I didn’t find their selection of champagne to be that great, and the food is awful. But that’s the least of your worries here. We ended up staying here for 2 rounds of champagne, and were very clear on what we wanted to order and what we were drinking — however when the final bill came we were charged for the completely wrong things, an extra 50 dollars on the bill. When we contested they were insistent that the bill was correct but finally reluctantly agreed to adjust the bill. Friends who had a separate bill also had the same issue. Shame because the place is actually set up to be a pretty nice lounge.

No. Staff is the only reason this doesn’t have a one star review. We were there last night with a party of eight. We were one of the only tables in the restaurant. They brought out our food separately over the course of 30 minutes, even though we ordered together. So everyone had to wait to eat. Horrible planning by the kitchen. The sliders are literally bread with a meatball inside. To the chef/owner — you are not fooling anyone with these and should be ashamed to serve it and call them sliders. We all know you bought a bag of 40 meatballs from Costco for $ 10, and are now charging $ 18 for 3 mini meatballs on a roll. Just, no.

Over priced drinks $ 16& crappy food that’s over priced $ 19 for bar food. Uploaded the pictures. Ordered slider for $ 18.51& received 3 tini mini meatballs. I returned it had a hard time at first, but they gave me my money back. Friend had the popcorn corn chicken and she said it tasted like craps. The staff where great. Not their fault the owner set suck crappy standards. If you go, plan to spend a lot of money on drinks, but eat somewhere else.

Delicious Bellinis, friendly bartender, nice atmosphere. Sign outside advertised specials/Happy Hour, but there was no listing of what was included and the bartender did not offer up this information. $ 46 is pricey for 3 drinks, but they were delicious!

I was impressed by the service from Demani our waitress. Came in for my wife’s birthday tonight too start her celebration. Demani suggested a champagne for my wife which she absolutely loved! I gave 4 stars only because we didn’t try the food.

I came to Flute Gramercy for a cocktail/mixology class(this was organized by a third party company), and I really liked the atmosphere of the lounge/bar, as well as some light bites we ordered. Flute Bar has three locations in Manhattan, and you can rent out the place for private parties. The venue is pretty spacious with different sections of lounge area. The chairs are deceivingly uncomfortable, but other than that the set up is great. I tried the Truffle Frites, which is seasoned with Himalayan pink salt and white truffle oil and served with spicy ketchup. These frites are thick-cut potatoes so you can really taste the flavors. We also ordered one of the thin crust pizzas(I didn’t try), and everyone loved it.

The 4 stars are weighted more for the service — I reserved lounge space for a birthday party, and the event planner, Dacotah, was responsive, informative and flexible, esp. when details changed as we got closer to the event.(I filled out their online form & she got back to me the next day.) We were seated promptly when we arrived in a cozy nook that created a little privacy, which was nice. Our server was very friendly, checked in frequently, and was completely accommodating. Some cons: –Music wasn’t very audible in the nook & could’ve been more energetic –Drinks were pricey and nothing terribly special, BUT the menu is completely straightforward and accurate –Overall vibe of the place was a bit meh — a little sparsely populated, for being a Sat. night, but I prefer this vs. an obnoxiously loud & overly crowded place. Overall: Excellent for planning a cozy hang out with a med-sized group.

I have been many times and it gets worse. I will never ever ever ever go back. Did I say I will never go back? Stopped in with a couple friends after dinner and they had a private party in the back– we had a waitress we chased down forever to get drinks the first time– after over half and hour of chasing her down for drinks the second time– and even asking the manager nothing!!! I wanted to leave but my friends were more optimistic than I was. We ordered drinks with the check and still had to wait. The place was empty except the part in the back and even with that we could not figure out what she was doing. IT was a pitiful excuse for a NYC bar and no reason to have the doors open. It was that bad– not to mention the hideous outfits these girls wear.

What a fantastic evening I had with my husband last night at this chic establishment! The warm fire place going as soon as you walk in left no doubt in my mind that I would have a great time and I was right. A very special thanks to our server MARIA for being so attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be returning only if MARIA can take care of us again :)

This place is great. We had engagement drinks here and they were super accommodating. They don’t force you to buy a bottle or give you a hard time with the amount of people. We had like 40 ppl and a cash bar. They have really great snacks on a platter that are affordable. It’s a perfect venue for a party big or small and for a date night. Everyone there is super nice, was a great experience.

I wish I could give this place NO stars. My husband and I had to go back 3 times to actually get service here! The first time the place was fully staffed and still supposed to be open for another hour but the staff said that they were closing early because«no one had been there all day». We were there ready for service and would have saved ourselves time and a train ride if we had known the staff wanted to just leave early. Totally unprofessional. The second time the place was packed with people. We sat down and waited 15 minutes before anyone noticed we were there. After barely getting an acknowledgment from the staff we decided to leave. We couldn’t understand why after 20 minutes in a tiny location there were no staff visibly around except for the hostess at the front door. When we exited the premise we got our answer: the bartender and both servers were outside smoking. The staff had left a packed establishment unserviced. The bar was completely empty! During our third visit we were seated and the waitress came quickly — however this time we left because she refused our groupon. Yes it had expired — even though we had tried twice before to use it. But she wouldn’t even allow us to use the groupon for its value — which is groupon policy. She gave some ridiculous response to our confusion so we left. After all this I am no longer confused as to why a place with so much potential is doing so poorly. Maybe they should stop refusing to serve customers who clearly want to spend money at their establishment! There will NOT be a fourth visit!

I was apprehensive about going to this place because it’s a champagne bar in Gramercy. Not my style, not my crowd. BUT it was a friend’s going away party so I decided to make the trek after work and spend sometime with her. The place is cute. It’s a small lounge that is dimly lit. The booth benches are comfy with lots of pillows. You can have lots of groups in their own separate space, or stand around a la bar-style. The drinks are expensive but if you’re coming here for bubbly, you already know that. I had a few sips of my friend’s pomegranate margarita, I think it was, and it was really good. Tart and smooth. I give this place only two stars because of the hostess. I entered with the intention of going straight into the bar and she said«don’t you wanna check your coat?» I kindly responded, «No, I’ll keep it with me.» Then she looked me up and down and said«Are you sure? It’s hot back there and that’s… really big,» commenting on my parka, which is not a down winter jacket or anything. It was thin with a furry hood. I couldn’t believe she would look at me that way. So I said okay and left my coat. Then on the way out, she slowly returned my jacket to make sure she could get my attention. When I wasn’t making eye contact with her, she decided to point out, «this is where you can put tips!» WHAT? You coerce me into checking my coat in the rudest way possible, and then you have the tacky gall to point out where your tip jar is? Needless to say I didn’t tip her, but I didn’t plan on it from the beginning anyway.

I came here on a Living Social coupon. Totally not worth my time. The space is dimly lit with a red and black décor, comfortable for a date night. Staff is friendly. Sangria and cheese platter was blah defintely had better. Nothing on the menu caught my eye. I was semi interested in the 3 mini meatballs but quickly changed my mind when I read the price was $ 17! The couple 2 seats from us ordered them. They smelled delicious.

I will give this spot 2 stars for décor only. Imagine Neo-French style mixed with a 1920s prohibition style Speakeasy. The décor is beautiful and lit softly. The chairs and general louge seating is comfy. Service is AWFUL… Hot French guy served me and the group and kept forgetting everything. He also took forever with the drinks/food and never followed up. His only saving grace was that he could remember the names of everyone at the table it was kool but he was kinda like a hot trained monkey performing a trick. There was also a female server that couldn’t figure out how to get us a check, split the check or who our server was to help. Come on chick there are like 10 parties here at most and only a few servers. Figure it out… took us another hour to get a split bill for just 2 ppl.

You should eat dinner before coming here. There’s not much on the food menu, and what they serve is very small. It’s primarily a wine/champagne bar, so unless you’re planning a dinner of cheese and caviar, you might want to fill up elsewhere. The drinks are also kind of expensive. We came in for the live music, which was nice. The place has an urbane, sophisticated vibe that’s enjoyable, but like I say, don’t go there hungry.

Came here for a wine tasting event — it was okay, area was kind of small and the crowd that was attracted was nowhere near my generation — then again, I don’t drink alcohol, so I probably won’t be coming back again. Not sure if the wine provided was from Flute or not, however. I actually enjoyed the non-alcoholic sparkling soda made from flowers better(rose and something yellow).

A few friends and I stopped by for a birthday event at Flute Gramercy. The place is cozy and there’s enough space for a large group of people. Their drinks are decent, especially their champagne cocktails! It is a bit pricey but I wouldn’t mind coming back here again.

I’m not a big champagne person, but I’ve been here a few times due to my champagne connoisseur friends dragging me along to indulge in some bubbly. It’s a nice, loungey space and the staff has always been friendly, at least to me and my friends. Their selection of champagne is huge. Good cocktails, too. I just went recently and discovered that there’s a new chef in the kitchen with a totally new menu. I have to say that it’s a huge upgrade(not that the food was that bad before). It’s now more sophisticated, more visually appealing and definitely better tasting. I was also pleased to see that they have vegan options now(I’m a part time vegan {health reasons}, so I appreciate having these options) Dishes I liked: Vegan eggplant sliders(the walnut sauce is amazing) Crostini with fava beans, sauteed mushrooms and goat cheese. Salmon tartare with horseradish crème fraîche and Petrossian salmon caviar. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying out more stuff. Cheers. P. S.: To the reviewer below me, don’t worry, they still have the hamburger sliders. Personally, I think they’re even better now.

I’ve been here a few times and each time it’s been great. I love champagne… and a bar thusly dedicated to it! :) The ambiance is romantic and sweet, I want to come back with my husband. Great staff and great cocktails… LOVELOVELOVE.

Je suis déjà une fidèle amie de leur bar à Paris, et je n’étais pas déçu de visité celle de Gramercy. La bonne ambiance, tout ce qu’il faut pour passer des moments inoubliable autour d’une bouteille de champagne.
