I visited Snice September 2013 but never got around to reviewing this amazing place. It is a small café style eatery with a large variety of vegan sandwiches and baked goods, I had a fall special which was a sweet potato kale burrito– amazing!!! I also shared a tempeh sandwich with a friend. They were extra generous with the portion of tempeh and pretty much got a whole block of tempeh in 1 order! The bread was perfectly crispy– exactly what you want Iin a good sandwich. Honestly’ some of the best vegan sandwiches I’ve ever had and I’ve been vegan for over 6 years! They have plates and jars of vegan baked goods all caked in house I believe(which is refreshing given that most other vegan restaurants in NY get desserts from vegan treats).I tried a pumpkin muffin and several other cookies. What stood out to me was a peanut butter & jelly cookie! They also serve a variety of vegan coffees made with non dairy alternatives Service was friendly. Prices are decent and I loved the décor, definitely will return in the future!

yes it may be staffed by straight-out-of-central-casting slacker hipster types, but at the end of the day the food and coffee are top notch. As a 20+ year vegetarian I often long for menu times that stretch the imagination and ‘Snice does a great job of that. Something as simple as the«meatball» parm hero is a game changer in the«just because I’m veg doesn’t mean I only eat salad» war on herbivores. They take great care to ensure they use solid ingredients, all natural sodas, etc and don’t come in too much more expensive then a crap bodega sandwich down the street. The have seamless available for pick up and delivery now so you can avoid any human contact if that aspect really bothers you(I personally do like the people there, but can get annoyed by the slow speed if I’m in a rush to get back to work). All in all I’m not sure there’s a better all-veg lunch spot in the city. Try it out and decide for yourself.

This pace is nice a cozy. Just off the corner of Houston and Sullivan. Menu is simple and the options are varied for any palate. Came for breakfast and enjoyed the tofu scramble wrap. Definitely a recommendable place!

A really nice veggie/vegan spot for a quick meal. This is my favorite of the 3 Snice locations(or 4). Love the sushi sandwich and the Philly Seitan sandwich. I wish it was a bit roomier, but this is an in an out sort of atmosphere. Service was tops. I look forward to exploring the menu more. Need to try dessert next time!

Love this place. I took my friend here because we were both trying to eat on the healthier side but this completely blew us away ESPECIALLY with the TRICOLORPANINI. 1) I have never tasted anything like the tri color, and each bite was so filling and it was the perfect amount of crunchiness and softness. The cheese really is key for the panini in my opinion! 2) the autumn salad was very good, but not the best. I liked the cheese of that also because it really kicked in the flavor for the entire salad! I do think it needs more pear, but other than that is was nice and tasty!

S’alright. They had some seriously great options on the menu for a veggie-lover like moi. I’m digging their vegan salads and will definitely be returning.

Great for vegetarians or vegans, or anyone looking for a light meal(they don’t have any meat options here). I’m a huge fan of the tempeh wraps. Even the side salad served with the food is pretty tasty. Service was really friendly and they have free wifi, so its a nice spot to do some reading or work during non-peak hours.

‘Snice succeeds in providing reasonably priced and delicious vegetarian/vegan food — great for lunch or a light dinner. I’ve never had a sandwich I did not like(try the Sushi Sandwich) & they also have fabulous salads! Service has always been genial and efficient. Premises are clean and pleasing aesthetically(save the weird bathroom that is only accessible via an outdoor staircase –avoid that).

I walked into this very clean and open space and took a long look at the chalkboard before asking for a recommendation. The woman working there went through the entire menu which I thought was really nice of her. Not knowing what I wanted, I chose something I normally wouldn’t go for. –Philly-Style Seitan with Cheese, Peppers & Onions: not bad. Seitan seems to be like tofu to me although it looks like a roast. It’s nicely spiced. The swiss cheese has an incredible poignant taste and mixes really well with the onions, peppers and seitan. The bread is nicely grilled and has a fresh flavor that doesn’t clash with the Philly. The accompanying salad is very fresh and the vinaigrette is quite flavorful. FINALVERDICT: Although I wasn’t full after my sandwich, I would definitely go back and try more because the ingredients are fresh and they are made pretty quickly. It’s also just a great study/work space.

I’ve been to a different ‘Snice location, but only had dessert. I finally ordered some real food — tempeh ruben, yum! This was my first vegan tempeh ruben and pretty good. They have a great selection of sandwiches most are vegan as is the same for the desserts. This location bench/chair seating and bar stools facing the street. The service was good. I definitely plan on going back.

I love this cute, cozy café with its amazingly well-crafted and super healthy vegan dishes. The portions are very generous, too, and the prices reasonable for Soho(~$ 9 for a sandwich, wrap, or salad). My top picks are definitely the quinoa salad and the curried cauliflower wrap. I tend to alternate between the wrap and salad versions of both, but I would highly recommend getting them with tofu for a protein kick and extra creaminess. I haven’t eaten in and usually get my food delivered or as a pick-up order when it’s nice out but the staff are very friendly and it’s quaint.

Super quality West Village veggie/vegan resto. Came here for lunch today and LOVED it. Got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was DELISH if not a TON of food for the afternoon. You definitely get your money’s worth, which is good since it’s about 9 buckaroos for that wrap. It comes with a small side salad and a pretty tasty wrap. Really loved the ranch with the hot sauce and the vegan chicken. Ambiance is cool. Very granola-y, if that makes any sense. Can’t wait to come back to try more of their fantastic vegan fare.

This place can make any meat eater a lover of all things veggie. I’m living proof. It’s the staple lunch spot for all the gals at work and the delivery is excellent. The delivery guys are awesome and pretty much our best friends at this point(even if they don’t know it yet). Everything here is so well made and packed with flavor that you really can’t go wrong. In fact, you should probably go here at least enough times to try everything on the menu. BUT, if you are looking for suggestions, order the following: Quinoa salad(add smoked tofu) Roasted vegetable panini with arugula & goat cheese(add smoked tofu), as a wrap Curried cauliflower wrap, as a salad Vegan morning glory muffin Fun fact: You can make anything as a salad or a wrap, just ask! Do yourself a favor and eat ‘sNice for your next«meatless Monday.»

‘Snice is a great great place for a sandwich, salad or soup. I had the ruben and it was so good. Clearly, it’s not like a meat-based ruben(not like I remember what that is!) but it was delicious and filling. My group seemed to really like the food and the desserts were quite delicious. I had a meet up there and recommend it for small groups(think less than 10 people in most cases — we had a pretty big group and made it work with folks in different areas and on the stools). Oh and I saw some comments that the staff was less than friendly — I disagree completely. Everyone was super nice. Great atmosphere. And yes, they play music — it makes it fun to me.

I’ve been a longtime customer of ‘snice in the West Village, and I’m happy to see that this location is cute and has an atmosphere all its own. It’s also – the times I went – a lot less crowded; the atmosphere is a lot more laid-back. Yesterday was the first time I made it over here. The greatest thing is that I already know the menu by heart; I can know what to expect and what to avoid. The soup of the day today – puréed winter vegetable – was excellent; I always get it with bread, but I have to say I wish they’d serve it with some wholegrain rather than a chunk of white baguette. The soup yesterday – chili – was more like minestrone. Not bad, not good, but calling it «chili» sets up expectations that aren’t bound to be met.(That was some one-alarm chili there!) The bathroom is outside and down a flight of stairs – a quirky touch – but at least they have one. I like the tin ceiling and shabby walls; if you’ve read my other reviews, you know I’m being honest about that. I also like that there weren’t so many mommies with toddlers or college kids here when I went. Still, it’s a great place to sit with a book.

I’m am not a hipster, nor a vegetarian… I have dreams about steakhouses and avoid Williamsburg. S’Nice provides fresh and healthy food with fast service. As a result I come here often for lunch, it makes me feel better about myself when I don’t have time for the gym and I’ve been sitting at my desk all day. I think to myself«I’m not working out or having any sort of physical activity today, BUT I ate something nutritious.» The choices are all vegetarian, but appetizing to the non vegetarians. Ive tried several sandwiches and I have yet to be disappointed. The atmosphere is trendy. They have communal seating and free wifi that makes it ideal for a meeting or catching up on work. The staff could not be anymore helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Had the Philly cheese steak sandwich with cheddar cheese. It was good, a little bland, perhaps could use a little sauce or something, but I will order it again because it is a good source of protein.

When I needed a place in SOHO to have a biz meeting, I did some searching for WIFI. ‘Snice came up, and seeing as they had fresh veggie options for food, it seemed a perfect match. Walking into the place, the layout or décor is kinda missing something. It’s very open, and somehow slightly austere? I went to grab a table, and the tables said«no laptops». Ok, hmmm… laptop toting is not as welcome as they advertised. Ok, find I’ll grab a bar seat location. Next problem, no outlets! Now I’m thinking, perhaps I should have gone to Think afterall. Next I went to order. I felt like a sandwich *and* a salad. So I asked if there was any way to get both, or are there *small* salads? Oh we can give you a sandwich and half salad. Great I though, so I fork over my $ 15. Out comes my sandwich with it’s own salad, so I got *two* salads. Duh! The food was quite good, I have to say. Quinoa Salad — ACES! My Fontina, Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto was also quite delicious. Food quality — four stars! My business meeting went well, despite the fact of booth seating. Odd as it felt, it worked out fine in the end. Interestingly, later a guy came to install artwork on the walls. I recognized one of the photos from burning man and asked the guy. Turns out he is the photographer artist who took them, and I have a postcard of his work framed in my house! We got to talking about burning man. His work is amazing( ), so if you get over to this SOHO ‘Snice, check it out! All in all my service experience at ‘Snice left me feeling a little left out. I didn’t stay long after finishing my sandwich and trecked off to Think.

Really good selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes(why the hell am I reviewing so many vegan/vegetarian places when my grandfather was a butcher and I couldn’t last a day without eating meat, you ask? Who knows) They have a nice selection of daily revolving salads and vegetables which are great. I also love the Curried Cauliflower Wrap, the Fontina Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto, and the Brie, Pear and Arugula sandwich. The only thing I hate is that it’s cash only and I almost NEVER have cash on me, which means a trip to ‘Snice must be preceeded by a trip to the ATM, where I’ll almost always get charged a fee … booooooo
