Friendly staff, good food, EXCELLENT selection. Salads, sandwiches, soups, buffet, etc. It can almost be labeled as the place to go when you really don’t know what you want to eat. From the burritos, to the heroes, to the ridiculous salad combinations, I always try something different here.

Average service and nothing special about his place. It seems that it’s mainly for delivery because they do not give a lot of attention to customers. This is my second time here and customer service is the same– don’t care much — just place an order. There are a million better restaurants in the area so they won’t be seeing again.

Underwhelming selection with mediocre execution… nothing terrible, but overall a great reminder of how fortunate I am to not work in Midtown

I’ve actually never visited Shelley’s in person, but have been ordering catering from them for years. They are ALWAYS on time(seriously, they’ve never been late), the food is wonderful and the menu is extensive(we’re talking 45 page PDF). They’ve also saved my ass on more than one occasion with last minute orders. You can’t beat the variety, quality and customer service of Shelley’s!

This place is special. All over the city you find places that slap around a sandwich and throw it at you. This place doesn’t fresh ingredients + care = success try it for yourself it’s special

Usually I stop in for lunch when all of the other places in the area have lines outside of the door. The hot buffet is a hit or miss. Good for a quiet lunch as they have seating upstairs. It isn’t crowded on most days so you can get a seat to eat and enjoy your meal. I usually go with the chicken noodle soup or lobster bisque. I didn’t like the tortellini as it lacked flavor.

Finding a place in Midtown during the height of lunch hour is a pain but I can always depend on Shelley’s to grab something quick, healthy and hot! Also, as an administrative assistant, I’ve been able to order from their catering menu and have always gotten rave reviews within the office/from clients.

A woman on the corner was giving out cards for a 20% discount, so I thought I’d try it out. There was another woman offering free samples. When I first came in, I noticed that it wasn’t very crowded, but over the past two weeks I’ve noticed more people coming in, which is good. If I were rating solely on the food, I would give this place 3.5 stars. The hot buffet is decent. The turkey is pretty good, as are the steamed veggies. The fried chicken was okay, as was the rice. If you are lucky to be there on a day it is being served, I’d recommend the Spanish rice, which is more flavorful than the other kinds of rice. I haven’t tried the sandwiches or soups, so I can’t say anything about them. There is a small dining area on the second floor. The tables say«Bistro Café,» which I am guessing was the previous business located there, or maybe they changed their name. The area is clean and the tables are arranged well(no overcrowding), so I am fine with that. I will bump this place up to 4 stars because of the staff. The cashiers have been friendly, polite, and efficient. You can tell that the staff is really trying hard, and they are succeeding.

I am so disgusted and disappointed. I found a stink bug in my salad. This place is gross do not eat here. See my picture. The stink bug looks like the chef carelessly chopped it up with salad. I still ate my salmon and it was alright. They pay to remove 1 star reviews.

It’s become my go-to lunch place just because of the proximity to the office and the variety of food on the line. I’ve only eaten from the hot and cold bars here, but I’m really pleased. For breakfast, their overnight oats topped with some fresh berries are consistently good. They also have a serious spread of hot breakfast foods, but I haven’t gotten around to them yet. At lunch time, the spinach pie and any variety of proteins from salmon to sausage and peppers to meat loaf all hit the spot. It’s especially great on those days when you get caught up in work and don’t get out for lunch until later. After 3PM, the hot and cold bars are half-off.

Place is inconsistent. Sometimes food is good, sometimes bad. There online ordering never works and it is difficult to communicate with the staff.

Great location for breakfast and lunch, not forgetting CATERING!!! Our sales person there is Angela, we’ve been working with her for several years now. Could reach on her cell or email her at anytime or call the main line ask for Angela. If you’re looking to plan a small last minute meeting or a office get together or even sending food off site give them a call. The staff is very friendly, so are the delivery guys and Catering Team. Wide variety available for breakfast and lunch. Go see for yourself!!!

Just a simple good deli really. I go out lunch a few times a week and I usually end up stumbling here because of the selection. They have salads, soups, hot buffet, or make your own sandwiches. I’m big with the sandwich because they have so many options and there’s a free pickle and can of soda too. Not too shabby for midtown

I’ve bought lunch here twice recently, first from the cold self-serve bar, then a tossed salad. The quality of the food is average, pretty much what you’d expect from any random midtown deli. My tossed salad was small and all veggie, and I included avocado and a hard-boiled egg. I was surprised that it was almost $ 9; my old«go-to» salad place near Herald Square was more like $ 7, and even across the street at fancy Chop’d I don’t pay more than $ 10. Further, I wasn’t paying close attention to the preparation, and I when I got back to my desk I realized that the egg yolk and avocado were still whole. I’m not picky, but when I pay $ 9 for a veggie salad, I do expect that I won’t have to finish preparing it before I eat it. You can do better in this neighborhood.

Stopped in for breakfast. The have a huge selection of hot foods(potatoes, meats, eggs, pancakes, french toast), cold foods(fruits, yogurts, etc) and an oatmeal bar. The also have bagels and pastries with a good number of cream cheese options. They have a counter, so if you don’t want the quick and grab type bar, you can get something custom. The oatmeal had banana foster as a topping option, which i thought was kind of neat. I got a veggie wrap(broccoli, muchroom, egg white and manchester cheese in wheat wrap) and side of homefries. Along with some fruit and coffee. Wrap was great. Very healthy tasting. Potatoes had a nice flavor without being heavy in grease or salt. Fruit was good. Coffee good(I mixed kona and vanilla hazelnut.) Over all nice breakfast. Total bill $ 8. I was happy.
