Great place with a cool atmosphere! It gets crowded fast after work hours, so be prepared. I’ll come back at happy hour and to try their fondue.

Super cute atmosphere! Very mature, trendy and hipster vibe all at the same time. The smores and the quiche are amazing! Service is great too. Whenever I looked up a bartender is ready to take an order. Only downfall is the bathroom. It was gross and not clean.

This is a super dope coffee house, a dying breed indeed. I’m guilty of living around the corner of this coffee house and not being a regular here although I’ve been once before! I recently stopped by to get some work done(I’m much more productive when I’m not sitting on my couch) and was pleasantly surprised how much the place has changed. The bar has a new location, and everything is just so much more comfortable. I was pleased to see they have an awesome happy hour that includes $ 5 drinks and starts early, but I settled on a cappuccino. I sat and although I was pleased when the barista brought my cappuccino to me(no pressure to pay immediately) I was not pleased with the quality of the cappuccino which is why I wouldn’t recommend this spot for coffee. The espresso just wasn’t good but they brew Irving Farm Coffee Roasters which is usually good. And although I needed wifi to get some work done, I was forced to just relax and sip my coffee due to their«no wifi after 5PM» rule. I respect the rule. They’ve managed to create an awesome coffeehouse vibe, conducive to conversation. There were lots of people, solo and otherwise, partaking in the happy hour or just chilling with coffee. Lots of conversation happening which was awesome to see– the exact opposite of any Starbucks. Would I recommend this spot to get work done? No, not after 5PM. But would I recommend this spot overall? Hell yes. Come solo or with a friend, grab a glass of wine and chat away!

I love this place. The vibe is awesome — like a hip Central Perk. They have s’mores, cheese fondue, coffee, beer(aka all you need). I’ve sat at the bar, had a nice cup of coffee and got some work done on a Saturday afternoon, but I’ve also come on a Monday night for trivia and drinks. It’s a great date spot because you can split a bottle of wine and share the s’mores plate. Or friend spot. Or lone spot. Only problem is there isn’t wifi on the weekends. C’mon guys.

Cool and comfy ambience. I had always noticed this place when I used to live around the corner and now that I’ve been away, I’ve been missing my old hood. Plus, I was in the area signing up for free memberships along museum mile with my idNYC and was craving s’mores so I caught up with a friend who lives nearby there on a cold winter evening. The servers were really nice guys and the self serve concept is easy. The place just gets packed with people reading, doing work on their laptops and stuff. So there are tables for 4 that have one person on it. Get used to sharing with strangers. Next time I’ll order the cheese fondue and play some scrabble. They have other games like Jenga and other board games. Definitely a place you can regularly go to.

Friendly and cozy place. They support artist. Apparently, they changed menu and don’t offer some drink items on website anymore. Gaelic Punch: lemon, cloves, honey, irish whiskey, $ 9 Kentucky Mile: chamomile tea, orange, honey, buillet bourbon $ 10

Awesome vibe– great space to work during the day, go to dinner, or get drinks and smores into the early hours.

With the L train potentially being closed down for construction this spring, I no longer have to worry. Why you ask? Because I’ve found DTUT — an enclave of Williamsburg and Bushwick in the yUppie East Side. Add some craft beers and a website that advertises a menu that no longer exist(but ask nicely as they’ll still make the drinks), you can’t go wrong! Honestly a good spot with stellar service.

I really can’t give DTUT enough praise. If I could give it six stars I would. It’s by far the coolest place I’ve found in NYC that is both a café and a bar. I first went there for a reading, and I loved that one side of the room there was a small living room set up with couches, and coffee tables. It’s the perfect place to read. Then on the other side, it’s the perfect place for a date with dim lighting and candles on the table. I might sound odd but it’s truly great. I love the staff as well. It’s definitely a place every New Yorker must check out!

This place has a wonderful, low-key vibe. After having our flight to NYC delayed multiple times, we needed a pick me up once we finally reached Manhattan. We were staying in mid-town and this place was a quick 10 – 15 cab ride away. You can order the s’mores platter for 2 or 4. They bring it to where you are sitting(wooden bar tables or some couches/comfy chairs with tables) and you have a mini fire to roast your marshmallows and make s’mores. The wine that comes with the platter is way too easy to drink. And by that I mean, we killed our bottle in no time. I would definitely go back.

I like DTUT. Unilocal has this categorized as ‘hispter,’ but I don’t think so. I think it’s cute, cozy, UES, and very relaxing. Service is great.

It succeeds in bringing D-T-U-T(Downtown Uptown). This is a unique spot considering its location, but it works really well in the neighborhood. You can come here to relax on vintage couches while enjoying local coffee, sandwiches, soups, or pastries. They also have a full bar if you are looking for an American craft beer, specialty cocktail, or wine. Better yet, they support local artists and musicians by hosting live events. I came here this past weekend to support a musician my friend manages. The set up was very good — it did not feel cramped given the crowd and space required for the performer. The acoustics were also nice, as the music was not overbearing. The beers were flowing and s’mores were being cooked??? That is right — they have s’mores platters you can order. I hear there is also chocolate and cheese fondue platters on the menu. This pleases me. Overall, my group had a great time at this bar. I look forward to checking out another event sometime in the near future.

Love this place! It’s walking distance from my Air Bnb and I’ve already been twice. The service is great and the baristas are eager to offer recommendations. The atmosphere is so cozy and unique. The lattes taste very real and authentic. I definitely recommend the maple latte!

Every time I come here I’m greeted by the same smiling faces. Such a neighborhood-y, divey /hipster bar. Ryan and Ethan are super sweet and are extremely attentive. I’m really glad they changed their layout — instead of strictly being a coffee house vibe, they’re now both a bar and coffee shop vibe. Couches in the back where kids hang out and bar stools and high tops for drinking. I think they have a few games here as well, jenga and some cards, etc. They’ve got an AMAZING pumpkin cider on tap right now too! They DO have wifi, however I love their rule that it’s not available after 5pm(exact timing may be wrong). Their tea is pretty good and they serve great some really nicely crafted coffee drinks as well.

I have to update this to 5 stars. It’s simply not their fault that Corey, Ethan, and the rest of the crew don’t serve french fries and nachos. I mean, nobody’s perfect. The drinks are stellar, the service is amazing, and the overall vibe is just ridiculously ideal. Fun, relaxed, and just the right amount of making you feel slightly not cool enough to be here. The fact that both my parents and my young cousins recognized this as a fantastic spot sealed the deal. There’s nowhere in Yorkville I’d rather be, except in my own bed after eating an entire bag of shredded cheese while watching Alien on repeat. If that’s not worth five stars, what sort of world do we live in?

I like this place. It’s nice and cozy with a bit of romantic atmosphere. My friends and I came here with a groupon. They give us no problem redeeming the groupon. The overall experience was good with a few downsides. First downside was that the good seats were reserved. We were there for an hour and good 30 minutes of it, the reserved seats were claimed yet. They should have a rule that if you’re more than 10 minutes late, you lose your timeslot. Second downside was that they don’t give enough Hersey’s chocolate. But they were kind enough to give us another one when we asked. The biggest downside was their sandwiches. Such tiny sandwiches with such high price tag. They lose a star for that. Staff were great. Very kind. So I forgive them for giving me a mild heart attack when I saw my sandwich.

I have to say, I’m really diggin’ the new look. I’m not sure who they used as a consultant, but the new layout is really working for them! I love that the two bars have now been combined into one more centralized bar. It doesn’t seem like there is any additional seating/new furniture, but the entire space looks bigger and much more spacious. The couch area is also way cozier now, which is great for curling up with a book. :) Way to go DTUT!

This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. It has great atmosphere, soft music, and delicious food & drinks. I’ve had the soups, sandwiches, coffees, and even the wine & s’mores. The staff is super friendly. I love coming here during the week to do work. WiFi available until 5PM on weekdays! To all of the reviewers complaning about having to buy 1 item an hour — what’s the matter with you? Support your local businesses! We are lucky to have DTUT, especially in the midst of construction hell on 2nd Avenue!

Went to DTUT for the Monday-Wednesday night special where you can get a bottle of wine and smores platter for $ 32. On Monday-Wednesday nights you can get a cheese fondue platter, chocolate fondue platter, or smores platter with a bottle of red or white wine for $ 32. Currently this special is on Groupon for $ 16! You can’t beat that deal! DTUT has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and their smores are delicious! The place was packed for a Wednesday night, which is a great sign that the bar is a popular place on UES. Would give 5 stars, but their B health rating makes me have to rate at 4 stars…

I got a groupon here with the bf for a bottle of wine and a s’ mores platter for two to use thursday-sunday. The deal cost us $ 16, i believe and it was fun. I saw on the board they run the smores and wine special in house without a groupon monday-wed for $ 32! Guys, it was cute and all by theres no way someone should but get it for $ 32. Maybe its because im from the south and s’ mores, while they are my favorite dessert are also relatively simple. This place isnt making their own marshmallows and graham crackers. They aren’t giving you fancy chocolates or a variety of things to use on the s’ more. You’re getting the experience more than anything. A bar of Hershey’s, some keebler graham crackers and marshmallows from a bag. For the groupon, it was great! A decent bottle of red and they get bonus points for giving us a few more marshmallows when we ran out without charh ing us or anything. The place is dark, feels semi-hipstery and the guys at the counter were def giving that vibe. We didnt try their cocktails but they have a decent happy hour. Nit super familiar with the area so i dont know if $ 4 beer, $ 5 wine, $ 6 well is great, but usually a $ 4 beer is pretty good unless its like bud light. Didn’t try any other food but their menu is extremely limited. They are really a coffee bar trying to up their game with booze and novelties. who knows? They could do it.

My wife and I came here to pregame our Sunday night during a three day weekend. This place is pretty large for a coffee shop. Lots of folks sitting around reading. Other ladies sitting around pretending to be reading. Some just sitting around waiting to find someone to chat with. We knew about the recent addition of a cocktail menu here but we honestly came to check out the coffee situation. Once we stepped up front we couldn’t resist. I went with an old fashioned and my wife went with the hot cider. It seems as if the cocktail situation hasn’t quite taken off yet but they do in fact have ALOT of potential once they start advertising it. We got the smore for the novelty factor and a ham and cheese croissant. All said and done we had a lot of fun here and made a new friend. Looking forward to coming back.
