Went here on a first date and deff wasnt the right vibe BUT if you come here with your squad… you’re in for a good time. I went on a Thursday night and there was a few people there… as it got later it got more crowded but prob not enough for a thursday night. THEYPLAYEDTHEBESTTTTTTTTTTSONGS like so TBT it was epic. They have bar seating and couches and they were playing Zoolander on the TV and they have fun Will Ferrel pics all over the place. Bartender was also FEELIN herself dancing to every song and super sociable so… who doesnt love that? Their drink menu– epic. I got the Whore Island and it was amazing but then I got the Hansel’s So Hot Right Now and wasnt in love(too sticky). But they also have seasonal drinks and I got super excited to see sangria on the menu but its only a Spring/Summer drink– RUDE. Deff check this out, bring your squad, turn up and let it all go. Shake and bake baby

We happened to be in the area and wanted to check this place out. Warning, it extremely small & narrow and seems packed with like 30 people in it. But a themed Will Ferrell bar, how do you not go for at least one drink? We were able to get a small couch to sit on which was nice. They also have a few TVs on playing Will’s movies. The drinks are named after Will’s funny movie lines. I had Whore Island, tasted just like a watermelon jolly rancher, pretty good. All bartenders & staff were friendly. A tad pricey but you are still in NY so that is the standard. And the bathrooms were very clean, I like a bar that stays on top of that throughout the night! I recommend going to check it out, I think the earlier you go the better to beat the crowds.

Man oh man was this place great. Came here to attend a book launch party for THELIFE-CHANGINGMAGICOFNOTGIVING A F*CK. The book is awesome and so was the party. The venue – never even knew about it till I got the invite, and what a pleasure it was. Stay Classy, if you didn’t already know, is a Will Ferrel themed bar. You’ll find posters and art from all of his movies. Drinks are all named to reference his movies and there is even a section of scotch drinks that use Stay Classy scotch. Didn’t even know that was a thing. I find that most theme bars are a little weak in service. Maybe they rely on the theme to bring folks in and don’t pay that much attention to service. Not the case here. Our bartenders were on point all night! They were attentive, active, engaged, and unbelievably helpful. My go-to drink of the night was the Shake-and-Bake. It’s like a Whiskey Sour, only better. If you’re going to Stay Classy, consider the pizzeria on the corner. Their pizza isn’t that great, but they’ve got solid garlic knots. Thank you Stay Classy.

When I heard that Stay Classy, a Will Ferrell character inspired bar, was opening up in the LES, I was excited to check it out, but it was a disappointment. The railroad layout of the place is uncomfortable. At the time, the only spot available was a small space against the wall in the back, which was the most awkward place to stand since it was the path that lead to the restroom so a lot of people traffic. There are a few stools at the bar & some seating but they were already taken. What I liked most about the place was the art wall of movie characters that Ferrell played in «Anchorman,» «Talledega Nights,» & «Stepbrothers.» The cocktail menu is cool too because they named them after movie quotes such as «Glass Case of Emotion» & «Shake and Bake». TIP: CASHONLY.

This bar is teeny tiny, and there is nowhere to sit if it’s crowded. There are a few couches toward the back of the bar, about 8 stools at the bar, and a few stools up front. I came here with some girlfriends on a Monday night for Elf-themed trivia. The trivia part was awesome. The drinks not so much. I had the Great Odin’s Raven. The bartender was super heavy-handed. And not in a good«buzzed after one drink» way… in an «I can’t drink this because it’s pure rum» way. Gotta give it up for the creative menu, and I’m sure if they were made right the drinks would have been pretty good, but unfortunately I can’t say. However, it’s an experience, so go at least once just to check it out, but don’t plan to stay long.

Awesome concept — so so execution. Tiny place, long wait for drinks, cash only(it is 2015, right?), expensive prices for drinks served in plastic cups filled ¾ with ice. Loled at the drink menu — very creative. Loved the Will Ferrell art and movies playing on the different tvs, but the novelty wears off quickly. Really wanted to love this place but there are just so many other amazing spots in NYC that I would recommend first.

2.5 stars? Maybe it’s just not my scene. I wanted to check it out because, well, it’s a tribute to Will Ferrell. The drinks were decent but it just reminded me of what one would drink at a college house party aka sweet and will mess you up because it goes down so easy. The place is narrow so you’re bound to get brushed up by people walking by. There’s a jukebox which is nice but beware of the guy that plays Spice Girls — Wannabe more than once.

As everyone knows already, the entire place is very narrow and if you are drunk it seems to get more narrower. Not the reason why I have it 4 stars. Cash only bar, — one star. The place is still fairly new so hopefully that changes over the course of next week. Although their isn’t a lot of room, my friends and I still managed to get a few games of flip cup going on that ledge that goes across the entire wall on the right hand side when you’re walking in. The drinks were pretty good and priced just like any other typical NYC bar. They did have anchor man 2 playing on the tv which brought many laughs to the drunks. I’d go back.

Horrible spot, this neighborhood doesn’t need a crappy theme bar. They have bad drinks and a new neon light outside that lights up the entire block. Obnoxious

3.5 stars This place is Will Ferrel heaven… and therefore bro heaven. Don’t get me wrong — I love Will Ferrel as much as the next guy(or girl) who went to school in the early 2000’s, but the crowd here was not my scene. You should really come here if you’re into tiny, SUPERCROWDED bars, or if you’re a die-hard fan of Mr. Ferrel(it’s mecca for that). But, if you’re just looking for a spot to grab a couple drinks, I suggest you go to literally any other bar in the area. It’s the lower east side so your options are basically endless. If there were about 30 fewer people in this tiny bar, it could have been fun… there were all of his movies playing on tv’s around the bar & various relics and autographs from the movies he’s starred in, but it just wasn’t an amazing experience for me.

Hilarious concept. Good prices for beers and drinks. I’m not into the narrowness of the place but hey what can you do. The cocktails I tried were yummy, especially the Mugatu Mule.

By the hymen of olivia newton john, this bar, it’s so hot right now. So hot. I don’t know what other sons of nutcracker reviewers are expecting, but it’s a decent bar. There’s alcohol, it’s reasonably priced, and there are will ferrell movies playing(silently) on a few different tvs. What else do you want, some meatloaf?

Let the excitement of your discovery settle. Just give it a minute. While conceptually awesome, a Will Ferrell-themed bar is surprisingly one dimensional(wait, what?!). The colorful bar with a bit of a 90s throwback and lots of Ferrell memorabilia winds up feeling a bit like a tacky exhibit/set piece.(Actually, I realize that’s a prerequisite of most themed bars.) The drinks are similarly underwhelming. The best thing about their specialty cocktails are the names, but unfortunately, they didn’t live up to them. I ordered a Glass Case of Emotion not just because that Anchorman bit is a classic but because its mix of ingredients made it sound tasty. Wrong. Maybe it was the muddled rosemary but the flavors didn’t mesh well. I tried a few of the other drinks my friends ordered, and they were pretty sweet concoctions. Not my thing but to each his own. They enjoyed some of theirs. At the end of the day, Stay Classy is the Will-Ferrell themed college party you were too lazy to throw but can now attend whenever you want(during opening hours, of course). Try your best to stay classy, but it’s probably going to be a shit show.

OKay, don’t act like you don’t know what you are getting into. Yes, it’s crowded. Yes, it’s overpriced. Yes, the drinks are too sweet. But look, if you want a laugh, if you wanna say you came here, come. Just bring cash and get here early. You’re only going to have a drink and leave, so just check it off and move on.

Drinks and bartenders are better than therapy. The drink list is delicious and flawless, perfectly made, and music selection is on point. It’s a new bar so they’re progressing. For having had opened this month, I’m giving them 5 stars. Who doesn’t love Will Ferrell, an atmosphere compatible with the friends you actually like, and drinks that are well made?

Took a cab down to Stay Classy and was so pumped. We(me and the old ball and chain) got there at 3pm and the bartender told me and my wife that they open up at 4pm. No biggie! We will go grab a bite to eat and come back. We came back and the was a handwritten sign on the door saying that they will be open at 5pm. We decided to head back to the hotel and Times Square(yea, we are tourists). We figured we would go back later, regardless of the Über/cab costs. We headed back because I am a Will Ferrell junkie. I was so ready to try a Shake and Bake and my wife wanted to try a We’re Going Streaking drink. Once we entered We had to barrel our way to an empty spot near the tiny bar and order our drinks. Success after 5 minutes. We ordered the drinks and they were pretty good, not great, but whatever. We «walked around» to check out the place. Literally we took 10 – 12 steps from the bar to back of the building and our tour was over. My wife and I both looked at each other and simultaneously said, «that’s it?» We grabbed a slot on the counter bar that runs through the place in the back. This was a cool spot because we heard at least 5 groups of people say the same thing: «that’s it?» I so wanted to love this place, but I was extremely underwhelmed. I hope that there is more to come for the owners’ sake. Where was Robert Goulet? Where was Brennan? How about Craig? I am not going to say don’t go here. I am not that kind of guy(anymore). I truly wish the owners success, but realistically I am not sure how they can sustain the hype. Ehh what the heck… go there so you can tell people you went to the bar with Will Ferrell posters on the walls.

Don’t believe the hype !!! Dreadful sweet sickly drinks, no draught beer, no decent wines and cash only! The cheeky bastards have an ATM in the bar but the max is $ 80 and the fee is $ 3:95. Locals — AVOID

The idea is great, the bar is not. We went during their soft opening… the bar would be a million times better if there were something to do and if it were bigger! Before we went in, people told us not to bother waiting in line and I’m pretty glad they forewarned us. The bar is like 3 feet wide and really long, and then less with people standing everywhere. We had the smelly pirate hooker and mugatu mule drinks, which were pretty good and decent prices(compared to other NYC bars). Btw, the drink names are clever, so there’s a point. I love the will Ferrell theme and some of the posters are cool, but there’s definitely more they could do with this venue. It is just a really crowded dive bar in a small space that has movie posters.
