Good atmosphere, big space, easy to get into and stay in without getting pushed around, pool table is fun, you can run into regulars here(rare in NYC), haven’t had any food and the drinks are as expected. Good if you want a chill night out in the neighborhood but not an amazing must-try. Music can be too loud though, and hard to hear one another.

Went here for a Sports night out with a group of appx 20 – 25 people last night. We had a really nice time… Atmosphere was good, nice décor, clean environment and staff was attentive. Haland the bartender was super cool. Another young lady that was there also was very friendly & courteous. Towards the back of the lounge, they have a pool table, ping pong, arcade(pac man) and more seating. Music was playing but we turned it off once the KNICK game was on. Flat screens throughout, in the back and at the bar… The food was just OK… I ordered the grilled chicken sandwhich and it was kind of chewy. Everyone else ordered the wings and LOTS of wings… they were satisfied. Drinks and food were average lounge/sports bar priced. Happy hour was between 6p-10p…the drinks were good, not watered down. The only thing I recommend, if you’re coming with a large group make sure to call ahead because they host losts of parties. There were 2 that were scheduled, it just happened that our group were able to get in and out before hand. That was a chance… Overall, it’s a nice place and would visit here again when in there area.

I happened upon this place looking for a good happy hour deal after a work event. Turns out it was $ 5 well drinks all night on Monday, which is a pretty good deal. They bar area is a decent size, and there’s the back room… The back room is an open space with couches a long one wall and a few café-style tables. There’s also one pool table and a photo booth for your enjoyment. This seems like a pretty good place to watch sports since there are plenty of tvs and food, which I didn’t try. They also have music videos playing all night long.

This place has its pros and cons. I love the TV’s at the bar. Good size and low enough that it doesn’t strain your neck to have to look up too high. I also love the ping pong table in the back! Always a fine time. I’m not a big fan of the loud rap/pop stuff they play. Maybe it’s just a matter of personal preference, but I don’t understand playing that stuff early in the night when there isn’t much of a crowd. Also, the menu is kind of limited. I’ll definitely go back for the ping pong, and while the TV’s are great, I don’t particularly want to listen to loud rap music while watching a game.

Not entirely sure why I don’t come here more often. Lots of tvs(sometimes some are playing obscure music videos — very cool), decent beers and cute bartenders. What’s not to like? Well I guess the fact it can get a bit crowded… otherwise really great place to spend a weekend night!

A whatever UES bar.. Waiters are a bit unprofessional and laid back. Food is whatever, small bar menu with the typical stuff you expect. They have a pool table in the back that they jammed with pong cups so at least you can play for free. Its meh. I think I need to look a bit harder for good places to plant myself for football sundays.

The happy hour was limited to wine, domestic bottles, and well drinks on the night which we came(Not the biggest fan of domestic bottles, and we were already drinking beer). The music here was pretty good. All of which were classics from the 80s and 90s, as well as top 40 here and there. Amazing fries here, crispy and salty, but I felt the service here to be sub par. On a Wednesday night, it tends to get pretty packed,(but maybe because there was about 9 of us already there). Cheers

Since I always troop downtown for all my friends birthdays, i thought it would be great to have a bday in my area ;) After searching for alittle I came across BB&R. Manager was super accomodating and i reserved half the back room on a saturday for a 30 ppl party. Loved the area, all my friends had a great time, and about half had the open bar deal which was great. I recommend this for a bday since the back room is great. PS: some of my friends made comments that photobooth and pool table were great, but i would nix the fees for those — even though we still used it

For this area, this place is pretty awesome. As they say in life, situations matter! And we were here on a Friday and just wanted a spot to hang out and chill, and this was the place for us. We got a booth no problem and what else did they have? Yup, awesome music and later in the night that awesome music was matched up with their music videos on their TVs. I realized here how little music videos I watch now, so thanks BB&R for teaching me about some new and even some old music videos – can you say Bienvenido a Miami? ha ha The drinks are pretty strong here, but they got rid of their Friday power hour sessions they used to do which made Rupi M. pretty sad. But if you use their Unilocal deal like we did, you get at least $ 10 worth of free booze which is pretty good! And their drinks to begin with aren’t that pricey so this place will pretty much make you feel like you left as a winner even if you aren’t really

It was kind of empty on a Tuesday night, and I wasn’t sure if I liked the nondescript sportsbar atmosphere, but I thought the bartenders were nice(one roped me in to doing a shot with him and another patron whom he seemed to be friends with) and I liked the music, which was a mix of new and old top 40 with their respective music videos playing on the TVs. Made for some good music memories. Speaking of which, whatever happened to PM Dawn?

Stunning staff of female beauties, a beautifully decorated space, and some very good energy. I was invited by a friend who had everything covered, so it was open bar and open food for me, needless to say I had a great experience. The bar food is bar food. Nothing outstanding in terms of what we ordered(sliders, mozzarella sticks, pizza, & chicken fingers with fries). They had some pretty decent mojitos as well. Good times! Cheers!

Great bar !! Stunningly beautiful bartenders !! Marvelous crowd !! Wonderfully personable and cordial doorman !! What more do you need ? Oh yeah — I forgot, as if the above isn’t enough they also have a pool table, ping pong, an old-fashioned photo booth and about 7 video screens !!

A great local bar. By far my favorite on the upper east. The bartenders are amazing. Fun and friendly. And the place is really nice but still has a casual feel. Love it.

This rating is exclusively geared toward the food. I really like this bar, which is in my neighborhood. The bartenders are friendly, the seating is comfortable, the TVs are big and plentiful and there is pool and ping pong in the back room. There is so much to like about this place. But I have to call out these folks on their food. It’s a fucking disgrace. I was there earlier tonight and ordered chicken fingers($ 10) and fries($ 5). Straight shit. Frozen shit. It was kind of insulting how bad it was. To be charged $ 15 for something that couldn’t cost more than $ 2 or $ 3 is unfortunately common at sports bars. But there are also lots of other sports bars which put effort into their food. I’ll pay money if it’s for something of quality. The food at BB&R was just flat-out horrible tonight. I assume it’s like that every other night, although it was the first time I ate there. Again, this is a great bar for just about every other facet of what a bar represents. But the food was/is disgusting.

Came here for a friend’s bday! Staff is friendly here and the music is good !(had 3 flat screen tv hanging up in the back and play music videos of all the latest hits as well as oldies.) Great place to come and get your groove on ! Drinks were about normal city prices(9 dollars for a jack n coke). Def would come back ! oh and if you check it on Unilocal, you get a free cocktail ! Can’t beat free: P

BB&R is my favorite neighborhood bar. It’s clean(read: more polished than nearby Pat O’Brien’s), the bartenders are always nice, and I never have to wait in line for the bathroom. There are drink specials every night in addition to happy hour. This is also a great spot for watching sporting events, since they have a lot of TV’s and are willing to change channels for you if you’re interested in a particular game. They also serve typical pub grub, which happens to be pretty good. Add good music, in addition the sentimental value I have with this place(recently celebrated my engagement here!) I must give it a cool 5 stars.

Stopped in for drink to watch the Knicks game. Some loser d-bag was trying to hit on the two girls sitting next to me at the bar. Tried to get me in on the converation. I played along until I realized he was using lines from the VH1 show«The Pickup Artist»! I asked him if he was Mystery. He laughed it off. I told him he has no game. Girls laughed at him. End of story. Nice looking place though strange mix of clientele.

BB&R is one of my favorite places to visit in NY. This has everything to do with the people. The bouncers are hilarious and welcoming. It’s as if you have to be a 9 or a 10 to work here – the bartenders are gorgeous! The DJ takes requests all night, and you never have to fight to get in at the bar. I have met a lot of good people at this place, and the regulars are always amiable. Often, they’ll hold fundraisers where drinks are discounted or a portion of the proceeds goes to charity. Exposed brick and rich colors make for a warm lounge atmosphere. Pool table, more than one restroom, old school video games, and a photo booth? I think YES! This is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. The owners of Parlor Steakhouse have done it again(as they say) with Blonde, Brunette, and a Redhead. And if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation at the former, just walk down the street to the latter.

Average. Except for three things: 1) Pool table in the back 2) Photo booth(strip of pix for $ 3! a steal) 3) old-school arcade games featuring some deer hunter game(nah) and STREETFIGHTER! Wow, that brought me back to 3rd grade sleepovers playing on my friend’s Nintendo system. Other than that, though, BB& R doesn’t have much to set it apart. The music was eclectic — just how I like it on a Saturday night — but the bartenders(two girls, anyway) often seemed a bit more into the music than the customers. The mixed drinks are so-so. On tap are Hoegaarden, Stella, Bass, Guinness.

Have to say the place was stone cold quiet when I came in here but I loved the décor and the bartender was friendly. Great back room with some video games for the people who don’t want to socialize — would definitely have a girls night out or social event here. Seems like they even have small bites /catering for events. Date Rating: 6 Pick up Scale: TBD(didn’t really see anyone here when I came in) Strong Suggestions: Great bar, cozy space bring a group of friends for a nice evening or date.
