the Garden room. The service was flawless, staff was very polite and accommodating. Our guests commented that the food was delicious and the space was beautiful. Guests with dietary restrictions were very pleased with their flexibility. We enthusiastically recommend The Churchill Tavern for your next party!!!

Came here on a Friday night and easily got a table for 6. It’s pretty noisy but it’s got this dark ambiance going on. I noticed a lot of people were just standing around, not sure why. Drinks were reasonably priced. $ 9 wines, $ 8 beers and you can order cocktails off the books.

My boyfriend asked me to find a place for his bday the day before and I kind of freaked out a little since I obviously wanted to find somewhere good. I knew there would be a bigger crowd so I wanted to reserve someplace but also make sure it was a good bar. I contacted the Churchill and they got right back to me and reserved us a great spot in the front of the bar with plenty of room for 15 people. It was completely perfect. The woman I was emailing with as also extremely friendly and helpful. It was a Saturday night and I felt like there was the perfect amount of people at the bar, enough to feel like you are some place cool but it wasn’t totally packed out. The drinks were really good and I didn’t have any food but the people who got some seemed to like it(it looked like typical bar food). I also seem to remember there being a fireplace, which I am always a fan of.

The pub had such great promise and the London Pride was very good but the food was not great. The sausage roll appetizer was tiny and about half the size expected. The Scotch egg was reheated and dry and probably the least enjoyable I have tested. We won’t go back for the food but the beer was good and it was nice to see the prices of each on the menu so no checkout surprises.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I made reservations here for my boyfriend’s birthday a couple months ago, and our experience was, simply stated, amazing. We were greeted by one of the owners(I believe her name was Sinead– she was super kind and helpful — I can’t say enough nice things about her!) and were told that we would have to wait some time, which was absolutely fine because we had arrived quite early. Nevertheless, she apologized and seated us at a great, intimate spot. I would give the hospitality alone 5 stars. But then came the food. Devils on horseback, I believe? My god. If you are going here, they are a MUST try. Boyfriend ordered the shepards pie, and I ordered fish and chips. Both dishes were excellent. The Churchill provides truly excellent service as well as delicious food. If you’re in the area, you must check it out. Especially during the Christmas season!

This place is pretty awesome!!! I like the people that works here! Sara my favorite waitress, Ramiro, Jennifer and Lee my favorite bartenders. Food is decent but I come because of the people that are really caring and fun to be around! I bring a lot of my «coworkers» here because even though I work at a downtown restaurant, this is my go to place!!! Period

This is my new favorite bar. It’s warm and cozy. And Christmas time explodes in here. Gorgeous little spot to come and enjoy a beverage(can’t comment on the food-we didn’t order).

I like it here, and I will def be returning. Recently went here for a company outing and we had the top floor. It has a great cozy vibe to it, like you’re in a living room rather than a bar. Tons of English/British themed memorabilia throughout the space. They have a good selection of beers both on draft and bottled/canned. I only had appetizers while I was there, but the buffalo chicken«meatballs» were delicious. Apparently they deck the place out for the holiday season, so I will have to return for that. I love me some Christmas shit.

As an Englishman I want to rate this place higher but I just can’t. I’ve been to a few events here mainly for drinks and this past weekend I went to try the Sunday Roast which is hard(impossible?) to find anywhere else in the city. Having a Sunday Roast with friends is one on the things I miss most about England and I was excited to try and replicate that over here. I went with my favorite; roast beef and was really disappointed. It was REALLY tough and hard to chew, it came with a handful of veggies, 3 tiny, burnt potatoes, a cold, dry Yorkshire Pudding and hardly any gravy. My fiancée had the stuffed pork which was pretty decent although we were disappointed that it didn’t have the traditional crackling that should come with a Pork Roast. It also didn’t come with many trimmings or gravy. Even though this is the only place that does a roast that i know of in the city I probably won’t go back even to try the other meats as its also well over priced at $ 26; I am from the North of England and I used to get a delicious roast in my local pub with loads of trimmings and gravy and a desert for around $ 10. I’d rather spend the money and time making my own at home to a higher standard.

This became a definite on my list when I read on here that they play recordings of Churchill’s speeches in the bathroom. I’m not a huge history buff, but it’s certainly a nice added touch. Once I got in here, I developed a little bit of a crush. From the outside it looks like the typical mid-town Irish pub, but it’s anything but. For starters, there’s two full floors of tables, so if you’re looking for a quiet table out of the way for post-work drinks, you’ll find something. The food menu is also way above average. I’m loathe to say I can’t recall anything from it off the top of my head, but it was certainly not the standard bar fare and not an after thought either. The main purpose of this place is drinks, for sure, but you would be easily as happy to get a full dinner here too. The drinks selection is pretty worthy as well. Original crafted cocktails and a sizable British beer list on draught. It’s as perfectly executed as a pub can get.

Came here for a friend’s birthday and loved it. They let him reserve space for our group at no charge and with no minimums. They gave us the front room, with cozy, candle-lit wooden tables and large doors that opened up to the street for fresh air. We were greeted by the nicest hostess/waitress. It was her first night on the job and she was honest about not being sure of some menu items and needed to ask the kitchen about a few things. She was honest and gave us great recommendations and made sure we always had drinks. We ordered the devils on horseback(cheese-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, amazing), fish and chips, and a burger. Food was great and they had a typical pub beer selection. Cocktails were also very good(although pretty overpriced) and I really enjoyed the one made with elderflower. We did have some problems with incorrect drinks being ordered or put on our receipts, but the bar fixed everything no problem. Overall, we had a blast and the wait staff was so friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Bartender called Lee(or something like that.). He was extremely rude and offended my friend(who is a girl) for dressing in shorts. We had altogether a bad time trying to figure out why jekrs like him hate on girls like her. Nice people should be respected more. I have pnly beenhere once, so it migt have been the bartender was just having a bad day or something. But I’m not sure I’ll ever go back.

This place has a really great menu and service as well. I opted for the fish and chips because I’ve never had it before. I should point out there was a great selection of ciders. I thought the recording of churchill in the restroom was very amusing and a nice touch.

The Churchill isn’t quite close enough to be our local, but we come here all the time anyway. Great, cozy ambiance, and the staff is wonderful. The cocktails are delicious, and furthermore are literary puns. We’re not big on beers, but my friends who are say hid things. The salads are great, we like the cobb, warm kale with chicken(the chefs know how to make a chicken breast actually taste like something), and country salad best. The benedict is one of the best in the city. The apps and sides are also great! The only things we don’t love are the artichoke fries(which are good but not as good as they sound) and the desserts, which are similarly good but not great.

I love British pubs. Believe it or not, they remind me of England! Also, they usually have good beers. And Scotch. Scotchy Scotch Scotch. Anyway, they have happy hour drink specials. I had a Moscow Mule. They also had some cool seasonal beers, like Peak Organic Ginger, but I didn’t partake in that. It was a hard liquor kind of night. The upstairs area is far cooler than the downstairs. They have another bar, and some gigantic arm chairs. And of course, a great whiskey selection. I had a very reasonably priced glass of Talisker. The bathroom has Victorian-era photos of naked ladies. Also, it plays clips of Churchill speeches while you do your business. Hope to be back for the Sunday Roast!

Come before they take down the decorations!!! Right now the inside of the bar is just STUNNING. It’s gorgeously decorated in lots of greenery, lights, ornaments, and bows. It’s so warm and sparkly and inviting. Being that it’s an English pub, the whole effect is sort of Christmas Carol-ish. Not sure how long it’s going to stay like that, so get here before it’s gone! Went with friends for happy hour and had a fantastic time. From the comfortable perch at our table to the super friendly cute server to the happy hour glasses of Malbec, we stayed for hours and reluctantly had to leave(it was a work night, after all). We ordered a few appetizers to share and they were quite delicious. The Artichoke Fries with truffle aioli was a winner for us, as were the Potato Wedges with sour cream and chili. The Devils on Horseback(figs stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon) were yummy, but just a touch too rich for us. The vibe of this place is friendly and chill. I’ve been told it’s big for the after-work crowd, but that night it seemed very casual, none of those corporatey guys in suits. Absolutely great place and our new happy hour spot!
