Compared to other places around, the place is overpriced, but it’s the only place I know of that has shrimp/other seafood in their buffet, so I understand the cost of quality component. That being said, I do mostly only come for the seafood and as far as I know, it’s pretty fresh and delicious. The décor is nice and the service is alright. You probably don’t want to eat here everyday(unless you work a really well-paying job), but when you do, it’s worth the experience.

Poor service, put meat in a veg meal and it made me sick. I would advise staying away. The cook area is a mess. There are cleaner and more friendly places around the corner.

I commute to New York and have worked here for many years. I stopped here for dinner for the first time the other night and it was horrific. I literally threw out my entire meal because it was that bad. I had slivers of every component from their buffet and premade foods and each was as piss poor as the next. I called it a $ 20 loss and moved on. Do yourself a favor and just go to mcdonalds if you want to eat crap food. You will save $ 16 and it will at least taste decent going down. This place burns the pocket and tastes awful. Avoid!!!

This is kind of overpriced pay for weight food but they always have something to nosh on and its pretty decent. I hope I don’t hear later on that there was a cockaroach sighting or something but so far, its clean. There are lots of specialty things at specialty prices. I just bought an overpriced enlarged pomegranate which was probably mutated genetically and was still good when all the other grocers have none in stock anymore. Signs of spring people! I also enjoy that I can get plantains here anytime I want. Or a little salad. Or some seafood business. And some cuts of meat done any way any time. Yay for 24 hours and prepared food for the lazies like me.

Wow, it took me a while to get to writing this. Stopped here with my friend, early evening 9÷25÷15. We grabbed some of the hot/cold buffet and sat in the nice space upstairs. We got a seat near the«balcony,» where we could look down on the whole store, which was kind of fun. Good variety of food. Very clean, including the bathroom. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. My friend and I agree we would would both return if in the neighborhood again.

Great deli! Nice selection of food, hot or cold. Happy to see they even have healthy options.

Decent selection of hot and cold items at this place with the traditional«pay-by-weight» model. We didn’t find anything too spectacular here but what we did find was overall, well-made, tasty food at a decent price. Mostly American, some Asian-themed dishes(possibly reflecting the ownership) — overall a good place to visit if you’re in the area and need a quick fix.

Do not believe Business Owner Jin A’s comment for a second. He’s full of it. I gave them one last chance and returned over a couple of months later, and there was absolutely no change in the abundance of BONESINTHESALMON. If anything, there were actually *more*. Absolutely nothing was done to address this issue in all that time. Given the outright dishonesty, I’m now subtracting another star. How hard is it to hire someone who will do a non-awful job at bone removal? I don’t know exactly myself, but I do know Sunsweet does not have this problem. I don’t think I’ve ever found a single bone in their salmon. Overall, I would highly recommend just heading up the street to Sunsweet instead of here for a lot more options, and again, salmon that isn’t loaded with choking hazards.

I can’t make a review for the soups/salads/sandwiches but the coffee and smoothies are definitely A+. The coffee is not only reasonably priced but delicious, and regular coffee is very cheap but I believe the specialty coffees such as lattes, macchiatos and cappuccinos are less expansive than Starbucks and your typical coffee shop but just as delicious if not more. The smoothie was also very delicious but wasn’t very cold. As we visited in the winter and in twenty degree temps this was a plus but may not be so in the hot summer months. ***Don’t be fooled by the delicious looking desserts, they are old, stale and have been sitting in that case for who knows how long, and the workers aren’t even sympathetic about, just a warning***

I love the Syrian Chickpea Soup, but they haven’t had it in a while. Maybe it’s seasonal. I hope it’s not because Syria is a controversial subject right now. Please bring it back. It’s the best soup!

This hit the spot. Good sandwich/wrap/panini selection. The hot bar was ok, but food was only warm. Great grocery selection. Pretty much a 1-stop shop. This will be my go-to spot when I stay in this area. NOTETOOWNEROFSUNAC: Thanks for your reply. We stayed at The Hilton Fashion District and your place came highly recommended(along with a voucher) in lieu of their continental breakfast. As a Hilton Diamond, I think this is a great perk for this hotel and your restaurant to offer. I wish I would have taken advantage of it sooner, but certainly will next time. I really love the wide range of items your business offers. Thanks!

Everything here is yum. Smoothies, fruit, salad bar, made to order salads, sushi, sandwiches etc. You can almost get any food here, seriously! Great for breakfast, made to order sandwiches, omelets etc. Staff is all nice and they are efficient. While one is checking out the cashiers have the next person already queued. I appreciate that. If you work close this will become a new go to if you try it!

I came here to just grab a small cup of soup since the weather is so cold. I was pleasantly surprised since I thought it would be mediocre and the price would be astronomical but I was so wrong! I grabbed a small cup and looped around the soup station and decided on broccoli cheddar soup — it was only $ 3.80! And it tasted good! The space is small and it can get crowded but I definitely want to come back to try their salad(6 toppings for $ 6.95!), Korean selections, and sandwiches/wraps. I will be back for sure.

Go to lunch spot! Has amazing ramen which is a lot in quantity and they give a side of kimchi with that which is so good. Good salad bar and korean bulgogi options. They also accept cards as payment, no minimum. Good place to buy foreign food too

I love this place especially for its udon soups! The broth is packed full of flavor and the spice is a blend that is by far the best I’ve tasted anywhere! Each time I try udon at a new place, I’m disappointed because none can compare or stand up to the udon soup here! For anyone that is a vegetarian or not, I strongly recommend the vegetable udon with extra mushroom! OMG! Trust me, it will keep you coming back for more.

Sunac is the by far the best deli on 6th ave between 26&25 st. I was heavily addicted for close to 3 years. I still get the shakes when I think about their crazy chicken sandwich, or their soup selection. OR their Bim Bi Bap. Went through night sweats for weeks. Check out their Ramen. you will not be let down.

Allow me to set the stage dear reader: Between 0200 and 0400 in the wee hours of Saturday morning after two too many games of pool and at least seven too many brews. A buddy and I are stumbling along our merry way in search of something to soak up our sins and I’m quickly told that Sunac is likely our best bet for reprieve. I hesitate. Late night hybrid Italian specialty stores and delis are often a mixed bag, but it’s not like we’ve been presented with a cornucopia of options. Sunac it is. Spoiler alert? It was just what we needed, and I’d go back in a heartbeat. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? While I was in no shape to be picky with regard to the service at Sunac as I’m sure I was a liability myself, both the man behind the counter and the cashier were friendly, and somehow managed to piece together exactly what I managed to slur up in the form of a food order. Of note is the fact that Sunac is as clean as it is spacious, and in that I was in and out in under five or so minutes was a welcome treat. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Maybe not surprisingly, the below picture of my $ 6.75 hot pastrami sandwich with abundant lettuce, mustard, and jalapenos, is blurry, but all you need to know is that I didn’t regret spending that $ 6.75 for a hot minute. There’s value here even if I don’t have a clear picture to prove it. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Shortly after ordering my pastrami sandwich I watched the man behind the deli counter take out some meat and slap it in the microwave. At the time this was a real kick to the gut, as my expectations for a quality sandwich went the way of Arby’s or Subway. However, microwave or not, my meat was combo’d with fresh bread and veggies that turned out to be an absolutely marvelous finished product. The meats here, like everything else, are of the highest quality, and I was blown away at the leanness of the pastrami. This wasn’t some greasy spoon mutant that leaked questionable juices but instead a fresh blend of flavor and consistency that thoroughly hit the spot. All in all? A very good sandwich. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Are there better sandwiches in the city? Sure there are, but I’m so impressed with the service, atmosphere, and consistent quality at Sunac(even in the wee hours of the morning) that I’m going to dish out this star here. Well done. Star Granted.

TIP: Best Hot Sandwiches in Midtown. Try the Crazy Chicken. I stumbled on this place after realizing that I might be limited in my midtown lunch selections. The words Fancy Food always makes me think expensive, but its honestly not that much more than the other places. Their food here is really good with fresh ingredients but in comparison to the other markets around, its a bit small. However, the trade off is, better fresher foods and they carry the favorites anyways in the buffet. Pros: — Open 24 hours — High Quality ingredients — Very fast cashiers — Large drink selection — Soup Tastings — Very clean place — Seating upstairs Cons: — ALWAYS Crowded during the work day — Limited Items for sandwiches — Slightly pricier than competitors($ 1 more) — They charge you to change the bread on the custom sandwich they are making($ 1 extra for a wrap instead of a fresh baguette… seems silly) — Buffet doesn’t change too much in selection but its good items

Worked around the corner from Sunac for two years and I’ve probably been there like 100 times. The place has great variety and the food is fresh, plus they have a few imported or rare snacks and drinks. It’s a little pricy for normal human standards, but I guess it’s kinda cheap for NYC. I never received anything that tasted bad from Sunac. It was a nice go to when I was sick of everything else in the area, and it was great to be able to hit up the buffet and be out the door within 5 minutes of entering. They don’t rotate the buffet often enough though. I think they refresh the menu once a year or something, but the options were too similar between days.
