This is a really great place. I went here on a Tuesday night for a first date. I rarely give 5 star reviews. 1) Good selection of beer, drinks and specialty cocktails at very reasonable prices(about $ 12 — $ 13 per cocktail, which is a good price for a nice place). 2) Quiet enough that we could hear each other speak with good background music(I think it was 80s). 3) Enough comfortable seating for two. 4) Clean bathrooms, 5) Dark, but not too dark atmosphere. Overall a great date place or quiet place for drinks with friends.

Met some old friends on a trip to NYC. Picked this place based on Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. My only negative is that it was loud, but on a Friday night before Christmas week, that’s to be expected. Beer selection was awesome(we all loved the black IPA, which I didn’t know existed), the martini was perfectly made(Tito’s), and the flatbreads and beet salad were great. Would definitely return. Nice ambiance, lighting, even the bathrooms were notable for cleanliness and having some fun things to look at. And last but not least, the waitress, on a busy night, was attentive and friendly, bringing us over an extra chair and handling an order change without question. Highly recommend for drinks with friends or a date. I would go back often if I didn’t live 3000 miles away.

Disgusting… this place is horrible. And then some. I used the restroom and there was a guy taking a sh$÷ in the urinal!!! I imidataly complained to the bartenders and they did nothing. They let him stay and when I asked why he isn’t being kicked out the«bartender«had a lame ass excuse. I’m sorry but I I own a bar and this happened I’d fire all the idiots that work there and find a real staff. AREYOUKIDDINGME, POOPONTHEURINALANDNOTHINGHAPPENS. SHAMEONYOU

Wanted to try this place since I moved in the neighborhood. The bar was as good as any other here in midtown. The bartender was not the most welcoming. I never saw her smile! Not the best 1st impression!

Great option for post-dinner drinks on a Saturday night because it wasn’t too loud or crowded despite a desirable vibe that seems like it should attract a crowd. Our server was super patient with all our requests and went out of his way to accomodate and make us feel comfortable. The craft beer selection was pretty extensive, which made me happy.

Really cute bar/tavern in Midtown. We loved the décor, ambiance and the fact that you could actually have a conversation in there without shouting over loud music. Loved the photos of different Teds on the wall! Drinks were delicious — we had pumpkin beer that came with cinnamon & sugar on the rim of the glass! Another round please! Special thank you to Kristen for being so patient with my indecisiveness on what to drink that evening. Food was good — would definitely recommend the mac & cheese. Service was EXCELLENT across the board — wanted to give a special shout out to Danny, Kayley and Kristen. Would highly recommend stopping in here if you’re in the neighborhood!

The atmosphere is as important as what drinks they have, I think. The atmosphere of this small corner store impressed me a lot. They have a bar, which is good for friends. And they also have tables, with flickering candles, that make it comfortable, even romantic, to chat with your sweethearts. The cocktail is delicious. And the beer menu is impressive as well. Highly recommend the Sri Lanka beer, which is marked as LKA beer.

Nice little place. They have a great list of beer. We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t crowded here, but after 8 p.m. people started to come. We had a good service and our waiter was awesome, by the way he was at the same time as a bartender. He let my friend try a small sample of the beer before ordering. We ordered a few drinks and appetizers for share. The food was good. I like this place for its drinks and décor, because first things I chosen this place was an interior.

This was my favourite bar in New York by far. They have the most amazing bar tenders Brittany, Chris and Kristin, who make the best cocktails in New York City. I always came here for their signature Espresso Martini that I would definitely recommend to everyone. They also have a wide selection of craft beers and the food is fantastic. Great place to go for a nice quiet drink, attracts a great crowd and easy to meet new people.

Nice little spot. Awesome Mac & cheese and I liked the bratwurst as well. They have a great beer list. We went on a Wednesday night and it wasn’t too crowded here. I think the prices are reasonable for Manhattan. The ambiance is nice as it is dark and could probably be noisy if it’s really crowded. We had good service and our waitress was awesome. She let us try a small sample of the beer before ordering. The only bad thing was that they were out of pumpkin ale.

Love this place for its drinks and décor. Go here for a romantic evening around your area. I come here often because it’s conveniently around the corner. They have lots of sweet girly cocktails– my favorites are the lavender pineapple varieties. Random small free salted nuts come with your orders. Drinks are $ 8 – 14. They play awesome 80s music!

I remember when this places used to be a hole-in-the-wall bar. It did have its benefits… However the change to teds corner was incredible. It still has a similar layout. But the management and the drinks are great. I got small apps and drinks here twice and I was very surprised but the attentiveness of the waitress and actually the quality of the food. Mind you is a bar, offer great flatbreads and hummus which I will get again. It’s a great bar to go on a casual date as well as a night out with a friend. I would recommend trying it out.

Not sure of Ted’s target audience. Loud, pricey, and pushy. Not sure of Ted’s target audience, especially as it’s darn near impossible to hear a carefully planned pickup line short of all-out shouting. That rules out culture. Drinks are $ 16ish. That rules out recent grads. Orders of non-alcoholic ginger beer are switched to a more expensive(albeit excellent) hard variety. That rules out designated drivers. Wonder how this place operates during sunlight hours?

For a change of pace from my normal evening stop on Third Avenue, I decided to try out Ted’s Corner Tavern(at the corner of 35th and Third Avenue) and I was pleasantly surprised. Upon walking in, I was surprised at the size of the place. It was smaller than some of my other stops in NYC, but it was not cramped; it was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The bar has a theme too(which I had to ask about because I wasn’t sure) — apparently all the pictures in the place are of different«famous»(or in some cases — infamous) individuals named Ted. What I noticed right after that was the wide selection from over 30 craft beers on tap. While looking those over, I took a menu and saw that there were nearly another three dozen bottled beers available to choose from as well. I asked for the Bronx Pale Ale but they had just run out. I asked if they would tap a new keg(as I was willing to wait) and the bartender explained that once they finish up one brand, they rotate in another. She explained that was part of the practice there — to have as many different varieties available. I found that practice surprising as they already had about 30 plus taps open on the wall. Apparently that was about half of the over 60 total brands that they tap(so that’s 30 active and a rotation in of another 30). I decided on the American Pale Ale which I found to have a nice, sharp, and robust taste to it. I’m not a wine drinker, but I noticed a number of Red and White selections available. I ordered the Eleni’s Meatball Pita sandwich. It arrived fairly quickly and was surprisingly filling(it looked smallish to me, but I was not hungry by the time I was done with it). The seats at the bar have a power strip right below the rail(smart, for those smart phone users that are always draining out their devices). The cost is moderate for Manhattan in the«just right» zone. You’re not going to spend an outrageous amount of money but you’re not going to find bargain prices either. It is definitely worth the price for the food and the service.

I was in New York for work last week and looked for a bar that had dinner and drinks. Ted’S Corner fit the bill so I checked it out. It was packed when I walked in as there was a corporate event wrapping up. The bartender wasn’t super friendly or talkative which didn’t give me a great vibe off the bat. If I just stuck with beer I would have given Ted’s a higher rating as the beer selection is great. I got the sampler to begin with. You could choose any four beers. I ordered the Truffle Cheddar Pretzel and it was good but the spicy cheddar sauce made it. I was disappointed in the dip trio though as none of the selections were very flavorful. Come for the great beer selection.

Randomly end up with a friend of mine at Ted’s as we were trying to gather all of us together on Thursday night. We ordered beer and appetizers for starters and asked the waitress to leave menus with us as we were planning to hang out for drinks and tapas and meet with other friends. I picked one of the appetizer platters as it had Halloumi cheese(my fave), olives, Greek salad & sausage. Each one of these little appetizers is ½ cup size which is just to pick something while you have your drinks. It reminded me of Europe Do not expect typical bar appetizers that you will usually find in an American bar. Think of Ted’s appetizers as you hang out in the Mediterranean I would compare it to Spanish siesta where you hop from bar to bar and you are offered little tapas while you have drinks. The only difference is tapas in Spain are free during siesta as long as you order drinks while at Ted’s tapas are pricey along with drinks. The waitress was overwhelmingly attentive to the point it got annoying. She constantly kept interrupting our conversation. We weren’t clear if she was trying to be pushy to get in orders quickly or push us to leave. After another interruption from the waitress we were considering to leave but my friend insisted to order wine & lamb chops. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection. We just wanted to have drinks and enjoy ourselves but at the end we suggested to our friends that we were waiting to join us to meet elsewhere instead of staying at Ted’s. We paid and went to Pod 39 Rooftop to continue our conversation & have drinks! Here is how I’ll rate my Ted’s experience: 1.I’m giving Ted’s 5 stars for interior as it can be attractive for female patrons. It’s nice to see that there are no TV’s and forces people to converse with each other but it’s kind of dark for a bar. Little candle lights on tables brings lounge vibe. Interesting interior concept that can be versatile to attract diverse clientele. 2. Food preparation 4 stars 3. Food presentation 3 stars. 4. Service 2 stars staff should be able to assess who is there to have drinks and can afford to pay without being too pushy. It is nice to see different approach between bar & lounge setting. It seems that there is good intention and investment in Ted’s. It will be great to see improvement in service & menu to compliment wine & beer selection.

Killed some time here Sunday. Great beer selection, bartender let me sample a couple before committing, love the Ted theme, from Ted Knight to Teddy Roosevelt. Nice ambiance, nice woody décor, the mac and cheese was excellent. Worth a visit.

I used to come here when it was 5th and long… they did a great job with the remodeling and removing the tvs. Its much better now! They have pictures hanging up of famous ted’s– nice touch. Great setting to come for drinks and just hang out. They have a lot of craft beers on tap as well as a few specialty drinks. They have booths and a couch in the back to hang out. Not the typical murray hill bar, which is nice and attracts an older crowd.

Ted’s was a really nice surprise! Quiet, intimate, and full of pictures of anything — not just anyone — that bears the name Ted. A group of us wanted to take our shenanigans to a quieter place, and Ted’s was perfect. The service was excellent, and so were the drinks. I tried their hot cider which was super yummy. Among the framed pictures of Teds(ie., Theodore Roosevelt) on the wall, we were all struck by a random picture of a fat hamster. «It’s a teddy hamster,» explained our server. Touché. The bathrooms were also really nice. I’d definitely come back.

Exciting new addition to the ever dull murray hill! Have been twice since they opened and will continue to come back. Spacious room with a trendy, but cozy, feel. I love all the black and white photos on the walls and the velvet chairs are super comfy. Haven’t tried the food yet but the tapas menu looks tasty and is moderately priced. I don’t think its been«discovered» quite yet which means there is always room to sit(and which makes me question why I’m writing this review) They do games and $ 5 whiskey on tuesdays!
