Ate at a not too busy time of day, so no wait at all. Friendly staff. There was this loose ceiling fan that kept clicking, which was kind of annoying, ambiance-wise. The food was OK. Pretty expensive, but that’s to be expected in Times Square.

Where do I get started with this highway robbery?! The service was horrible. I couldn’t even hear my server. She was talking so low and they had music blasting from all areas. The wings we ordered where shriveled and dried out. Give the wings their sauce! They must be charging by the ounce. I ordered a beer, Newcastle which I like to enjoy quite often and the server brings me out a glass bottle! Now, why in the world would a normal person order a bottled beer with all the fountains of draft beer they have. Demolish this dumb

We were sat at a table, and then waited a half hour before deciding to leave because a waitress never even came over to take our drink order/greet us. It wasn’t even busy… half the restaurant had open tables. Not to mention the menu is ridiculously priced. $ 20 for a hamburger. No thanks.

This place is to expensive to be so horrible. First time in NYC and wanted to try the Fridays because I’m such a fan and was totally disappointed. First off my husband ordered a lemonade that taste like watered down sprite and the server dude had the nerve to say to us, well that’s how our lemonade is and he drinks it everyday. I don’t know what kind of lemonade he drinks everyday but mine isn’t clear with soda bubbles. Then had the nerve to say«well I can bring you a coke» UMMMNO ! I want some real lemonade that’s made out of lemons sugar and water please. Carrying on to my drink. I ordered a peach sangria and my cup was broke. Enough said… Then my husband and I ordered the jack chicken strips only to find about 7 strips on our plate. Mind you we paid $ 14.99 for 7 strips. Thought about complaining, but I’m on vacation and I wasn’t gonna let that put a damper on my first night. Carrying on we thought we would try something else so we ordered the three for all appetizer and again … DISAPPOINTED. The potato skins and the wings were burnt to crisp, literally. It was like eating chips with melted cheese on them and the wings were chips with buffalo sauce. The pot stickers were cool. If it wasn’t for the celery and pot stickers I would have starved to death. UGH. I’m done

I was extremely disappointed by this location. I’ve eaten at many TGI Friday’s in the past, and this one was by far the worst. When the waitress arrived, more than half of the drinks I wanted that were listed on the menu were not available. We were not allowed to order ‘happy hour’ drinks because we weren’t sitting at the bar. I was forced by process of elimination to order a drink I didn’t even really want. That was part one. When we ordered our food, I had to double check my order with the server, instead of her repeating my order back to me. Now, I would ordinarily let this slide, but the fact was that she didn’t seem to speak or understand English very well, and I had to be sure she wasn’t ordering in some other way over-priced entrée. The food arrived. Mine was served in a skillet, which would lend to you the belief that out was going to be piping hot. It was a few degrees above room temperature. I ate it, begrudgingly, and washed it down with watered-down beer. If ask this weren’t bad enough, the server was watching over everything we did. FORTHEWHOLEMEAL. You want to talk about uncomfortable? Try eating a meal while you are keenly aware that someone is starting you down at every bite. I know she was trying to be considerate. I know she wasn’t busy(none of the place was). What I don’t get is why she made me feel like I couldn’t share my thoughts with my wife for fear she might join the conversation without an invite. Please. You’re in New York. Find a decent restaurant that’s worth what you’re paying, and don’t waste your money at Friday’s.

Absolute worst Friday’s I have ever been to. Bad food, bad, slow service, and I am pretty sure my CC # was stolen and used by one of the workers here three days later. with so many options in Times Square, avoid this place at all costs, literally.

Yikes! What a mistake it was going to this place! If I could go back in time, I would never have said to my husband, «Oh look, there’s a TGI Friday’s, lets go there!». The prices were just ridiculous. I’m not being cheap, I would rather have spent a little more on something better than TGI Fridays! They sure do jack up the prices at this location, and I’m really not sure why. The area didn’t look that fantastic and I think it’s still a bit far from Times Square. The food was good which is the only reason I’m not giving it only one star. The service sucks, blah blah blah. From reading the other reviews, it definitely sounds like we are all talking about the same mediocre, over priced place.

Avoid!!! Overpriced food, and you get very little portions. Did not fill me up, and I’m a small girl. Customer service was also pretty slow. Food is so blah. Avoooooiidddddddddd!

This TGI Fridays doesn’t follow the regular nation wide promotions due to the fact that its in close proximity to Times Square and the Theatre District. A burger & a side of fries can cost you at least $ 20. If you’re expecting an amazing menu from a national chain… then think again. I’d much rather go somewhere else in the future if I find myself hungry and in that area. You might be able to find things a bit less expensive in terms of drinks and food if you sit at the bar during the Happy Hour.

Did not appreciate the jacked up Times Square prices here. A real tourist trap. Food: Mediocre as a burger ran $ 30 and costs under $ 10 in Sheepshead Bay. You are better off with Juniors –who doesnt jack up their prices.

Came here for a friends farewell — and it was a pretty big group of about 25 people. They were on the 4th floor, Elevator was out of service, so we climb up the stairs to find them! The staff werent particularly friendly or happy. One look at the menu — food is PRICEY! for a national chain, I kind of expected it to be a bit more reasonable, but then hey this IS Times Square. I got one of their Passion Mango Slushies, because I didnt want to eat there — But there were no prices on the menu for certain drinks! Why? No idea. Friends got the cheapest thing on the menu — the Burger with Fries($ 11-$ 12) and she asked for Sweet Potato fries — but got regular fries. They did come back with sweet potato fries on the side though. Our waitress was super nice though — but I cant believe they left 1 person to serve 25 people, when the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty… she finally did end up getting help — but must’ve been stressful! Would not recommend this ever. Would rather have $ 1 pizza on the sidewalk.

I’ll be brief with this review because its a chain restaurant. Location: Amazing — who wouldn’t kill to have a store here? Food: Below average even for TGI Fridays Service: Where? Oh — they’re busy? But its amazingly empty in here for the location? Oh — they’re busing talking to EACHOTHER. Gotcha. Pice: Holy cow! About twice what it is at any other TGI Fridays. Side of fries was $ 8. A burger meal will run you over $ 20 no matter what. Eat on the street. The only reason to come in here is the bathroom.

Look this place has a good food, not great food. The reason I wast attracted to this place was the name. TGI, what does that stand for? No one knows. I asked the hostess what it stood for and she said, «If I told what TGI stood for I would have to kill you», I quickly moved on and ordered the chicken fingers. However I yearn for the answer, what does TGI mean?

Très mauvais souvenirs ! Beaucoup de monde, mauvais accueil, viande pas terrible et addition très lourde. J’essayerais de me faire un autre avis quand j’irais sur Londres mais je suis resté sur une très mauvaise note.

Folks, I have to say that even though this is a national chain, it really feels like you’re getting a little piece of New York in every bite. Not only do the cold french fries have the gritty taste of a sidewalk on New Years day, but the hamburgers have exactly the kind of bland over hyped taste that you would associate with anything in Time Square. Tres Classy! The culture experience doesn’t end there though! Our waitress stayed in character throughout the entire meal! Her lack of eye contact and her desire to ignore all other human beings was perfect complement to a New York meal! The best part was that the Cheese Burger and fries came to about $ 21.00. This really saved us some time because my wife had wanted to get mugged and we couldn’t figure out where to go to do it. All the bad neighborhoods looked so far away. But TGI Fridays saved the day again, their prices amount to a wonderful mugging that you have to give a tip for. My one problem with the place was that after they seated us that they give us our water after about 30 minutes. I was kind of hoping to have to get into a shouting match with someone about it(just like on TV!!!). Maybe next time.

I am a huge fan of Fridays as my friends and i have been going to various ones throughout the country and have never had a bad experience until we went to the one in times square. Everything was tripled by its normal price and the waitress who I have nick named Sista Souljah had some issues with her braids and spent 15 minutes adjusting it in front of us and then failed to wash her hands. Bad, bad experience.

I went to this place last spring. This is dumpfood… In my opinion it seems most of the food are microwaved. The jack smapler with chicken, shrimp and ribs is sloppy. my frien orders a steak it was not good. Place is in the heart of times square. price is expensive due to location. No matter how bad the service is… at least 15 persent of tip is already included in the bill… If you are looking for great food in NYC; Check out an owner chef type of restaurant. Food is more tasty. avoid most of the chain food like chilli. tgi/. applebee ect.

Note of full-disclosure. .. we are local New Yorkers and we could have gone anywhere to have a bite to eat, BUT we came here with family only because my kids like it, otherwise I wouldn’t have thought to come here. .. especially in Manhattan’s busiest tourist district which also means inflated prices. Anyhow, this TGI Friday’s bills itself as the BIGGESTTGI Friday’s. .. we go in there, and we had a family member with us who cannot walk well and the seating(for the most part), is upstairs — ok, so we ask to be directed to the elevator. .. NOELEVATOR to be had. In the BIGGESTTGI Friday’s. .. REALLY?! What a crock of. .. well you get the idea. So we were directed to the TGI Friday’s on Broadway at 46th street. .. to be continued on the Unilocal page for that TGI Friday’s location.

TGI Fridays… you’re disgusting. First off, it’s nothing but stairs. Lots of stairs. Talk about a hazard! The staff leaves much to be desired, though the«Old Brooklyn Lady» as a waitress was amusing. We didn’t have her, though we almost wished we did. We had some girl who took our drink order as soon as we sat down and said «Are you gonna order now?» Us: «Um, can you, like, give us a minute?» Waitress: *sigh* «Ok» Not even a minute goes by, when she drops our drinks off she said«Can you order now?!» Us: «Fine. Two NY Strip with shrimp please. Medium.» Waitress: «Oh. Is that all? Like, no appetizer or nothin’? That’s all?» Us: «Uh…yea. Thanks.» Thanks for giving me no more than three minutes to decide on my lunch. Thanks for not giving us the new menu with new items so we may try them. Thanks for giving us one of the lousiest dining experiences ever… ever. Oh, and on the receipt, she circled the total, which is customary, and circled the area where tip percentages where suggested, and said«TIPNOTINCLUDED!!!» No, really? I didn’t realize I came from planet X or something. This may be judgmental, yes, but I too, work in the service industry and am a supervisor in a semi-fine dining restaurant. So trust me, I get it.
