The line goes by fast … because they consistently get drinks wrong so dont come in if you want more than a coffee. Theu do however have powermats installed at tables. Thats… great

After my last visit here, I was a little weary about coming back but it’s the closet to my final location this morning. Was greeted by my regular barista and ordered my drink, when I tried to scan my phone he said«it’s on me after what happened» I was so shocked that he not only remembered but try to appease me!!! Thanks Buddy Barista!!!

I’m not really a fan of this Starbucks. Usually, the staff at Starbucks is much friendlier. The staff here was a bit rude. When the barista didn’t understand what I had said, she just paused for a moment and then gave me a look and said, «What?» Not expected out of Starbucks. Plus, the space here is also not the greatest, as in there isn’t much standing room or sitting room. Obviously, if you’re coming in and out for a coffee, it doesn’t matter, but I wouldn’t stay here.

yuck… if ya like washwater coffee, knock yer socks off… there are far much better places in the UES ie, Eastern Market has freshed brewed Maxwell House for .99cents

This Starbucks is the closest to me and I often get coffee here. Staff is usually friendly and attentive, line moves reasonably fast.

Come to this Starbucks if you feel like listening to the staff yell at each other off the top of their lungs(if they’re making a frap, not to worry, they’ll yell over the blender), watch the staff hit on every single lady who walks through the door, listen to the manager sing, and if not sing, then whistle, and if not whistle, then be sure to treat his employees like trash. THISISNOT A STARBUCKSYOUWANTTOFORGETYOURHEADPHONESFOR. I’ve been here about 5 times, and each time, it’s the same thing. Also, don’t forget to bring your coat. The AC is always blasting, even in the winter.

In another attempt to find a place to study, I tried Starbucks as Effy’s next door was packed. I really like the large table for studying off to the side, but what is up with the outlets? Also, I got charged for my «free» tea refill. I will not be coming back.

Right by my office, but I still prefer to go to other coffee shop. Too crowded and the stuff is super slow

If the 96th Street Starbucks is too crowded, I tend to walk over to this one to get my morning fix. It’s closer than the 86th Street one, and it tends to be relatively empty(thank goodness). The cashiers at this particular branch isn’t as friendly as the 96th St. one, but the dude that makes the drinks was super nice. He saw that I was falling asleep on the counter waiting for my drink and sneaked(snuck?) me an extra shot in my dirty chai. Plus, he made me laugh! I like it when people make me laugh… but then again I’m easily amused. It’s much smaller than the other local Starbucks, and the line curled very close to certain tables, making me a bit uncomfortable, but the employees were swift and attentive. And they even had a smile for every customer — even if it was disgustingly early. Like pre-breakfast/running to work early. Fun times.

I study at Starbucks probably 5 day a week. This is part of the Starbucks review series. Overall: 3⁄5 tl;dr: This is a pretty solid Starbucks, with three major drawbacks — lack of outlets, early closing hours, and the general crowdedness of this place. —- LAYOUT: Many single tables(mostly on the N side) — there are 3 on the side with windows facing 3rd Ave(E side of the store) — a great place to study in the late afternoon since the sunlight often streams in :) A central table by the bar counter, and a padded sofa with two tables on the S side. STAFF: Sometimes the staff here plays Top 20 music at night(presumably from an employee’s iPod?), which is a really cool change from the normal«Starbucks music.» :P There’s a guy that works here(who might be the manager) who is kind of odd at times — he loves cleaning the bathroom, and once he does so he wouldn’t let anyone go into the bathroom for half an hour(«it needs to dry»). Also, he tries to kick people out of the store at 9:40 when they really close at 10. There is a really nice barista here who has an amazing memory for complicated drinks. CROWD: For some odd reason, this Starbucks is almost always crowded. There is definitely an ebb and flow — crowded usually near 2 – 5PM, with a lull between 5 – 7, and then another crowd from 7 – 8. The Starbucks empties out after 8. BATHROOM: One of the cleanest SB bathrooms, on the W side of the store opposite the main entrance. OUTLET: Two, both on the N side of the store, one in the middle and one near the bathroom. There IS an outlet on the E side of the store that powers the Starbucks sign, but it’s on the ceiling. _Please_don’t be THAT douchebag who plugged his laptop into the outlet on the ceiling last time.

I actually think I like this Starbucks better than the one on 87th and Lex! It is definitely a lot quieter and gets less foot traffic. This also means there are more tables to sit at and study.

Your standard Starbucks. It’s on a relatively quiet corner, so it’s not the zoo that more centrally-located Starbucks can become. There is a decent amount of seating, but all seats are often occupied, usually by the laptop crowd. During the two hours I was there, I saw only one homeless person come in to use the bathroom.

Been here multiple times as it’s in the area. Came here for some serious talks and catch-up chats with various friends. It’s a pretty standard location. Not too difficult to find a seat(they also have an outside bench). This is actually a pretty convenient location and it doesn’t get as packed as other Starbucks, which is nice.

Always crowded, and temperature always on the cold side. This corner location is NOT a good spot for reading, waiting for friends or studying. I have often shared a table with someone, and sometimes I didn’t even walk in because it was so crowded. That being said, the goods are standard Starbucks, and the service is standard as well.

I can’t believe I am reviewing a Starbucks, but how and ever, I am an addict and this particular Starbucks is my favorite store. There are many reasons including location, but, it’s a pretty busy little place, with a lot of tables, yet you can be hard pressed to get one. The music, atmosphere and staff, bar one, make it what it is. I am not going to get into this particular staff member, but you can identify her snotty attitude a mile away. Darling, cut the attitude and take a leaf from you co-workers books. So I have spent many hours here enjoying the coffee, atmosphere, writing, reading, people watching.

My go-to Starbucks to get my hot or iced coffee on way to work. Never too crowded, lines not too bad, nice people who work there, and had great air conditioning in this past hot summer.

I’m here right now, using the wifi, which is nice and fast, but I don’t see any outlets. Free wifi and no outlets sucks, but I guess I can understand that they don’t want people like me hanging out here all day after ordering one iced tea.(I actually had to leave after 10 minutes anyway it was so damn cold!) Bathroom is kind of gross. It’s way too cold in here, and there’s a wind blowing around. But three stars for having plenty of tables and having wifi.
