Love love love this place! Amazing breakfast sandwhiches, great selection of fresh soups for lunch, delicious salads. The staff there is so lovely – always kind, smiling, and go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. I almost feel like I’m no longer in NY when I’m in there – and I mean that in a good way!

Great find in Chelsea. I love small places like this to sit and have coffee and a light lunch. I had the Soup and sandwich combo(mulligatawny and grilled chicken on ciabatta). Both were outstanding. Service was fast despite the small space this shop has. We sat at the window counter and watched NY go by. Free wifi a plus.

The coffee here is so good and the people here are so nice. Come here, read the paper or catch up on your emails(they do have wifi!). Occasionally distract yourself by people watching out the street facing windows. Perfect.

One of my favorite cafes in the city. The staff are always friendly, particularly the nice French lady(owner? manager?) who brings out the sandwiches. The avocado and egg salad on croissant is fantastic. Round it out with a rugelach and a large coffee and you have my perfect Telegraphe breakfast.

Breakfast is usually the biggest ripoff of the day in this town but not here. This place is a serious value. I ordered the egg and vegetable sandwich on a multigrain roll($ 5.35) The sandwich was substantially sized, much larger than I expected on a ‘roll’. I requested egg whites for an additional charge of $.40. I am used to getting slapped with a $ 2-$ 3 charge but was ecstatic to see how reasonable it was here. I will be a regular here. The espresso smelled amazing! This place is FAMILY owned I noticed online. The couple that owns it I believe are working behind the counter. Blow off Starbucks and try this place. You will not be disappointed!

Interesting find definitely just walking on the streets of NY. We were heading down to Bluestone coffee and just happen to see the sign for a café. Since none of us have tried this new place, it was inevitable. We wanted a place with seating and good coffee and there it was. 2 lattes, 1 moccachino, 1 capuccino and 30 minutes of cheek bone hurting laughters, we were out of there with happy tummy and memories. It’s small but has window bar stools and enough seating for about 12 people roughly. The drinks are extra hot so becareful not to drink them right away. We did not try the food but there were many who came there to eat simple and casual brunch. It’s kid friendly since it has sit down tables.

I love this place. I always come here during my break. It’s so quiet and cozy. The food is so good. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with sourdough bread. Usually I get it with the Russian onion bread.

nice cozy café, stopped by to grab breakfast in a rainy day, good alternative to Starbucks or things like that. Had a cup of breakfast tea and a yogurt granola parfait, which is just about right, not too much granola and not too big. only downside is it’s a bit too sweet, I prob should have had Greek yogurt instead.

On our way back from some early-morning grocery shopping, we swung by Telegraphe to grab a casual morning bite. It wasn’t too busy in the middle of Saturday morning, making it easy for us to grab a bar seat at the counter facing outwards(you can also sit at a couple of the tables further in as well). Telegraphe has an inconspicuous entrance, but once you are inside, it still feels cozy but has a high ceiling and chill music playing in the background — a very nice vibe overall. The folks at the counter are quite friendly in taking the order, and everything is made fresh, as evidenced by the fact I was surprised we had to wait around 5 minutes for our breakfast sandwiches to be done. The menu isn’t anything super-fancy, but it’s very casual food done at a very respectable price given what things sometimes cost. My wife’s avocado and egg sandwich was nice and light, with a very creamy texture and a slice of tomato to help cut through each bite. The egg salad could have had a dash more flavor, but overall, I really enjoyed the combination of the two. I went with the smoked salmon, egg and cheese sandwich, and I really thought this was a winner overall. The salmon is pretty good-quality stuff — not the schlock you’ll see festooned onto a bagel at a corner deli — and the egg is freshly cooked as well. I ended up going with mozzarella on the sandwich(which was a ciabatta roll) because I’m not a big Swiss fan, but I do feel that the cheese is perhaps the weak link — it was a bit too rubbery for mozzarella, suggesting it wasn’t the freshest, and I also felt that there were really tiny pieces laid on the bread. Next time, I’d probably go with Brie. In all, though, Telegraphe is a nice little spot just off of 6th Avenue to grab a casual morning bite. As it’s not far away from where I live now, and the price being quite reasonable, I will almost certainly swing by again to check out more of their breakfast sandwiches!

Nice atmosphere, chilled staff and music, excellent vegetarian goat cheese sandwich on pumpernickel, just the cappuccino was a bit on the dull side…

Wonderful spot. Everything on the menu is fresh and thoughtfully prepared with flavorful ingredients. I recommend this café for either eating in or taking to go. Beyond the food, I absolutely adore the woman who runs the shop and have had great experiences with the staff that she trains.

Gone here a couple times when I’ve had interviews in the city. Great chocolate dipped macaroons, scones. Get a chai tea latte, they’re absolutely the best I’ve had. Employees are always pleasant. I’ve come here a couple times as I waited to go on an interview. Nice to relax and not stress. Good wifi too! Not a lot of space but I’ve seen it get super busy around lunch and it wasn’t so bad around other times.

Trooped down 3 avenues and a few streets just to try their highly rated chai latte. I’m usually not a fan of chai latte because of the spices but Telegraph Café sure knows how to make it just right. The vanilla chai latte is creamy, not too sweet, a just a hint of the spices. Love love love it! The shop itself is adorable and comfortable, will probably bring some work to do here next time!

Fantastic food! I had the prosciutto salad for lunch one day and the chilled gazpacho the next. Both were perfect portions, tasty and very fast service. The folks that work there are super friendly and, if they aren’t sure of an answer, they ask someone who does(love that)!. Small space(I ate alone both times, so I didn’t mind the nice window bar seating that faced the street… great natural light and enough space where you aren’t elbow to elbow with your neighbor), but there is table seating. It’s NYC… Oh, forgot… TOTALLYAFFORDABLE!

Had their caprese prosciutto salad in their full size and their vanilla chai latte. The salad was great, I just wish the prosciutto was easier to break because I wanted it to last throughout my salad. There was so much mozzarella, which is good too! I wanted to try their chai latte because I heard such good things. I asked for a recommendation and ordered the vanilla, it was good but maybe not my favorite. I will definitely try the other chai lattes.

Somehow I got back into getting iced-almond-milk-caramel-lattes as treats in the afternoons around work on occasion. And Telegraph does it right! So good, the perfect balance of sweet and coffee. Plus they offer halves of all of their sandwiches and salads and soups and that’s perfect for me!

A wee little café just around the corner from the Container Store. There are tables to sit at, and a bathroom that has its own foyer, which is strange, given the amount of space available in the city. Perhaps that foyer could be turned into more table space? Coffee here is pretty good, and local cafes vs. chain coffee shops are always preferable. Service here was on point as well. Both baristas were like competing to take the order with a smile and ended up working on the order together. Well done all around!

A wonderful surprise in an unlikely location! I stumbled in here in search of a coffee to keep me moving through shopping in the Flatiron. I walked away discovering a wonderful, friendly café filled with an outstandingly kind staff as well as delicious meal options to pair with their wonderful coffee. If you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping in!

I know my lady thoroughly enjoys the chai latte(let’s get that out of the way), I fell for the tuna salad sandwich at a time when tuna salad was not my thing. And also the tuna fish was oniony, another ingredient I didn’t care for before, now(I’m growing up) and enjoy it all. Here they put black(and green?) olives, sun dried tomatoes, mixed greens, tomato, and drizzle balsamic vinegar on the filling. I usually had it on multi grain bread, today I have it on a roll of the same variety. The ish is still good after all these years. Moccacino described as double espresso with hot chocolate milk. Very tasty woof I dig it. Doesn’t taste like chocolate syrup coffee, good stuff. The chocolate chip cookie that helped seal its fate by being awesome in the air, yes it smelled that good, had a buttery crunch to it. Reminded me of a butter cookie with chocolate chips, enjoyable but missing something. As a comparison I prefer Tate’s gluten free chocolate chip cookies.($ 4.99/bag at bed bath and beyond) or even Trader Joe’s gluten free chocolate chip cookie. Not sure if the thickness had anything to do with it as the bag variety are thinner and gluten free. I do enjoy Levain bakery’s chocolate chip cookies and those mother fathers are grande. The interior is cosy and its cool the place is off the avenue. Simplicity at its best. Check them out.
