The bar is a basic bar… kind of small. But if you are a Washington Capitals hockey fan, this is the place to go. When I walked in all I saw were Caps jerseys! Amazing!

It’s full of douches and douchettes who pack the place. The music is way too loud and from 2009. But there are lots of TVs and the beers aren’t THAT overpriced, given the location. So there’s that.

I arrived around 6:30 on a weeknight — the bar went from dead to filled with regulars in a matter of minutes. Friendly crowd — neighborhood spot to catch the game. Despite rumors the do in fact take credit cards($ 10 min). Small but seemed to be plenty of seating. Great hole in the wall — excellent staff.

This is the place you’ve been waiting for your whole life and didn’t even know. What they lack in liquor, food, and music, they make up for with knowledgeable and sometimes friendly bartenders, great, welcoming regulars, and a rotating beer list that’ll make anyone happy. Also tvs for all sports, all around you’ll find sports memorabilia that took years to accumulate, and me. I’ll be there, so buy me a drink. Thanks.

Luv this place. Came in to watch the Seahawks game because Central Bar was tooooo crowded ended up in this gem! Total sports bar small and no food but awesome place to watch the game! Great beer selection that rotates often, great service and got to meet the owner. Great people, great selection of beer, lots of tvs… couldn’t ask for more! Plus clean ladies room for your girlfriend. Total bonus.

Standings is everything one could want in a sports bar and more. Several TVs. Awesome décor. Friendly staff. Updated league standings posted on the wall. GREAT beer selection. Aaron the bartender is funny and well-informed(about sports or beer). The owner Gary is great, too, although I’ve interacted with him less. Only warnings I’d give: 1) if you want a seat/table on a big game day, arrive a little early 2) do not come here looking for girls 3) if you say anything stupid to Aaron, he will zing you and people will laugh at your expense. That’s right, I’m talking about you, bro who asked for Fireball at 2:30 on a Sunday

Standings is the kind of bar that I wish my neighborhood offered. In its previous life as «Brewsky’s» it was equally attractive, a tiny dive with a top-shelf beer selection, college sports memorabilia strewn across the walls, friendly bartenders, and a very low-key atmosphere. Coming in for major sporting events is hectic, unless you like getting throttled by sweaty dudes, but it fits the bill perfectly for low-key afternoon baseball games or just quiet talks with friends. Standings has a very local audience, but something tells me if you come here often enough, they’ll learn your name.

Popped in here because another local bar wasn’t open yet… what a nice surprise. Some very tasty beers on tap lots of sports memorabilia to look at, games on TVs all around the bar, small bar, limited seating, but worthy nonetheless. Hubby had a Kentucky bourbon stout and I enjoyed a Stone smoked porter. Nice little find nestled between McSorleys, Burp Castle and Jimmys 43… not to be overlooked…(cell phone charging station… always a plus!)

Very cool place. It is basically mecca for any sports fan who likes good beer. I just started going here regularly during this football season and couldn’t stay away after that. The sports atmosphere literally drips off the walls with all of the cool memorabilia. I’ve probably tried at least 15 beers at Standings that I had never heard of before, and liked them all for the most part. The owner and bartenders are all very friendly and knowledgable about sports and beer. Standings is a true East Village gem.

Honestly the worst bar ever. Went here and and some douche started insulting my girlfriend because she wasn’t drinking a classy enough beer. The owner kicked us out because we didn’t order a nice enough beer.

Standings, you’re the greatest. Docking a star cuz apparently you don’t have Yankee allegiance, but you welcome everybody and I dig that. Also you don’t serve liquor but it’s OK. With handwritten signs for game times on each tv, you can position yourself strategically to get the best view of your team /the game you wanna watch. Come early, place fills up quickly; it’s teeny tiny. They have free pizza Mondays! Free bagel Sundays! And you can order delivery from anywhere you like! Cheers to you, Standings.

Standings NY Manhattan East Village 4:30pm Sunday 7th November 2014 Four Stars This place was voted the best sports bar on several internet lists. The place was pretty small and cozy but enjoyable. We watched the seahawk v eagle game. There was a decent crowd and appealing beer list. I had a thirsty dog which was a very alcoholic and tasty.

Where else but New York can you find a craft beer-slingin’, semi-divey, sports bar the size of a studio apartment? Standings — presumably named for various league standings hand-updated on chalkboards hanging on the establishment’s walls and/or the fact that you will likely be on your feet the whole time here — is not only the most unique sports bar in the city, but thankfully, one of the best. Kitschy sports memorabilia, do-dads, and knickknacks cover every inch of this small space. Think stadium beer cups strung and hung from the ceiling, collectable player bobbleheads, pennants, banners, and stickers instead of some pricey, nicely framed and matted, autographed black and white prints. Even the bathroom is wallpapered with sports section articles. It would seem every team, professional and collegiate, is represented here. Perhaps with the exception of one big one, but more on that later… Standings prides itself on its seasonal(overwhelmingly American craft) beer selection. Brews are a necessity at sports bars, but the brand is typically an afterthought, with other places going the easy route for your generic lights from mega-breweries. Standings is clearly not like other places, and every time I’ve come in here, I’m pretty sure I’ve had something different and delicious. For your less bougie friends, however, Bud Light is your one low-brow option kept perpetually on draft(which, personally speaking, is the only acceptable Light out of the Bud-Miller-Coors trifecta). Despite its craft beer leanings, do not mistake Standings’ affinity for lesser known taps for misguided hispterism, as this is still most definitely a sports bar of the highest order. I’m talkin’ multiple TVs, sound blasting for the biggest game on at the time, and maybe 85% dudes. It’s typically packed, but never overflowing. Just don’t expect to sit down and it’s a damn good spot to kill a long day of sports viewing(NFL Sundays, March Madness, go crazy, you name it). One thing, though — Standings is kinda-sorta-maybe-subtly anti-Yankees(I told you we’d get back to this one). With so many other teams represented here, it’s easy to miss at first glance. But then you start seeing more and more blatant Red Sox fare and the search for anything Bronx Bombers-related becomes more ridiculous than a Where’s Waldo? beach scene(you know the one I’m talkin’ about). Even if I am a bit slighted to not see a hometown franchise get its fair share of real estate(I’m not so naïve to believe everyone supports pinstripes, even here in New York), it certainly won’t stop me from coming here, which is, in itself, a strong endorsement. Frankly, if it weren’t for the dismissal of my Yanks, Standings would very likely be my favorite sports bar in the city. But, hey, you can’t win ‘em all.

Definitely one of the best and quirkiest sports bars in town. Super small, so don’t expect some cavernous place like Professor Thom’s or 13th Step or Village Pourhouse. Love all the different pennants, banners, and posters hanging on the walls and ceiling. The beer selection is all craft brew, and typically with more than a few ones that will catch your eye. And free food on certain game days/nights. And if there is no food, you can bring your own. While the bar is def one of my favorites, the TVs definitely could be upgraded. And no hard liquor, but I guess with all the good beers they have, you might not need it some picklebacks after all.

Awesome little sports bar. Tiny, but quality staff(bartenders, owners, staff) Great chalk boards with every sports standing you could imagine. Food perks: randomly the owner orders food, pizza, bagels, etc.(check out their website) Drinks: only major down point is no hard alcohol: only beer, cider, and wine.

I don’t like sports. I don’t even like beer very much. But Standings is one of my favorite«neighborhood» bars to stop by after work. Everyone who works here is awesome — from the owner to the bartenders. Gary orders free pizza for the bar every Friday, bagels every Sunday, and some meat thing on special occasions that non-vegetarian people seem to really enjoy. Let that sink in: free pizza, bagels, and meats. The website lists upcoming events like pumpkin beer tastings or sports things. There’s always a fun beer on tap that appeals to my non-beer-enjoying palate(think fruits) as well as super strong IPAs. There’s a small wine list, too, nothing fancy. I think the card minimum is a pretty low $ 10. Standings is the type of casual place where you will want to become a regular.

Tiny little sports bar that serves as a safe haven for Boston sports fans. However, there are usually a handful of games playing and a plethora of fans from all over. Beware that there are not tons of seats – maybe two four tops and a half dozen bar stools, if even. It’s always cramped – I’ve never been here when there wasn’t a standing crowd. On the plus side, they’ll let you eat your Xi’an Famous Foods here if you get some booze.

A blink-and-you’ll-miss-it dive bar made for sports watching and beer drinking. Crammed in the same block as McSorley’s and Jimmy’s No.43, this similar bar provides a rotating beer selection and several tv’s with all the games on. Seating is limited, although this usually isn’t an issue on weeknights. No food here except some beef jerky they sell — which is delicious. But they’ll let you ORDERIN. That’s service!

I’ve never heard of a sports bar taking its name so literally. This bar had all of the NCAA basketball conference«Standings» written in chalk on the blackboard. I can’t imagine being the guy updating that board every single day, that is a tough detail oriented job. I would trust that guy to not leave any detail unturned and get me a maximum refund on my taxes. My woman loved the vintage college banners. I loved the fact that I couldn’t find any Yankees gear here and the place had a Mets tilt to it. Every little minute detail of this bar represents a passionate love for sports and the art of being a hardcore fan, which is something that truly feels refreshing in the East Village. The bartenders were great and the beer selection is rotating and original. I had a Naragansett and the fiancée had a beer called the Brewnette. If you are watching a game here expect a knowledgeable crowd that is here to talk sports. I was also impressed at the bartenders awareness, they know exactly what channel to flip to next after a game is over, leaving no break in the action. I’d imagine they plot out beforehand what channels they are going to flip to during the evening. This attention to detail is what separates Standings from a slew of other bars in the area.
