I came here because I had ordered a bagel through their online website.(It was a sliced, toasted cinnamon bagel with fat free cream cheese.) They call it fast pick up or something like that. What I enjoy about ordering online is that you can determine when you want the item. So you can order an item in the morning but list it for a 6pm pick up for dinner instead. I had ordered mine for 5pm but decided to show up 10 minutes prior. The reason being is that items are made then placed on a shelf for anyone to take. The staff doesn’t ask questions which means anyone off the street can eat your food. I didn’t want this to happen so I made sure to be early. What I dislike the most besides the lack of security was that they make you butter or spread the cream cheese yourself. All I want is that to be done ahead of time and it’s not that hard or complicated. Overall the store is nice though not easy to find even with Unilocal

Food was great! Lunch time the dine-in space was a little packed but didn’t wait long to get a seat and I really enjoyed the meal. After I went back to my office, I realized that I forgot my scarf on the seat. It was a designer brand and I would hate to loose it. Called the supervisor Andrew(sorry forgot his last name), and he was super patient and helpful. He found it right away and saved it for me to come back and pick up. One more reason to love Panera! Thank you very much Andrew!!!

I placed an order for delivery at 11:45 and was told that it would arrive by 12:30. It took an hour and a half for the food to arrive and when i called customer service to talk to them about it — they told me that there was nothing they could do for me. The food that did arrive was cold and the sandwich was only half of the sandwich i had ordered. INCREDIBLYRUDE. I literally had quicker delivery from a place twice as far away this past saturday during a BLIZZARD. Order from anywhere else and get it faster.

I came to this store and started with a cup coffee around 11:20am and it was fairly empty. I got on a call and the call went on for around 40min. After the call, around 12:00, I notice the crowd picking up, with only few empty tables left. I opened my computer and planned to log in, quickly check my emails and then try to order lunch online to avoid the crowd in the line. After I set up my laptop, manager came by, flat out and told me there was a 45min wait for a seat and essentially asked me to leave. Meanwhile, there was an empty table next to me. Without a word, I packed up and left. The coffee is always mediocre at panera and food is always overpriced, I go there because of the convenience to use my laptop. Anyway, it gets a one in my book because there got to be a better way to approach a customer than what I encountered.

Very very very rude workers. I don’t care how much you hate your job if your going to work a job like this your first priority should be making peoples day. Only reason I actually came here is I wanted some soup to warm me up. Their portions are soooooo small and when i asked why they said something about health blah blah. If you want america to get healthy make stuff cheaper! My french onion soup tastes a lot better then yours and it only costs a couple of dollars to make extra for two. Don’t even bother wasting ur money. Not worth it.

Do you know that beautiful looking picture of the hot chocolate mug with the chocolate chip mushrooms? If you order it from THIS Panera, you will get a cup of something that looks like someone sneezed. Plus. it taste like water. Just a terrible disappointment. :(

One star for run of the mill products. One star for speedy service. The manager,(I think he is because of all his keys) is going around telling people not to stay more than 45 minutes past their purchase. Literally asking people to leave when there is plenty of space. Ive worked in multiple industries before and customer service is absolutely paramount to the success of any establishment. Staff need to be aware that their jobs rely on the customers desire to eat there. Smdh bad form!

In most cases Panera is Panera. But this particular location is a step up from a few others I’ve had lunch at in the City. Here’s why… + They have at least 4 working kiosks to order food from. Who wants to wait in line for their sandwich. try the kiosk! It’s credit card/gift card payment only but its so much easier than standing in line during the busy times. + Speaking of… they plan for the lunch rush. Not only are managers wandering around keeping things organized but they have things like cups readily available at the kiosks. Seriously, if you’re just popping in for a iced green tea or a coffee — order at the kiosk and grab a cup, you’ll be in and out so quickly. + They put together meals quickly too. I had barely ordered my sandwich and made it to the iced tea machine before they called my name for pickup. + The place is pretty large and there are at least three different dining areas plus stools along the window up front. In addition to the notes above — my sandwich was kinda thrown together and not toasted like I thought it was going to be… but still tasted good, the iced green tea was refreshing, and the dining room clean.

I come here for lunch on the reg. No matter if you stay or take your food to go, your food comes in to go containers which takes away from the comfy café vibes that typical paneras have. This is because of the lunch rush and efficiency but if I stay and eat my food at panera, I want to eat my soup out of the over sized bowl with real silverware. The staff is very pushy. They are constantly telling people to squish together as to not take up too much space. All in all, food is usually good.

Panera still remains one of my favorite chains, as they have reliable and decent seating, wifi, and the food is pretty good(even though frozen). I love their Mac n Cheese, the muffies(muffin tops!), and the Spinach and Bacon Soufflé. This location does have really long lines during lunch, so skip it if you see a line.

Café 1571 Lunch after the library enables an appetite. This location is conveniently opposite New York Public Library’s Mid-Manhattan branch on Fifth Avenue. I was never a fan of Panera Bread. With the interest of budget, time and distance self-serve seem less costly than table service restaurant setting? Panera Bread is surely overpriced and sandwich portions are microscopic small as a local deli enables more bread and more filling for your dollar. Party of two lunch was mediocre and very greasy oily. Our order for two people is accurate but that does not compensate for the mediocre food quality. For Him: Tomato Mozzarella sandwich $ 5.99 One bottle soda $ 1.99 One bag of chips– free For Her: Italian flatbread sandwich $ 8.79– Pesto was swimming with oil and grease. One Green Tea $ 2.99 One chocolate chip cookie $.99 One bag of chips– free We did not eat our fill due to the microscopic portions and overpriced plaguing issue. No substance here. Not a solid meal. However, I admire their pastry for breakfast on-the-go New York minute lifestyle. This recent visit enables further my reasonable explanation for my dislike of Panera Bread chain cafes.

They totally skimped me out of a full sandwich, before I realized I was already back at work. I died from starvation that day and my vengeful spirit is writing this review

I really love Panera, but this location is the worst talking about customer service. I have to made 3 orders(about $ 100 total) because they can’t put more than 4 items in 1 order(???) Two of them came incomplete and the people who serve me blame me to try to stole the food that I missed for my orders. I feel so humiliated, I ask them to go and check my table and see what food I had and what hadn’t. Finally got all my food but not fair for a loyal customer(I visit Panera more that 3 times a month) Sadly I forgot to give my rewards number to get a full following of my orders(They never asked for it) Hope this is the only location with this horrible customer service

As Peter Griffin would say… You know what grinds my gears? When I ask for a toasted bagel and you tell me your toaster oven is broken. It has been two weeks now! I came here two weeks ago and asked for the same thing and they told me their oven is broken. Fine. Two weeks later, I gave it another shot and bam, it slapped me in the face again. I don’t how they manage to serve breakfast when their oven is broken. Having a toasted bagel is like having a cup of Joe in the morning. At least their coffee is working. P. S. — Panera Corporate needs to reassess the management style here. Something is terribly off with this location compare to other Paneras I’ve been to.

A big fat A for efficiency here. I don’t know if I’m just used to the slow-moving Paneras of Westchester, but this Panera gets you in and out faster than you can say«Fresh Baked». The line is very well snaked, they’ve hired a man whose sole job is to direct our poor misguided souls to the next available cashier, AND there’s an idiot-proof computer screen in the waiting area listing everyone’s name and when their order is ready. I think they’re on to something with this strategy to treat customers as if we’re on the intellectual level of a herd of sheep. Genius. I am a Panera regular, and I feel the need to take a second to pay homage to the Turkey Bacon Bravo sandwich. BRAVO, INDEED. This is by far the best little half-sandwich I have ever eaten at a chain restaurant. The tomato basil bread is unreal — the crust has a hint of sweetness and the meat of the bread is perfectly soft. The dressing, cheese and turkey complement each other better than the three stooges. My life has never been the same since I took my first bite. Finally, I owe Panera a big thanks, because I’m pretty sure they’ve helped me identify the stalker I never knew I had. No joke, there is ALWAYS a Kevin listed after my name on the screen. *Shudder*

Nike and I come here sometimes when we want to have a quick meal to catch up. I like how they do have multiple ways to order — online, through the app, in the store’s computer or the old fashioned way of getting on a line and ordering. The food is decent quality, if you ever been to Cosi they offer similar types of food except Panera Bread has a bakery in which you buy freshly made bread. Their sandwiches, pastas, and soups are decently priced but personally I believe the quality of their food has gone down but they keep raising the prices. And I missed the old Pick 2 menu where it was a bit cheaper and had more options. But if you do plan on visiting often or work close by, it is a convenient option and download the app or get a loyalty card to earn rewards. I do notice, that depending on the location, the set up is different. In this location, you order near the entrance and go towards the back where you can make your tea or coffee if you purchased one. And they have a little queue where if you ordered ahead it would be waiting for you in a chubby or the person will hand you the food. Be sure to double check because I am yet to have a time where they did not mess up my order. The downstairs has all of the seating area and the restrooms.

What the other reviews say are true: they have people asking if you will order anything and basically trying to kick you out. One time I finished my frozen mocha quickly because I was thirsty. Took less than for minutes before someone told me I have to order something or leave like a sergeant telling a cadet to put up or quit. I said okay. He responded with«you have to make a decision» and walked away. It gets better. So I made my decision and promptly ordered a drink online via the app. The guy came back and told me «you have to make a decision. You see all these people waiting man» I told him I ordered online. Then he physically followed me to see me pick up the drink. And by the way, I could see unoccupied tables. So I learned to not finish my drink quickly since this was one of the best places to study and work with an abundance of electrical outlets. Note the past tense. They decided to tape up the outlets, in effect kicking people out. I have honestly never been to a Panera Bread this rude and obnoxious. The place needs new management before its too late.

Panera recently launched some Asian-inspired broth bowls. I tried the Soba Noodle Bowl with chicken. It tasted pretty good, but not worth ordering again. The bowl had overcooked soba buckwheat noodles and topped with spinach, napa cabbage blend, roasted mushroom and onion blend, sesame seeds, and cilantro. The bowl had maybe about 10 pieces of rather dry chicken in umami soy-miso broth. The broth tasted like watered down soy sauce.

I used to eat Panera quite often back in Georgia, but this is the first time I’ve had it in NYC. Luckily it’s nearby, so I placed an online order since I had $ 5 off of their new«broth bowls». They have an interesting system of ordering and picking up — if you haven’t already ordered online, you can order through a regular register/cashier or use their kiosks — tablets for you to order yourself! The pick up area is in the back — theres cubbies with letters for you to just simply pick up your order when it is done(online and I guess when it’s busy) and handy dandy TV screens to show you who’s order is up next and who’s is already complete. My advice is to order ahead during peak(lunch) hours. The soba broth bowl was mediocre — if I wanted good soba for that price(around $ 9 for chicken) I would just go to a real Japanese soba place — it’s not much more. Soba was thick but too soggy. Broth tasted a bit artificial. The chicken had little to no taste. The quantity was a little on the stingy side. I also had the carrot cupcake(free) which is almost 700 calories and totally not worth those calories. Not a good carrot cake — you could probably get a better one at Duane Reade or something. It’s frosted AND filled with bleh tasting sugary overly sweet goop. I had their iced coffee this morning(free) and it was decent, but for comparison(take out eatery coffee), I’d much rather have Pret iced coffee. Cool ordering system, large restaurant, decent service, but the food leaves much to be desired.
