12 567 is the bathroom code i hate that they require you to buy something to use the bathroom. Thats crazy talk

I wish I could give this less than 1 star. Look at my reviews, and you’ll see I rarely if ever give negative reviews. This may be the 1^st.
The baristas are the rudest I’ve ever experienced at ANY Starbucks. The one on 75^th St. is at the opposite end of the spectrum — they are amazing.
This one (Broadway and 81^st St) needs, as another reviewer put it «a complete overhaul of management and staff to get even close to Starbucks service standards.»
EVERY TIME I GO HERE, I ENCOUNTER AN ISSUE — BECAUSE OF SOY MILK. YES, SOY MILK.
Once I asked for it at the bar, and a barista scolded me and said, «Next time, ask for it when you order!»
Another time, I asked for it when I ordered, and the woman shouted «SOY AT THE BAR!!!» No soy at the bar. So I asked, and he poured me a tiny cup. So I asked for the carton. WHY WOULD HE POUR A SMALL CUP, when he could just hand the carton??? Or have it in the steel container, like other Starbucks. All other Starbucks I’ve been to have hand it in the container or carton, so customers can pour as they like. It was a small amount, and I asked for the container, and the woman I ordered from (I’m not kidding) said «THAT IS ALL WE ARE ALLOWED TO GIVE YOU». WHAT THE F***? I said it wasn’t true, and I’ve never experienced this at any other Starbucks. I told her that I always have an issue at this Starbucks. It’s always something. She said, «Well. that’s what they tell us».
I swear — the one on 75^th St is the total opposite. I will ONLY go there from now on. This one is the worst. The baristas are the rudest, most unfriendly people. When I went the last time, I tried to ignore EVER PAST NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE (i.e. every time I’ve been) and to be super pleasant to avoid their BS, and the situation above happened.
DO NOT GO HERE. I will not go here ever again.

I come here almost everyday before work even though I walk a little further from my job, it’s worth it. Because I know that I’m getting the drink that I want. The Baristas are on top their game and even consults me on the types of coffee their brewing for the day. I never had to wait too long for my drink and their consistent with their service by calling their guests by their name and order. I am vey much pleased with their service.

Regularly out of supplies. Slow service. Baristas do not apologize when they screw up. Worst Starbucks on the upper west side. Needs a complete overhaul of management and staff to get even close to Starbucks service standards.

These guys are the friendliest of all starbucks locations and take care of their customers. I had some problems with the coarseness of my coffee grinds for my home brewing and they went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. I had to go back and put a large tip in their tip box because I’ve never had such great service at a New York Starbucks before. Shoutout to Ashley and Rose! I’m sipping a fresh cup right now and I will NEVER FORGET: GROUND FOR ESPRESSO!!!

Terrible service and poor attitude from Rose and staff at this Starbucks. They aren’t turning water into wine here. Stay clear and try some other neighborhood beverage places

Average Starbucks. Lines move slowly but what makes up for this is the good amount of seating space.

Ive been frequenting this Starbucks location twice a week for the past two months; I freelance-​tutor, so it’s the perfect place to meet, grab a coffee and help with studying!
The staff are super-​friendly, never disgruntled and can always take a moment for a brief joke-​around. Thanks for your hospitality!

Nothing mind blowing about this Starbucks. Clean business and hard to find a seat here. I come here when I am on the UWS and on this end of Broadway. Barista made my drink perfectly and even pronounced my name correctly.

This is an average Starbucks. The barista was very polite and my drink came rather quickly. The seating is very limited. The location of this Starbucks is great. Barnes and noble is right across and the movie theatre is near.

It’s your usual Starbucks. Busy, expensive, and good. The staff is nice. I actually found a seat. Just don’t drink too much coffee here. There’s no bathroom.

This is one of the busiest Starbucks I have ever been to. It is hit or miss with both cleanliness and staff friendliness. One time I was here the staff was chit chatting and playing around like it was a high school play ground. One staff member kept referring to another as «b*tch» and they were just putting on a comedy show while the rest of us waited in line. I found it to be extremely unprofessional and many people in line had the same look of awe I had on my face. I stay at the Beacon yearly for work and this is within walking distance so over the past 5 years I have been here its been pretty much the same. The staff either seems like they hate their jobs or they dance around and act like its a high school locker room. The coffee always come out correct and good but the service is not professional and needs to be addressed. Also, can someone clean a table once and a while please!

Might be one of the worst in the city for customer service. I asked if they had decaf & the person taking the money said yes but neglected to tell me it would be a 10 minute wait for it to brew. Thanks. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting & should be the target of health inspections like all of the Starbucks bathrooms. Who are they paying off to get away with this?
New Years Resolution: support local coffee shops!

Staff friendly. Later hours than other Starbucks nearby. On the other hand, did not have cup holder trays and no China tip green tea.

Really not sure how I’ve managed to miss this Starbucks after years of visiting AMNH just a couple of blocks away. I found it very clean and nicely organized. There was a crowd, but I guess most of the people were taking their coffee to go because my fiancé & I found seats very easily at the stools near the large front windows. The baristas were smiling & friendly, serving the customers easily.
The only problem area is the order line. It’s right up against the entrance door, & it causes some congestion & a little confusion («Are you the end of the line? Oh, you ordered already?»). But other than that, I’m pleased we found this Starbucks. Because we were so comfortable, we ended up staying a little longer than planned. Who can resist people-​watching & attempting the crossword over a couple of lattes?

This is by far the dirtiest Starbucks I’ve ever encountered around the city. Every time I walk in here, the trash is overflowing, the tables are dirty and crusty, and the counters/​tables are always littered with others’ used cups and wrappers. Gross!
Although they technically close at 11, by 730, these folks have already cleared their shelves, getting a jump start on their closing duties. I mean, who manages this joint?! They get 2 stars (luckily) because their baristas are friendly.

Decent starbucks, but a little disorganized. Service was relatively quick but unfortunately not much seating. Good for picking up a coffee to enjoy during an amazing movie experience at the AMC with reclining seats nearby.

Excellent Starbucks! They were fast yet very friendly and helpful. There’s a good amount of seating, there’s A/​C, and yes they have a bathroom although they were unkept. I was given a demonstration of how coffee is made on the Clover which was very interesting plus it was the best coffee with very rich flavors. They were also giving out samples of their pumpkin spice latte which was a nice taste of the upcoming season… Fall.

The worst Starbucks on the UWS. Bad service. Badly made drinks.

Boy, oh boy, did I have to go to the bathroom!
I mean, I was about to explode! I could not hold it in anymore. This was a disaster waiting to happen if I did not find relief — pronto!
I am so glad that the city installed all of these convenient restrooms on almost every corner of the city. Sure, some of them are messy, some are cleaner than others, and some have multiple bathrooms. This restroom location only has one single bathroom that is kind of on the messy side, but it served it’s purpose for a deposit.
Oh yeah, they also serve some coffee here. It’s kind of an odd little layout with only a few tables and chairs so it’s really just convenient to use the bathroom, pick up a coffee and go. Today I did my business, grabbed an iced coffee, and was on my way.
Finding a usable bathroom in NYC is tough when you are out and about. So glad these are pretty much everywhere now. Hey, sometimes when nature calls you just gotta go!
