Came across this place one night(thanks Unilocal) when was really hoping to play a game of beer pong but Stumble Inn was packed(no I’m not in college, but once in a blue moon I don’t mind kicking a little ass if given the opportunity). The staff was nice enough to clear tables and set up a board for us to play. Of coarse I dominated as per usual and a good time was had by all. Well, at least by me anyway. Keep crying losers! Other then our own fun, the bar was nothing particularly special. Only a few lushes at the bar having quiet conversation. Sports playing on big screen TVs. 90’s-early 2000’s music was pumping. Beer seemed to be pretty cheap which is always a plus. This would be a good spot to relax and watch some sports while grabbing a drink. Would I come again? This bar isn’t very memorable but people seem nice. I might come back if I was in the area and desperate to throw ping pong balls into plastic cups,

The bartenders are always extremely nice and over the top accommodating, whether they are setting up beer pong /flip cup tables or accommodating a large party to watch a game. I’ve always received first class service and treatment here, with really well priced pitcher specials. Ideal for drinking games and game watches.

Manager called my friend and I «c***s» after trying to ask about the foursquare special. Completely rude and uncalled for!

This place is awesome. I wish it was closer to my apartment. They play good music on weekends and the bartenders are really cool. They have an awesome little backyard you can drink in. They also have beer pong tables in the front. Great place to grab a drink on the weekend. I had like 30 friends here for my birthday and it was perfect. Enough room for everyone and I got to play darts, drink beers and hang out outside.

I don’t know how u can screw up chicken fingers but… Ordered my first order and I thought they were so perfect and amazing that I had to have another. Got the second order and wanted to go to the bathroom and throw up because they were severely undercooked. How does a chef fuck that up? Then I got another order that were properly cooked but had to pay for them after they knew I ate a full uncooked chicken finger before I realized it. Save yourself the food poisoning.

I came here on a beer crawl… they have cheap beer and a friendly staff. I’m pretty sure I got the wings and I liked them enough to order more. At the end of the day it is just a sports bar but I’m reviewing it for what it is. No ones bringing a date here.

This is one of the worst bars I have ever been to in my life. It’s disgusting, dirty, has a horrible menu, and has vomit in the bathrooms. DONOTGOHEREEVER.

What Andrea the Elite said. Massively reduced menu and vomit. It’s your«typical» UES bar now… not worth going to. I actually couldn’t eat anything on the menu but the waitress was cool enough to pretend not to notice that I brought my own food in from a bodega next door. Also gets a star for super accommodating waitstaff — they played exactly the games we wanted on certain TVs and the cool bartender gave us free shots! Sadly tho– the bar itself is mediocre at best and the beer list is VERY unimaginative.

Came in on a Wednesday 8:30pm. 10 people at the bar, max Twenty minutes after we ordered(and were served the wrong beer) we finally got our drinks with a laugh about how the computers were down. Sure, fine, I do understand, but that’s not customer service to me. Plus side — Miller High Life on tap and a strong pour with the whisky.

3.5 stars. The Bullpen is a giant sports bar, it’s extremely clean and full of flat screen TVs. They have a good sized smoking friendly back patio that even has a few TV’s in weatherproof housing there as well. Despite the large size the only game they have here is darts but the space set aside for darts is spacious and the dart board is practically brand new. I went on a Sunday night and the place was practically empty(no major sports games going on that night) there’s no weekend happy hour from what I can tell but I didn’t see any prices posted. Turns out Bullpen is pricey, most drafts are $ 7, the cheapest being $ 5 for a Bud Light. I didn’t get a chance to check out the food but I’ve heard good things. My date asked the bartender his opinion of a beer on tap and he said he wasn’t a beer drinker and they all tasted the same to him. He was a really nice guy but you’re a bartender at a sports bar and you can’t really describe the few beers on tap? He was generous enough to give us a buy back after a few beers, something that rarely happens in NYC and greatly appreciated. Especially as we weren’t sitting at the bar. If I’m in the area and want some pub grub or a beer outside I might drop by but I certainly wont be going out of my way for another slightly overpriced sports bar.

Run of the mill. They have a dozen or so TVs relatively well spaced. There’s a beer pong table which can get annoying depending who’s playing. It should be noted that the plate of nachos isn’t really all that big. I was hoping to be reasonably full by ordering it. It’s about the size of two fists, and all the toppings are out of a can or squeeze bottle. No fresh peppers or full beans. Just squeeze cheese and a few flecks of chicken. For $ 13 or so, I would pass on the food. Even some of the staff advised passing on other options.

Double charged us for our bill. According to other reviews on this site, this has happened before to others at this bar. I was there a few Fridays ago with 3 friends. We had a few drinks each. Nothing crazy, just an ordinary, quiet night out. I put down my card to open the tab. At the end of the night my buddy insists on paying so we ask for my card back and he puts down his. Fast forward to Monday, we see that both our cards got charged for the bill. I called the bar and got hung up on. Called back later and a different person picks up, takes my name and number. «This happens all the time» he tells me. The manager will get right back to me he says. Surprise, surprise, I never heard back from them. Currently going through my credit card company to dispute the charge. Pretty pathetic way to keep your business open.

My first and favorite bar in NYC. The bartenders are some of the most awesome people you’ll ever meet. You will instantly become friends with them and maybe a few other regular patrons. They have the best pickle-backs in the city and the menu is good too. The nachos are particularly ginormous! There’s a patio in back and your favorite new york sporting events across there many tv screens. In the summer there is usually an influx of Zog sports people, but it’s always a good time when you’re at the Bullpen.

After some saturday night rooftop dinner/drinks at a friends UES apartment, we found ourselves over at The Bullpen. Seeking some games of beer pong and a smattering of sports on the many TVs, we wanted to get here early to hold down a decent spot for out group of 20 or so. We were greeted by Richie, one of the two bartenders working the Saturday night shift. He was quick to set us up with a second beer pong table when the other was being used by a similarly-sized group. After some pitchers and pong games, Richie summoned us over for what would be our first, of several rounds, of free shots! All in all, it was a great night, with great company, at a great bar! It never got too crowded inside, and although there was a nice outdoor space, we didn’t spend too much time out there.

Searching Unilocal for beer pong, again, and on the upper East Side no less, had just led us to a stinky bar without A/C. We walked in, then out, then searched again and called The Bullpen asking if they could accommodate us. It was super empty around midnight on this Friday, the air conditioning was chilling the bar down to a respectably cool temperature. The beer pond table is off to the side so we didn’t feel like our shenanigans were going to overtake others enjoyable evenings, save the odd errant ball or two. Pitchers were cold and plentiful, and the nice bartender was happy to have us. The Bullpen made our night!

The Bullpen is the friendliest sports bar with the best deals for Sunday football. $ 10 pitchers of mimosas(a whole bottle of champagne included) and the red head bartender is a riot, introduce yourself and she will greet you by name every time you come. Comprehensive selection of draft beers and the bar food is actually really good, the sliders are a great deal as are the huge salads, but the wings are nothing to write home about. On a nice day, head to the back patio where they will set you up with your game in front of the outdoor TV with waitress service(my favorite) My only gripe is the awkward seating and placement of TVs inside. Get there early if you want a bar seat, with the multitude of fans all watching different games you might find yourself craning your neck or squinting!

Not an entirely authentic Sports Bar. Good amount of tvs, and you can find your game on about 2 tv’s at a time. Unlike a true sports bar, there was music and not the commentary from at least one game. This place had a nice outdoor patio with tv’s. If it wasn’t so humid, we would have been there. Our game was on a Saturday night, but we left by 10:00. It didn’t seem like the crowd changed much later at night, not making it a «going out» bar. We ate the wings and Nachos– both were great, and reasonably priced. i think if you check in with foursquare you get a free pitcher.

Talk about a ton of deals for this local bar! This has gotten my boo and I to start thinking we ought to frequent the more local bars in the upper sides. On each day, they have different specials-cheap types of food, drinks, etc. Anyways, we came here while waiting to watch an off-Broadway show nearby. We came on a weekday, and sat at the bar, with just two others inside. They all seemed close to the bartender, who immediately chatted with us. We talked to the group the entire time we were there, and they mixed me the girliest drink they could(they normally don’t do so)-he even added more juice after I asked him to a couple times. Now that is super nice! We ordered food, and the guys munched on some of it. We drank, ate, and spread good cheer. Sweeet.

My boo and I were walking around the upper East Side before a play we were going to see at Ryan’s Daughter. We were searching far and wide for some vittles to sustain us. The UES seems to really lack food places, however we saw the sign advertising food specials in front of this random sports bar called The Bullpen. On this Wed night, they were advertising Wino Wednesday, which was $ 3 glasses of red wine or $ 1 glasses of white zin. $ 3 Chips and guac and $ 5 quesadillas. We ended up having a really fun time here. This is a local neighborhood bar. I felt like I was walking into a place where we didn’t belong, however one of the patrons and Paul, the older gentleman who was our bartender made us feel at home. While this place seems like a sports bar for guys, my boo was the only female in the bar for most of the time we were there and Paul made her a drink and he adjusted it for her about 3 times until she liked it enough to drink. We sat, we ate, we drank, and we had a merry ol time. I felt like we were in one of those NY tv shows with a bar because bar patrons came and went, however they all just chatted us up and made us feel really welcome to the city.
