It’s closed now. Not sure why I’m reviewing other than the soy sauce was BOMB. I believe they made it themselves and packaged them up in these nice little plastic bottles. I will say that their salmon was always good. It was just SO slow… and there were 20 people working here. Made no sense. They had pre-made boxes in the front — which never had what you wanted — or you could order your own. Guess it makes sense why they are gone. RIP

I work in the area and was super excited when I heard that a sushi place was opening nearby. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. I have only been there for lunch, but I am not impressed. I find the sushi to be overpriced, not fresh, and the quality of any local foodstore. There really is no flavor to anything that I have tried. They built out the space beautifully and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I really think that the space has the potential to be great, but that would require seriously stepping up the quality and make of their sushi. I hope to see some changes since it is still a relatively new spot. I plan to try it again and hopefully have a different perspective.

This new sushi shop is a little pricy but serve sushi with great quality. I love their tuna roll definitely! It’s smooth and you can feel the fresh! Plus it’s nice to dine in such a great place! Will come moe often with friends!

Well prepared, fresh, and creative sushi and sashimi. Fair prices, good service, and a laid back atmosphere.

Find another sushi joint. This place is overpriced for their takeout and I had a funky piece of fish that I spit out for fear of getting food poisoning! Edamame was tasteless and they call a few strands of ice berg lettuce a salad. Just because décor And packaging of sushi is nice does not mean that the sushi is great!

I never actually set foot in this Sushi Shop, but one afternoon when I was chained to my desk for hours of conference calls, my coworkers brought me a box of sushi so I didn’t have to gnaw my arm off. As I understand it, I wasn’t missing out ambiance-wise, as Sushi Shop is all about the grab and go. Each box comes perfectly packaged with everything you need in its own little container or packet: sushi, wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, what I thought was soy sauce but was actually some sort of teriyaki sauce. They should label this ish. A very cute setup. Personally though, I prefer ‘fresh’ to ‘cute’ when it comes to sushi, and the spicy tuna was pretty funky… but everything else was decent enough. The lesson here is probably to never, ever get spicy tuna, as they always use the worst fish.

So bad it’s funny. Except is not because you just spent money on really bad sushi. Overpriced, extremely mediocre food. Would not recommend.

Expensive, flavorless and rubbery sushi, limited choices, and wait staff that are all over you the minute you walk in. With better options just a few blocks away, there is no reason to go here.

I had lunchbox B and it was pretty good and definitely fresh. Decent lunch option. I will be back. EDITED: Went again. $ 1 for an extra ginger? Seriously?

The equivalent of getting sushi at the grocery store. Not fresh. Haru is right nearby. Why pay Haru prices for path mark quality? Service was good. Ambiance is nice.

For a grab and go sushi spot in a part of town where fast lunch is the name of the game, Sushi Shop does it up right. For starters, their staff are all super friendly. Even though some kinks need to be worked out with the ordering protocol, they were never flustered. There’s a small learning curve for figuring out how to order, but they’re more than willing to show you the ropes. There are several pre-packaged options to choose from. I went with the«B» which consisted of edamame, salmon avocado rolls, tuna avocado rolls, salmon maki rolls, and salmon over rice. It’s $ 12.95 pre-tax($ 14.10 after tax) and comes with a free side as well(soup or two different rice dishes). It’s a lot of sushi for not a lot of cash. The value is pretty remarkable. You can also order your food ahead of time and pick up from a separate line altogether. If you’re really in a hurry, it’s possible to get in and out in under two minutes. It’s no Jiro Dreams of Sushi, but for a quick fix you’ll be stoked.
