This is usually my go-to Halal Guys for lunch on a workday. It’s exactly the same as the original Halal Guys on Ave of Americas but I feel like they give you more food(both more meats and rice). You can’t go wrong with the mixed gyro and chicken over rice with tons of white sauce and a drizzle of hot sauce. The guys working are slower than the workers at the original Halal Guys cart so expect for a small like to cue up around lunch time.

THEYTRIEDTOSTEALMYMONEY! January 10, 20162:30AM Sunday early morning I was hungry so I went by to eat here and I ordered 2 rice bowl dishes = $ 14 I gave the dude a $ 50 bill and he gives me back $ 35 and expects me to walk away. I stood there confused for a good 10 seconds and I said, «what, you don’t have any singles?» And he finally says«how much I give you.» I said«$ 35…(He obviously knows how much he gave me)» and he just said«no soda?» And I said no… And he finally hands over the other dollar… I was going to tip him a dollar anyways since it sucks working at 2 in the morning but that just pissed me off. Otherwise great food

When I’m visiting MoMA, I look forward to being fed by the Halal Guys afterwards. I think their food is great and it’s only like 5 or 7 bucks. Don’t be put off by the long line — it moves really quickly. I think some of the people here, that are complaining, are either 1) familiar with them before they became so big and popular and are therefore reminiscing on service from them in the past or 2) are expecting fine dining. It’s street food, fast food and it’s popular — therefore don’t expect to put in a custom order and complain about it if they haven’t taken care of your special needs… there is probably a line of 30 people behind you hating on you for that. If you want special treatment, there are plenty of other street carts or restaurants in the area.

Amazing food. Must go if you’re in New York City Make sure you try the chicken and rice with white sauce and if you like hot sauce go for it

As The Halal Guys is now a franchise, this is in theory the same exact food you can can get at the original location a block away, just without the ridiculous line. I’ve had better, but this is good solid, cheap food cart food and you can’t really go wrong(unless you put on way too much white sauce, as I’ve done)

Their getting too big for their britches. Customer service is nonexistent. I asked for the lamb to be put on the grill to be well done. He handed me a regular plate saying its well done. I told them I wanted it grilled more. They then said they don’t need my biz there too busy. Don’t bother with these jerks.

Essentially a staple of every New Yorker’s week, because of it’s cheap hearty food that could probably feed 2 people. You can usually differentiate the original cart from the others by the amount of people lining up. That being said, any other halal cart here tastes the same without the line. So if you’re not in the mood for waiting, just go for a different halal cart close-by.
