Lots of flavor options to choose from, and they do not disappoint. Such a lovely treat, and I’m so glad to see it popping up in various places around the city. Brigadeiro Bakery was great at accommodating my delivery order for my office. Also a cozy little spot to stop and have a bite and a cup of coffee anytime.

I love this place. if I could eat Brigadeiro’s all day long with no consequence, I would. Being half Filipino, these candies remind me of Yema’s. Very very similar, but have more variety. The owner is very sweet and you respect her hustle as an entrepreneur. The staff are also very accommodating. After ordering delivery on Caviar, I visited the store before the holidays and they threw in extra pieces of candy and Cheese bread. Delicious. The Brigadeiro cake is sinful. I can’t eat chocolate in large quantities and find this is the perfect sweet treat, which isn’t too sweet!

I was walking by and being a big fan of brigadeiros I had to stop, and I’m so god I did!!! The girl at the counter was sooo nice, and the brigadeiros where amazing!!! We bought 12 and ate them right away. We ordered the«two lovers», chocolate, coconut, dulce de leche and pistachio. My favorites were coconut and«two lovers». Will be definitely coming back!

I’ve ordered the 30 pieces box. I like the chocolate and the pistachio. The only reason why i’m giving them a 3 star is because of the representation of the product. The price of the 30 pieces box is 40 bucks but it doesn’t look good when it’s in a cheap pizza box flipped inside out. For what i’m paying i would at least expect a better box.

Stopped in on a whim after getting lunch nearby. Small, clean shop. The woman behind the counter was friendly — explained what the Brigadeiros were & suggested a good flavor to try. Just got a little box of 3 but they were great(ate them all myself in 2 minutes). Good choice, esp. if you’re looking for a dessert that’s a little different from your average cookie/cupcake.

It was amazing! The staff is extremely nice and the sweets are incredible! The espresso came with a free Brazilian truffle, which are 100 times better than they seem. This was my first time, but I’ll definitely be back.

Save your money and make your own. These weren’t very good and way over priced. There are like two ingredients to this dessert, and these were bland. Not only that but they weren’t stored in a cool place and they were using a fan to cool them down, which is totally gross!

It was my first time having a brigadeiro, and I have to say that I’m hooked! A brigadeiro, to me, is like a Brazilian truffle. When you walk in, you notice that it’s a pretty small joint with the display of brigadeiros in front of you and a smiling woman behind the counter. For my first time, I asked her what her three favorites were, as I only planned on getting the box of three, and she happily told me to get the pistachio, coconut, and bahia. It was about $ 8 – 9 if my memory is correct, and I think it was completely worth it. I took a bite of the pistachio, and I was shocked to find that while the brigadeiro looks firm on the outside, it melts away as you bite down into it and you’re met with a creamy interior. I liked how the pistachio made sure that it wasn’t overly sweet, but rather well balanced in terms of flavor. Passing the coconut to my friend, the minute she took a bite, I knew that she was hooked too. Her face resembled a foodgasm, as she told me how the texture of her’s was also amazingly creamy with a strong coconut presence. She finished that sucker in two bites. My least favorite was the bahia, but being that I’m not the biggest coffee fan, that was understandable. The outer crust was bitter with a coffee like flavor, but the interior had a sweet chocolate, which was relief for me. I’d definitely come back to try the other flavors that they have here. They’re not the cheapest, but it sure beats the plane ticket down to Brazil to experience culture like this.

Surprising little find of these delicacies, Brazilian truffles. Perfect size to satisfy the sweet tooth without guilt. Had the pistachios truffle and the Pao de QueIjo, cheese bread made with tapioca flour. Lovely décor and friendly staff. The Brigadeiros make great gifts without the worries of outside temp like the chocolates

My beautiful Brazilian wife and I were walking in SoHo and decided that we needed treats. Lo and behold, there was a brigadeiro shop… in our direction. How exciting! We walked the few blocks there and were kindly greeted by the ladies at the counter. They were both extremely helpful with explaining the flavors and the selection to me. We chose 6 of the flavors and were really excited to try them all. My favorite of the flavors was, of course, coconut; I like coconut anything. We didn’t feel as though we got any significant value coming here, and honestly, the rest of the brigadeiro were alright. My wife, being from Brazil, knows good brigadeiro, and I feel like I do too since I have been there and tasted several different kinds. I am not sure if the chef cooked the condensed milk a little long, or if it was just the hot and humid weather, but I felt as though some of them were really grainy instead of the smooth silky texture that I know brigadeiro to be.

Great little place with an invitingly charming exterior — and an even more intriguing free check-in deal! I got the honey-almond and it was amazing; I’d never had brigadeiros before, but I think I’m a convert. I’ve already recommended the place with full confidence to a Brazilian friend who lives nearby. I’ll definitely be back to try some of the more traditional chocolate flavors and their lauded sandwiches! A treat that’s extra sweet for free… but definitely worth paying for.

I am following the review by Paul A. and he pretty much hits the nail on the head. I find the consistency of the brigadeiros to be pretty much like fudge, rather than a chocolate truffle. To me, the chocolate was the best of the bunch. The honey flavored cookie sandwich that is something like a alfajore(the homemade kind, not Havanna) was the best thing we sampled. The owner makes a pretty good iced latte. A nice small business worthy of your custom.

This is an amazing little place that I hope has a long life in NYC. They sell these Brazillian candies called Brigadeiros that are, in actuality, little balls of flavored dulce de leche dipped in stuff and yes, they are as awesome as that sounds. Both the brigadeiro cookie sandwiches and the brigadeiros themselves are pretty delicious. If you want to try the candy in its pure form definitely go for the actual brigadeiros. My favorites are: Pistachio, Honey + Almond, Dulce de Leche. This is a pretty unique treat and I don’t blame people for not really knowing what the place is all about, but it is as good as it gets for this kind of candy in NYC and I have to say I am really impressed by the range of different styles and flavors. Definitely going for the oreo and chocolate brigadeiros next time.

Stop in for the most authentic brigadeiro I’ve had in manhattan(outside of homemade). They make classic chocolate as well as a variety of flavors such as pistachio, coconut and almond. They make a variety of other treats as well, and serve espresso. When I checked in on Unilocal,I received an offer for one free brigadeiro… score!

I before e except after d apparently. The display was about half-empty at 11:45am the day before Valentine’s, but I was the only customer. Sweet lady explained they were previously producing in another space on MacDougal(gMaps gets confused), and O Café is/was their largest customer. Snagged a free Bahia brigadeiro with Unilocal checkin, and it was quite good, so will be back to the nice little space for a gift in the future.

A little cute bakery. It was V-day, and I decided to get chocolates from this new place. I got a classic Brigadeiro selection box with 6 different kinds($ 14 + tax). I didn’t know what to choose, so I asked them to fill the box with their favorites. It looked so tiny and cute in the box! I tried a couple of them– texture was so soft, and I liked that it wasn’t too sweet like many other chocolates. A little pricey, but it makes a great gift!
