If you are looking for an amazing atmosphere, great drinks, happy staff, and delicious FRENCHCUISINE … This is def the place to go. They’re open till midnight so that’s good when you end up having a later day than expected and the food is so so nice. This’ll be a staple of mine for sure!

Came in on a Friday night and somewhat surprisingly found the place more than half empty. The food was definitely very good: we had the lamb meatballs(creative and delicious), salmon sliders(good but not great), truffle gnocchi(very good, hearty) and eggplant(small but very tasteful) However, only 3 stars because of the poor, slow service. As mentioned, the restaurant was only half full, and still it took forever to get our 2nd glass of wine, we had to beckon our waiter in order to ask for a dessert menu, and then again to actually order the dessert! For a restaurant with their price levels(which are definitely pretty steep), this is not acceptable in my mind.

French tapas! What a great idea. The cheeseburger sliders were a standout. So was our friendly and adorable waiter(thank you Jonathan).

I went with my husband on a Saturday night. The service was friendly and my husband enjoyed his wine and steak however I was very disappointed with my dish. I ordered the gnocchi and honestly looking back, I should have sent it back. The sauce was tasteless, the gnocchi were a very poor quality and there was not a hint of truffle in the dish. I could have made something much better at home. I think the next time we in the area we will try somewhere else.

I had dinner here last night with 3 friends, one of which is visiting from another country. The food was excellent. We tried a variety of foods and we particularly loved the duck special with wild mushrooms and rice. It was the best duck we’ve ever had. The fried polenta balls were delicious, with a little twist of Georgian cuisine(the walnut sauce). We also had the pear flatbread which was perfectly cheesy and not too sweet. We will definitely be going back!

I came here recently and it was the most chic champagne bar I’ve been to in NYC and LA. The options for champagne are endless and high quality. The food comes in small servings similar to tapas style and it was so delicious, the truffle fries were amazing. The ambiance was like a scene out of Devil Wears Prada or Sex and the City. The service was probably the best part, the servers were quick and attentive and they were able to make great suggestions for my friends and I. Definitely coming back here, so glad I discovered this place!

Set in a charming building just east of Broadway, this wonderful restaurant has a great selection of meat and seafood. I had the popcorn chicken appetizer with three sauces followed by the steak frites. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped select the right Burgundy wine. We finished with a cognac. Great place for couples, or for entertaining business colleagues(as I did).

Had dinner Friday night at Tamu Lola with my wife and a couple friends from out of town. Everything was really exceptional. We started out with a few appetizers, including the cheesy polenta balls that were out of this world, the lamb meatballs with a slightly spicy, garlicy sauce that I can confidently say was one of the best sauces I’ve ever had(we asked for more bread to use to get at the last of the sauce!) and the burrata, which was fresh and all around wonderful. The four of us each had a different entrée(burger, salmon, gnocchi and chicken) and we all tried a bit of every dish. I was blown away by all of the dishes. All the meats were cooked just right and the gnocchi was the perfect texture. The parmesan fries on the side of the burger were transcendental. Atmosphere was lovely, with a nice modern interior and good jazz music in the background. The staff was very attentive and friendly and rounded out an all-around excellent evening. As a New Yorker, I thought Tamu Lola could go toe-to-toe with just about any restaurant in the City. My friends from out of town raved about the experience as well. I’m not normally this effusive, but the experience was really that great and I can’t wait to go back!

Really enjoyed dinner at this new place(European eclectic?) right next to Gramercy Tavern after going with my husband and two friends from out of town on a Friday evening. We were starving and had a good sampling of apps and entrees(between us a burger, Cornish game hen, roasted salmon, and delicious mushroom gnocchi) — the burrata appetizer was a standout though! Wine list small but varied and I had a great and affordable Chenin blanc, friends had cocktails. Also notably good service. Will go again — we didn’t get to try nearly as many of the small plates as we wanted to…

This was my first visit. Great ambiance. Intimate but not crowded. We started with the polenta balls and truffle fries. Both really nice. I had truffle gnocchi and my friend had the salmon. The gnocchi was delicious and my friend really enjoyed the salmon. The wine list is small but interesting. We had a nice Malbec that was perfect for both of our meals. This is my new go-to place when I’m around Union Square!

This place became my go to place when I am in gramercy. It used to be a bar called«flute», and this new place is an improvement with a nice design and great food. My favorites are the polenta balls and the truffle fries. I also really liked the white and truffle flat breads and the meatballs.

This unexpected French fusion treasure is really exceptional. With some fun acid jazz rolling in the background the atmosphere is easy and inviting. The gnocchi is flavorful and compelling. A great find!
