This little burger joint, that does not look like a Berger joint, is great. Our sone who goes to school around the block introduced my husband an I to it. Quiet low key environment, simple menus, great burgers!!! And don’t forget the curly fries! I had the Swiss mushroom burger, yum!

I had the Firejack burger to go. The bread was soft, the patty tasted like meat but was slightly overcooked. There was a mixture of bbq sauce and mayonnaise which made it on the saucy side, but with the ample vegetables, banana peppers and spices they put on, it all came together with a nice kick. Id come back. The inside of the restaurant isnt all that nice — sort of looks like a diner.

I placed a pick-up order via Seamless on my way home from class one night, and it was a really simple process. I’d walked by this place plenty of times to and from school and had ordered from them in the past, but had never stopped by until now. The restaurant is small, but well-kept and brightly lit. It is also very well ventilated. Definitely not at all what I expected from a fast food restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised and would have dined in if I had known the atmosphere would be so nice. I love their fire rock burger, which I ordered the first time. It was super juicy and I really enjoyed the little kick from the jalapenos and the chipotle BBQ sauce. Honestly though, you really can’t go wrong with bacon and potato chips on a burger! I wanted to try something different the second time around and ordered the southwest burger. It was not as impressive, and the meat was a little dry. Still, it hit the spot and quelled my burger craving. I always enjoy a side of fries with my burgers, and I’ve ordered the curly fries from here both times. Nothing particularly special about their curly fries. Honestly, they probably come from a freezer bag. Fine by me though. I also love their buffalo chicken strips, although I usually eat it without the sauces. I ordered it at first because they have a $ 15 minimum for delivery, but I ordered it again because they are delicious! Even when cold. I only wish each order came with more pieces. $ 6 for 5 – 6 strips is kind of pricey. I really wish they had some sort of meal combo instead of requiring customers to order burgers and fries separately. Maybe I’ve missed it on their menu, but it would be a full 5 stars if they had that option!

I actually have had 2 very good meals here. But I wonder if the quality of the burger is what is being advertised, as the price point seems too low? I would give them a 3.5 stars based on my suspicion that there are some short cuts going on here. One reviewer pointed out that they think the burgers are frozen. That might also explain why everything is served medium to well done.

I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness I found here. I ordered the classic burger, which came with great sauce and real cheddar. It was a great burger, grass fed beef makes a difference I guess. My companions said the spicy garlic wings were good, and the Mac n cheese was very cheesy, if you like cheesy mac. Also had the sweet potato fries, which I devoured. Serve yourself chipotle mayo, which I totally took advantage of. And the guy behind the counter was very nice! Accommodated our big family graciously. Definitely will return.

An above average burger joint with organic free range ethically handled ingredients with great price points considering it’s in the city. We got the Tallgrass burger which is: Cheddar cheese, onion ring, avocado and horseradish-mustard sauce on hand-pressed, grass fed beef grilled medium well. Served with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and pickles. And the All American Burger: Bacon and American cheese on hand-pressed, grass fed beef grilled medium well. Served with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and pickles. Grilled the way we want it and you have an option of patty size. The wings were average and nothing to rave about. Overall it’s a decent spot and service is ok. We ended up not getting the wings(ordered as an appetizer) with our order and got it after we already finished the burgers. All in all looking forward to trying their other burger options and a clutch go to spot when in NYC and especially in the area. Note: Halal

A great halal option if you are in the area. My favorite menu items are the salads, but the burgers are pretty good as well. The Cobb Salad and Asian Chicken Salad are my favs and definitely worth checking out. I’ve ordered from here pretty regularly and the food had been very consistent. Also a very friendly staff. Word of caution for halal eaters: some of the salads have bacon bits in them so make sure you either ask for turkey bacon as a replacement or for none at all.

Great Quality meat and toppings(HALAL!!) I had a great time for the second time so had to write a review! I had the Tallgrass burger with ½ lb patty and my friend had 1⁄3 lb knockout burger. The burgers are BIG so skip the fries and wings or share it with someone. Overall, I would definitely stop by next time I am in the area specially for the knockout burger. P. S. Please let them know if you eat Halal so they can switch from regular bacon to turkey bacon.

Everytime I come here it never fails to amaze. I get the«Tallgrass» and it has been incredible every time. Staff has always been very friendly with everything. He even asked us himself if we were ‘halal’ eaters to make sure the bacon would be halal turkey and not pork. The sauce. Wow!

This place is a disgrace to burgers. I’m a strict halal eater but a real foodie so I love to go to the city and try all the nice places that offer halal. I ordered the«All American» burger, which had the beef patty, American cheese, and turkey bacon. The food came out in less than 5 minutes, which surprised me, usually it takes a while to make burgers, but when I took the first bite, I could already tell the beef patty was a frozen one that had been heated up(NOT fresh, note on their«grass fed beef» signs they never say their beef is fresh), the patty was abnormally much hotter than the rest of the burger. The turkey bacon inside was not nice and crispy as bacon should be, it was more chewy. Overall, the burger was horrible and ruined my mood overall(I’m a huge burger fanatic), but if you don’t mind a fast-food style burger for the overcharged price of $ 7.50, be my guest.

Decided to stop by after a long day with a few friends and family. Place is small but has enough seats to accommodate everyone staying and picking up orders too. The staff was very kind and informative even though we got there near its closing time(11pm on a Wed). We ordered a bunch of the burgers and I got the south west burger with .5lb Kobe beef. Was filling and pretty big. Totaled out to be $ 17 or so for one burger, curly fries and a soda. The burgers were great. Very heavy and the southwest was flavorful and filling. Order the ½ lb! You will not regret it. The fries were okay, but that’s probably cause I was too full to finish it after the burger. Would come back again for sure.

I always order their chicken burger. So juicy and cooked to perfection. Goes well with my curly fries while eating them in the middle of the night. I work the night shift, so it’s an occasional treat when I have to work weekends.

Great local burger spot. Think I’ve had close to everything on the menu, favorites are the Tallgrass burger and Southwest burger. Outside of burgers the buffalo chicken sandwich is good as well although I don’t think you can go wrong no matter what you choose. This is a staple for weekend quick meals.

This place is next block from my work. I order from them 5 days a week for about 3 years. I love their salads and Malibu burger! They use only organic stuff and it’s always fresh. Fast delivery, 10 min. I only can say good things and thank you guys!!!

I’m not sure why the reviews are so bad, but I had a great experience. I went in earlier today because I’ve been wanting to try this place and I ordered a turkey burger with seasoned curly fries. This was the best turkey burger I’ve ever had! It was so juicy and the mushrooms & sautéed onions complemented the burger very well.

Ah Tallgrass Burger, how do I rate thee? I just needed a quick bite, so I ordered a turkey burger and got a beer to enjoy while I waited. The bright lights and seating reminded me of any fast food restaurant. To bide the time I sat near the front window and watched the endless parade of characters walking down First Avenue. The polite gentleman taking orders announced my burger was ready and I was glad to take it back to my apartment. I’m happy to report it did not disappoint. I noticed a constant stream of take out calls while I waited. I think that’s their primary business, but walking in and ordering the old fashioned way worked for me.

Recommend by a bartender from a bar near by we decided to grab a burger here. Wish the restaurant was cleaner. The burger was good. Nothing to go out of your way for. If you’re in the area and need a quick and affordable non fast food style burger then could be worth checking out.

My sisters and I were craving burgers and fries and so we ordered from here for delivery off . I ordered the Southwest burger(no onions), cooked medium, and my sister ordered the Tallgrass burger(no onions) on a whole wheat bun. We threw in a dozen chicken wings for good measure(the middle sister doesn’t eat meat-we may not even be related), onion rings, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. Everything was spot on. The delivery man was at our door in 20 minutes flat, and everything was perfect. The burgers were moist and delicious and there wasn’t a raw onion in sight. The wings were crispy, hot and fresh, and the fries were equally awesome. We polished off every bite and not a single complaint. Definitely one for a repeat performance.
