Nice coffee shop. Good place to run in and grab a cup or to sit and do some work. Not a ton of options, but enough for me. Chai tea was good. Plenty of seating– barstool a in the window, small personal tables, larger group tables. Nice and friendly staff.

The coffee was really good and strong. I got a red eye and it was exactly what I needed. It could have been warmer(I take it black) but I still enjoyed my cup. I really wish I got a grab-and-go item or one of the counter desserts. They looked so insanely good. They were also huge. Pieces of pound cake and various other confections the size of small cakes. Next time.

A really great place to get some work done. In the back there is a giant wooden table with many chairs that you can sit at and do work. Over the table there is a skylight(large window on the ceiling) that probably lets some sun in on a sunny day(was cloudy when I was there.) Free, fast wifi. Price and quality of the coffee seems more or less like Starbucks. Maybe a little better than Starbucks quality-wise.

Friend: «Gabby, you’re such a hipster.» Me: «Uh…no I’m not.» Friend: «That’s what all the hipsters say, esp. the ones who drink Gregory’s Coffee.» But no, seriously, I’m not a hipster. I’m just a college student who loves trying new foods. Gregory’s Coffee has been in my bookmarks for awhile and it’s like a block away from where I go to school, so why the heck not? I’ve noticed that it’s been slowly extending its reaches throughout Manhattan and may be the Starbuck’s next formidable foe in the long run. This is also a refreshing sight from all the Starbucks that keeps popping up, block after block. Walked in around 8AM in the morning to the wonderful smells of roasted coffee beans. Ordered a Caramel Macchiato, which was rich, creamy, and not watered down. The macchiato took awhile to come out since orders were piling in(Yes, New Yorkers have to get their coffee fix, no matter the time of the day) and there was only one person doing the latte art. I wouldn’t recommend getting the baked goods… they don’t seem fresh, but if you must, then go right ahead! I’m no coffee connoisseur, but I must say, Gregory’s Coffee is such a nice alternative to Starbuck’s.

Nothing special here that you couldn’t get at a Starbucks around the corner. The prices are kind of expensive for average coffee. They have tons of people working, but you still seem to end up waiting in line forever. Their menu is more limited than Starbucks and some other competing coffee places and their coffee was burnt and had been sitting out. It was also mobbed when I went and the seats are on top of each other that you barely get any privacy(I was fortunate enough to sit next to a couple who was making out the entire two hours I was trying to study). The bathroom line comes right down the middle of everything, so someone waiting to pee is hovering over you trying to type your essay or take a conference call. Overall, there really isn’t an outstanding reason to go here other than its convenience. Starbucks will do.

The coffee is ok, music is awful mind numbing pop shit, and the only sound drowning it out is the millennial conversation beside me that goes something like: «like, I feel like, San Francisco is picturesque and like, a lot of Westchester people who went to Boston are now like, in New York or San Francisco»

Honestly, I just didn’t care for this coffee much. I felt it was overly sweet and heavy. The interior was really nice and i wished i enjoyed the coffee more.

Stopped here in the early morning during a business trip and ordered a cappuccino. Although some of the reviews say it gets pretty packed mid-day, it was fairly empty in the morning so it’s a good time to stop in for your first coffee of the day. The space itself was open and there are a lot of places to sit and read or work while you enjoy your coffee and pastries. As for the drink itself, it was nothing special. Not much flavor and felt a little watered down. Their pastries looked pretty good though, so I wouldn’t mind stopping back in and giving them a try.

Really nice and spacious café that offers great drinks which are worth the price attached to them. $ 5.15 for a medium sized latte is more on the expensive side compared to many other places but it was worth every penny. They have a variety of flavors but I chose to go with hazelnut. It was one of the best lattes I’ve ever tried… not only that but it was presented elegantly and as a coffee lover, I really appreciate it when my coffee not only tastes delicious but looks pretty too :) There is a good amount of seating but it can get quite loud and this place is super packed during the afternoon hours. My friend and I stayed for about an hour and whenever we looked over towards the counter, it seemed like they had a never-ending line of customers. But it is with good reason! I’m happy to have found this place though, now I know where to go for my lattes if I’m ever in the city.

This place gets really packed during mid-day. I guess that when everyone(like me) is in dying need of coffee. Got a latte around $ 5, pretty good. I really like the big spacious space available to study. There are a lot of other NYU students studying, so generally people are usually respectful to keep the noise minimal. Coffee and table area were good, but both times i visited, the staff members looked miserable and didnt offer a welcoming vibe. If i am paying $ 5 for a drink, a smile wouldnt kill ya. But, Free wifi(yay!) Bathroom requires a code.

It’s a typical coffee shop, but one with killer drinks. I come here to get work done instead of going to the closest Starbucks because the selections here are much much better. I’m obsessed with their dirty chai and the mocha latte — they’re the right balance of espresso and sweetness! The staff is super friendly — there’s one person who always moves along to the music playing in the store. It’s nice to see staff that enjoy their workplace! Happy employees + hot drinks + chill vibes = perfect place to hang out with a book or work on assignments.

This place is aces. The line can be out-the-door if you’re slow getting off the 6 train and all your fellow passengers beat you to the shop, but it always moves fast. The baristas are friendly and attentive. Both hot and iced coffee are excellent. And for breakfast food: if I’m feeling like I should be healthy(er), the Swiss oatmeal(a loose yogurt/oatmeal/nuts/dried fruit combo) is outstanding and filling. If I’m feeling like I normally do, then they have ample whole wheat donuts for me to inhale(I’ve written about them in another review, but these are among my favorite donuts in the whole city). Prices are definitely on the higher side, especially for a chainlet-type place, but I think it’s worth it. Between this place, BRC, and Birch, this is a surprising good coffee area.

I’m surprised I haven’t been here before. So since it’s a typical Tuesday workday, I thought I would spice things up a bit and try something new. Overall, solid. Despite of the huge morning rush line, I really liked the ambiance of this place. There’s plenty of seating to do work, sip your coffee, or meet up with a friend. Plus, free wifi and an assortment of what seemed to be incredible baked goods. I ordered a dirty chi, which came out to be about $ 5, which around here is normal but definitely a splurge. I wasn’t necessarily«wowed» though. It was good, just not the best I’ve ever had. I wish I was more of a pastry person because all of the past reviewers seemed to really hype about the pastries. They did look delicious. Overall, good place to go chat with your friends or finish work. If you’re planning on doing this, try to avoid the chaotic morning rush, since it took me nearly 20 minutes to get a small drink.

Great coffee! I usually stopped by here on my way into work to grab an iced coffee. The pastries always look amazing, but I try to avoid to keep off the weight. But gave in when I saw the rice krispie made with rice chex. It was worth it! Prices are not too crazy either for this area. Lots of seating and great space in this place. They also sell really cute merchandise. Staff is also always friendly and helpful.

Some of the best pastries ever! I had the carrot cake and it was very moist, flavorful and tastie. The apple fritter was awesome. There weren’t any chucks of apple.

Really really busy midday during the week. They do that blue bottle type coffee where they put it through some filter thing. I got an americano and had to wait ~5 minutes for it, it’s tough to stand and wait if you’re not going to sit. It was a bit to harsh for my taste, and it wasn’t cheap more than $ 2 for a small.

I feel like most coffee shops struggle with the fine and delicate balance between things like coffee vs. pastry quality, table quantity vs. size, etc. What Gregory’s does well is navigate these questions with ease, great customer service, and a really awesome product. First of all, I’d say that the image they’re going for is the clean hipster; you can see it not only in their branding but also in their venue. Not too much going on, mostly neutral color scheme. Beverage-wise, at this point I’ve tried almost everything on their menu; the espresso is bright without being wince-inducing, the drip is nutty and chocolaty(pairs well with soy or almond milk), the mocha is really wonderful and smooth, not too sweet, and the macchiato is robust, a perfect companion to the big, burly brownie that never fails to catch my eye from behind the glass display :) This particular location abounds with an assortment of tables – large, small, tall, in addition to a plenitude of outlets for whatever devices you bring(which j recommend; free wifi!!). Overall, great experience, and a solid location I can rely on whenever I’m in Flatiron.

I don’t normally deviate from my caffeine intake routine(that’s a lie), nor do I humor a franchise that’s specific to an audience known for wearing fedoras– buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut my sister came home with these cookies one time… aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand she left them on our dining room table for about two weeks aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand being the head of the household(also a lie), I decided she no longer deserved these cookies. I know what you’re thinking«gross». Well, I’m a gross kind of a guy(also known as a guy). Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand those cookies were still moist AF! They were somehow even more moist than some cookies from the oven. They were kept in a ziplock, so maybe that had something to do with it but I don’t give a fuck how it happened, it just happened, and it happened good!

After having a disappointing coffee at a bagel shop, I dropped by here to get a proper coffee. After reading some Unilocal reviews on the Dirty Chai, I was excited to try theirs. BUT, when I ordered, they were out of Chai. WHAT?! Oh well, I settled on a Hazelnut Latte. It was Very Good, so they redeemed themselves. Husband had a regular coffee and really like his, as well. Bonus, cool décor. Also, noticed in the fridge they carry Fage yogurt. Nice.
