Stopped in here after the Village Halloween parade and it wasn’t too crowded, which was nice. Everyone who works here is really chill, and the drinks were cheap(ladies night, thursday!) Food was typical bar food and took a while to come out, but no complaints. It’s a good laid back place to grab a drink and actaully have room to sit & hangout a while.

If you ask for Jameson, you’ll get some imposter plastic bottle whiskey disguised in a Jameson bottle. Never again.

Wowza. honestly, I just really like their fried mac and cheese and nachos. They are BOMB. Besides that, I really have nothing bad to say yet nothing great either. Cool spot, great for happy hour, not full of assholes. Of course there’s the occasional too-drunk-too-early guy, but hey, we’ve all been there. The bartender is very attentive and there’s good drink deals. I’d come back. But if their kitchen had a flood or electrical fire, then I wouldn’t. Ya know

This is my team’s new local spot. It is a dive and that is why it is so perfect. They have no AC. It is so hot and humid, you can’t help but drink… A LOT. Stand by the fan to cool off for like half a second. Love there appetizer sampler. It feeds an army. Mozzarella sticks and wings are the bomb. I know because I have fed my team, which is like an army. And they left nothing on the table. Drinks: Get some picklebacks, soco lime, or jamieson shots. That is all you need for a great time. You may not remember anything you did that night but you’ll be thanking me in the morning.

Drinks are well priced. Usually not too packed. Pretty solid happy hour specials. Plenty of TVs. Food is pretty bad, don’t come from the food — especially avoid the nachos. It’s all around a pretty standard sports bar, probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

Cool bartenders who play a good variety of music and make good long island iced teas and patron margaritas. Several TVs, good place to catch any big game. The wings are great, I like them plain with hot sauce on the side so the skin is nice and crispy. The pizza was alright. heard the burgers are great though. Also, I have to thank the bartenders for introducing me to pickle back shots!

Going to keep this simple. I have been here on more than one occasion due to convenience. This bar is situated by my office and is usually on the way to or from where we are usually headed. I have always headed here with a group of at least 5 people. No frills kind of place. Average selection of beers with full bar. Poor circulation of air, so the upstairs gets really hot. If you don’t mind poor to mediocre service, then by all means — check it out.

This place is the regular jaunt of my office for happy hour, especially as it is a block away. Dewey’s has a decent happy hour special($ 5 well drinks and wine, and $ 4 select beers). There are 2 levels; the upstairs has couches, so that’s where we usually head towards. Unfortunately, only you can only get a wider selection of beer from downstairs, or if you do waitress service. I haven’t tried their food, so I can’t attest to that. There are a lot of TVs, so you can come here to get your sports game fix on.

Server: Liza The crime: $ 4.00 sodas, no refills. Potato salad was gag worthy. These are frozen potatoes, not fresh. Who makes potato salad with frozen potatoes? Guacamole was lifeless and bland. Did I mention the FOURDOLLAR sodas? With NO refills? In 8oz glasses?! Pros: burger and fries were good Service was«eh».

Go here for the drinks and happy hours… don’t go here for the overpriced food. Dewey’s is a great spot for a drink with friends and that’s it. The food is overpriced for what you get and not well prepared. $ 13 for the smallest chicken wrap with no sauce and super dry chicken and a tiny serving of coleslaw? I was better off grabbing some street meat from outside. However, they have great happy hours!

I always have a really good time when I come here. The bar can get a bit congested as the layout is somewhat narrow. There are a decent amount of roomy booths at the back of the bar which feature very attentive service if you want to get away from the crowds up front. The bartenders are all very friendly, and earn high marks… and tips… in my book. Beer selection is decent, but pricey. The other night I ordered 3 drafts: Yuengling, Dogfish 90min. IPA, & Sam Adams. $ 24. Call me old fashioned, or just old, but I think even by today’s standards that is expensive for a bar of this kind. There are ample flat screens showing numerous sporting events, and the music is usually pretty good. Healthy mix of genres. There is an upstairs area that I think is mostly reserved for private parties. I would say the food is typical pub fare, and I have mostly sampled chicken fingers, wings, onion rings, etc. Average dish runs around $ 10 – 13. I will continue to come here as the location is convenient for the group of us that normally meet here for drinks. I will also reserve the right to continue complaining that there beer prices are too high. Oh, forgot one key ingredient to this bar… PBR Tall Boys. For $ 10 you can get one and a shot of Jameson.

Used to live in the neighborhood and Dewey’s is a good old reliable spot for happy hour or if you need a drink without a cover, line, or pretentious crowd on a weekend night. The food is your typical bar food, nothing special and surprisingly a little overpriced for burgers considering shake shack is just across the street! Bottom line, good place if you are in a pinch or in the neighborhood, but nothing to go out of your way to check out.

This place was ok, we only went because it was close. Not sure if it is supposed to be an Irish bar or something else. There was no real identity to the place. Good beer selection but the prices were high. The joint has on overall funk to, which may be from the kitchen. The food was ok, but overpriced. I am originally from Upstate and know great wings. These wings were ok but $ 11 really? Pizza was good but again, not worth the money.

Cool dive in Flatiron. Drinks are in big glasses and the bartenders hook them bad boys up. It’s really loud but like I said, it’s a dive. It’s a cool spot to hit up before or after your night.

If you’re 23 and looking to go clubbing, you would hate this place. If you are around the age of 30, looking for a place to listen to solid music and have a few pints with friends after work? This is probably the place for you. It’s huge. There’s a lot of seating on the first and second floor, and there’s a bar on both floors. I wish I had discovered this place before. There are flat screen TVs all over the place, so watching the game isn’t a problem either. When I was here last, a few TVs had ESPN on, and a few others had«The Scariest Movies Of The Last 10 Years» on Spike. I’m not sure if I agree with Spike’s choice of ‘The Ring’ as the scariest movie of the last decade, but it created a discussion at the bar about the merits of various horror movies. A solid mid-town option, that I will definitely return to.

My new favorite spot 9 – 11PM on Saturdays. Why? Ladies night = $ 5 cover and free drinks(well drinks, bud, bud light, and house wine). It seemed too good to be true, but as soon as we stepped in, the bouncer told us about it. Aside from that special, the food is decent. They were out of portobella mushrooms so I ordered the zesty chicken sandwich instead(grilled chicken with mozzarella on ciabatta & side of sweet potato fries) — it was pretty good. The appetizer sampler had a good decent amount of food — although it looked like it was all thrown onto the plate. The server was good and all the bartenders made the drinks pretty decent(the female bartender had a heavier hand than the male), especially considering it was free. There are also several flat TVs around the bar/restaurant so it would be an okay place to watch games(although there are better sports bars in the city).

So this bar isn’t anything that knocks your socks off, but I like it there. i like that its not too crowded, I like that there is a lot of wood, and I like that they have cold beer on tap. I’ve been here twice, so far, once during a redonkulous rain storm, and once before I had dinner plans. I like their beer selection, the food smelt good, and if i didn’t already have plans, I’d house one of their burgers — the guy next to me was eating one and it took all my self control not to steal his fries. They had a full bar, a friend of mine always seems to have trouble finding makers mark — they had it, so that was nice. the location is nice, I like the flat iron district, and there weren’t too many meat heads — which is key for me to enjoy a bar. nice bar, nice atmosphere, nice beer. Its like 72 degrees… pleasant.

You know that guy in your office who’s kind of a creep? The guy who sits in the corner, has no friends, and is always trying to hang out? The guy who keeps the rest of you from talking about your plans to go out after work for fear that he’ll catch wind of them, so you all secretly e-mail each other instead? Turns out I’m that guy. I recently discovered that all my co-workers go out drinking together ALLTHETIME. They have been hiding at Dewey’s because it’s the closest bar to our office, and I’d never think to look there. Here I’ve been staking out all the bars near their apartments, and they’ve been right under my nose the whole time. Anyway, I can see why they go to Dewey’s: it’s a solid bar. They have a decent happy hour with an out-sized happy hour crowd(lots of offices in the area), but there are plenty of booths, each with their own flatscreen. The drinks are strong enough, and the beer selection is decent as well. The menu seems like the standard fried bar food staples(mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, etc.), and while I haven’t yet had the pleasure, I bet they taste like the standard fried bar food staples. An average after-work spot, perfect for downing a few drinks(hopefully on the expense account) and complaining about your company/boss/salary/life.
