Pad Thai was horrible, plus they forgot parts of the order! Very bad experience. Pad Thai was like chewing rubber noodles, peanut sauce for Satay was like water.

Where do I even begin with this place? It took over two hours for them to deliver my food. When it finally arrived, EVERYTHING was wrong with my Pad Kee Mao(basil noodles). It was soggy, smelly, tasteless, cold and contained unidentifiable pieces of meat. Needless to say, it went into the trash. And the worst thing about it was, the food in the trash stank up the entire office kitchen. No bueno.

Looks like this place changed their name to Abaya Thai(based on Seamless and their website redirect). I ordered delivery from here and the food was just flat-out awful. Aw. Ful. The thai iced tea was watery and had no milk in it(just tea and lots of sugar?). The pineapple fried rice was the blandest thing I’ve ever tasted. The spring rolls were TINY and we only got a few pieces. And they didn’t bring us any rice for the mussamun curry, despite the fact that you have to choose what type of rice you want when you place the Seamless order. To top that all off, this place had a 5-star Seamless rating, based on 105 ratings and NO reviews(until I just went on there and gave them one). Honestly, the food was terrible regardless, but based on the fact that this place is listed under so many different names and has a multitude of presumably bogus ratings on Seamless, I’m calling BS. Definitely never ordering from here again.

Absolute crap. It’s the equivalent of «American Chinese food» for Thai. Bland, fatty noodles in sugary sauce with no flavour or spice.

The food was so bad. So so bad. Why was my pad thai red? Out of 4 people that ordered from here at lunch only one could muster up a «meh». The rest not quite as pleased. Seriously, do not trust seamless on this one.

Our family with two teenagers(one very picky eater) were staying across the street and just wanted decently-priced Asian food. I had the Thai noodle soup, which was generously filled with rice noodles & vegetables; my husband loved his generous serving of PadThai: my son enjoyed the Royal Thai soup, also packed with flavorful vegetables, and even my dot loved her beef with Thai brown sauce combo, which came with yummy cute spring rolls, some delicious dumplings, and clear soup. We spent about $ 60 for 4 and left very full. Our server was kind, if a bit soft spoken, but the quiet atmosphere made for a nice family meal.

I had to join Unilocal just to warn people off on this place. Ordered the Pad See Eil(Drunken Noodle), Tom Yum Koong(Shrimp Soup), and Thai Iced Coffee via seamless. The coffee and soup were okay. Nothing to write home about. The drunken noodle was gritty, as if they did not wash the vegetables that went in it. Save your dental work and avoid this place.

I’ll agree with the others, nothing to write home about, nothing too amazing. It’s here because there is no other Thai spot nearby. I’ve tried a several dishes from their lunch menu and also their boxes and the food was always«okay». The noodle dishes are really weak flavor wise. It’s so so. If you want Thai badly, then get it, but you might be a little disappointed.

Not Real Thai food. Maybe a few thai people in the kitchen but there was Chinese music playing in the place and the food was close to Thai but it was not at all. Priced about 7 bucks higher than other real thai restaurants that are within walking distance. Most of the employees were Chinese also. I had pad thai and tom kaa soup with thai tea. The tom kaa was watered down and bland. The pad thai tasted like someone used a entire bag of sugar in it. The thai tea was not fresh it was from a premade bag not from fresh thai tea grounds. Look elsewhere.

I like to come to this place and I always order the box combination first they bring you a small soup to start. Then the main dish plate which one is divide in four sections. First of all it brings meat with sauce of your choice a like mango sauce with chicken; second, small dumplings I love it; third section mini spring vegetable rolls my favorites; and fourth section salad I am very picking to eat salad in restaurants I never finish their salad. In addition there is a rice side of your choice. It sound a lot of food but it is good for a lunch. If you are the kind of person who like to try different natural juice I recommend you lychee juice. I love this fruit! It is a small place but I always come to this restaurant when I am in this area and order the combination box. Very economic place as well.

SOOOBAD. I had a noodle dish. I forget what it’s called. It was VERYSALTY and there were egg shells in the dish!!! I was soo turned off after 3 bites. It is on the cheap side about generally 7 — 10 per dish but I’ve had thai food for that price that was MUCHMUCH better than this place! The service was ok. Not pushy at all. But I recommend that you just don’t come here.

RUDEST delivery guy ever. I missed his call the first time but immediately proceeded downstairs where he was nowhere to be found. In the five minutes it took me to look for him, he had called me 8 times. When I finally found him(he decided to come out of hiding), he proceeded to lecture me about how«When I say you come down, you come down. Not other way around.» I’m sorry, what? I could barely understand his english. My doorman had to tell him to chill out and leave my building. Jesus. That’s enough to tell you how much this restaurant cares about its customers. This guy should be fired. If I hadn’t pre-tipped him, i wouldn’t have tipped him ATALL. Rude people. The bad food reviews should be evident enough that this place is not worth visiting. The food doesn’t taste fresh, and if you actually want«thai» food, this place has no idea what it’s doing. The drunken noodles tasted like bad Chinese take out noodles… you would think that with the millions of thai places out there, this one would have figured out what drunken noodles are, but nope.

Ignore the 1 star review, should be 0 stars!!! Placed an order online and inquired an hour after placed where my delivery was and was told it was dispatched. 2 hours later, called and inquired where my delivery was and was told it was left with the door man, LIES. Liars! Never delivered my order and blamed me for not being responsible and picking up the food from the door man/front area where it was left. Day later, calls to apologize and blames the delivery person who delivered the order. No complimentary meal to appease my hunger and anger. Awful.

Definitely avoid. I went in here randomly, seeking refuge from the rain. I ordered a basic beef Pad Thai. Mushy, cloyingly sweet, and ketchup-y, it was one of the worst Pad Thais I’ve ever had. Even in Midtown, there’s much better Thai in the immediate area. The best part of my meal was the head cover it gave me from the rain.

Healthful, light, but not-at-all-tasty Thai food. The bland, grey, watery Tom Kha Gai with absolutely NO coconut(or any) taste at all was the greatest disappointment. We were hoping for a rich, yellow, creamy Tom Kha Gai. But if what you want is a bland, watery, low-salt soup from a restaurant(rare!) here it is. While this is not what you expect a Thai coconut soup to be, it’s not totally awful. Like I said: Light and healthful… but watery and not at all tasty. The Green Curry Beef: same story: Light and healthful, but NO green curry taste at all — I mean zero! But that also means nothing rich or creamy. So if you have to avoid rich food but still want Thai food, well you may be the person who really wants what Royal Thai Cuisine has to offer: The lightest and least tasty Thai food you will ever find. Not for us.

Seamless had this place as a top rating — are they kidding? The food was DISGUSTING! No flavor, mushy, awful texture, overall embarrassing. The service was SLOW! Not only did the order come late — but it came with some of my soup spilled in the bag. The whole experience sucked and was underwhelming. I threw it away — I wouldn’t give it to my dog.

Call me old fashioned, but I like my food to not make me want to regret getting up in the morning. I went to Royal Thai because seamless had it atop their rating system. Whoever developed the algorithm that determined it was 5-star that should be taken out back and given a stern tongue lashing. There were at least 7 that I saw rated 3 or below, but the main page read 5. I had the seafood soup against my better judgment(soup is not a main course no matter what is in it; it’s an appetizer at best) and the beef fried rice. The soup wasn’t within range of the flavor galaxy and the«fried» rice was mushy and the beef made my eyes sad. Plus, they didn’t even throw in a few sauce packs just in case someone needed a little kick in their meal. In the end, I’m really not mad at them, I’m mad at myself. I need to do a more thorough job of vetting my eating establishments if I want to be Elite again. I got the sick reviews down tho, amirite?

Pretty bad! They had the quickest delivery time on Seamless so I got swayed — but their papaya salad is just packet sauce and chopped chillis — so I threw away the box as is and couldn’t eat due to the spice level, their pad thai had mushrooms and babycorn — how is that Thai, and their fried tofu was not good either — overall the food is just really not good at all! While we requested plates and cutlery, for an office delivery, they still didn’t send those.

*Take-Out only* I’ve ordered food a few times from here last year and the taste, the presentation, the quality of food wasn’t so bad neither was their customer service, but man the food that I am having as I’m writing this review, poor quality and no effort sums it up. After walking around for 10 minutes, I decided to return to Royal II and I was curious to know the size of their«Thai sesame cold noodles» and the mean middle-aged woman thought I was placing an order and I was said«no, I just want to know how big it is» and she looked a little annoyed and I was only asking about the size. Next, I opted for their drunken noodles with calamari and a Thai iced tea. The Thai iced tea was definitely not filled to the top, there was still room for a little more of the Thai ice tea but for whatever reason, they decided to stop at a certain point. I ate most of the drunken noodles with calamari right now and I was quite disappointed when I opened the container of noodles because it was such a mess and I know that when you order take-out, the food isn’t always presented nicely, but you know what? Sometimes it should! As I started eating the drunken noodles, I grew to dislike it. It was messy and over salted. The Chinese broccoli wasn’t prepared properly because there were a bits of it that weren’t edible at all. The only thing I will say that was good about this lunch was the calamari they were cut perfectly and weren’t overcooked. I don’t think I will be ordering lunch from here again nor will I dine in either. The customer service and the food wasn’t pleasant at all. I highly recommend to not come here at all for Thai food. It’s not worth it.

Yep, 4 stars for delivery. My friend lives on 45th and 8th, says she orders from here all the time. Then I saw they were highly rated on Grub Hub, so we put in an order for a group of 4. The food arrived 20 minutes after I sent it in and was delicious. We got: Drunken Noodles(Pad See Ewe) with beef: Very satisfying, beef was delicious, could have come with more of the Chinese broccoli but overall excellent Massaman Curry with Chicken: Your standard massaman curry — coconut peanuty sauce, generous amounts of chicken. Red Curry with Chicken: not as sweet as the massaman curry, so I liked this one better. Crispy Duck: This was delicious and the skin of the duck was indeed crispy. This was the only one where I thought the portion was small consider the price(around $ 15). We also got an order of edamame and with 15% tip, it came out to $ 60 total. None of the portions were huge but the 4 of us were stuffed afterwards. $ 15 a person for satisfying Thai food that pretty much arrived instantly — can’t complain about that.
