During my three day visit in NYC this is where I had my best dinner. Food was awesome! Menu is modern/farm to table type American. Service was very good as well. I like how service was helpful and attentive to my table but not to much like how some places can be. I got the goat cheese gnocchi for my first course and the duck confit for my entrée. Both was very good, the duck was one of the best I’ve had. Me and my wife shares the gingerbread with sautéd apples and ice cream. =) go here. You will not be disappointed

What a place! My friend booked this place for her bday dinner celebration. We were a group of 11 so we got a private table in the front. The décor was very very chic, very new York lol. There was bread butter and a cheese spread on the table when we got there. Because we were a larger group we had a price fixed menu which included family style apps, a choice of 3 entrees and family style desserts. So the apps were a delish kale apple and pumpkin seed salad, assorted olives and almonds, jumbo shrimp in a garlic sauce.(There might have been one other thing but I cannot recall right now). The entrée choices were rib eye steak, sea bass and chicken breast. Most got the ribeye or the sea bass and everyone loved their food. My steak was cooked perfect and the roasted potato it came with was delish as well. Everyone basically licked their plates clean. Then of course we had a birthday cake which was vanilla with a Carmel and seasonal jam filling. Also scrumptious were the fancy whoopie pies and cookies. We all left stuffed that’s for sure! The drinks were good too. Expensive but its NYC so its kind of expected and they weren’t watered down or weak by any means. I gave this place five stars not only for the amazing food and ambiance but also the service. We were a larger group, loud at times and silly and the waitors never seemed annoyed or bothered and they were always on top of drinks and filling up the waters. Very attentive and friendly. I would love to come back with my husband for a special occasion dinner date!

Generous portions but… …they charge you for bread. Seriously. Six bucks. While off putting to say the least, the food was very good and the portions quite generous. The wine list was modest but there were some good options. Service was very good. It is very loud so if you are going for a quiet dinner this may not be the spot. The roof for after dinner drinks is a must.

I made reservations here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and I’m glad to say I had chose this place. We started off with their housemade honey wheat bread and grilled octopus appetizer. I would recommend those two as starters. They are not too heavy nor filling and taste delicious. For entrées, I had grilled black sea bass and my boyfriend had the grilled grass fed ribeye steak. One thing we both agreed on was that our food was rather salty, but we were still able to finish our entire meal. The sea bass was moist and went well with the potatoes, clams and chorizo in the plate. My boyfriend said the steak was tender towards the middle, but again, they could ease down on the salt. For dessert, we had the passion fruit trifle and it was creamy and sweet. The service provided was spectacular. We were helped by Kyle and he did a great job serving us. We also met a gentleman who we believe manages the restaurant. He definitely knows how to keep the place running well. He makes conversations with the customers and assures that everything is running smoothly. We did share our opinions on the meals to him but mainly had good things to say about this place. Thank you for giving us the dessert on the house in celebration of my boyfriend’s birthday! We made a promise to dine here again on our next trip here. The check came to $ 160(including 2 merlots and a coke & rum), with 25% tip and I gotta say that is not too bad at all. After dinner, we went up to the rooftop bar and had a few more drinks. The view of the city from the rooftop is gorgeous. We certainly had a great experience here, so I absolutely recommend this place!

Well first I was sitting next to the bathroom but was moved at request so that was nice. It’s a really beautiful modern restaurant. The food was ok to me. I wasn’t as impressed with it as I was with the surroundings of the restaurant. The drinks were delicious. The best part was the rooftop view afterwards. It’s always lovely to be on a rooftop in New York City and this one was appreciated. Perhaps I will go there again on a special occasion or for drinks and a lovely rooftop view in the summer.

The customer service was top notch from the start. I made a reservation from open table and requested a private table. Even though some of our party did not show up they set us up with a gorgeous table. The cocktails and food were a little pricey but well worth it. For an appetizer we had the octopus. Delicious. For my dinner I had the black Sea bass. Excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. There is also a rooftop bar at this location called Press. We went there afterwards. What a great experience.

I had one of the best culinary experiences of my life at Print! As a self-proclaimed foodie my criteria is very high. Let me start by saying that the ambiance is beautiful. Very New York. I enjoyed a early evening dinner before seeing a show with my sister and mother. We were greeted promptly and pleasantly and checked our coats. While my sister was running late my mom and I sat and nibbled on some sweet potato bread with goat cheese butter. I should have known then just how amazing our meal would be. From the goat cheese gnocchi with pancetta appetizer to the seared scallops atop cauliflower purée with shaved brussels, kale, and a blood orange pomegranate vinaigrette, I was amazed over and over. Without going into too much detail I can tell you the food was fresh, beautifully presented and seasoned to perfection. However, aside from the amazing food the shining moment in my experience was the service. The front of the house manager checked on our table during our entrees to make sure we were pleased. As we were leaving and waiting for our coats, the manager again asked if we enjoyed ourselves. She also inquired if we were going to see a show that night. I told her yes that we were treating my mother to a special night out. Upon hearing this she looked shocked and said, «But I didn’t see a candle for dessert on your table!» I explained that we were running behind getting to our show and opted to skip dessert(though it all sounded amazing!). She said we simply could not leave without dessert and asked that we wait just a few moments. She then quickly ran into the kitchen and returned with three individually wrapped artisan chocolates that are made on the premises. She handed them to my mother gave her a big hug and wished her a Happy Birthday. WOW! I was so incredibly impressed by this gesture. I will forever be grateful for the wonderful experience we shared at Print. We will be back!

Excellent service. Excellent Food. Beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. That about sums it up why I give Print five stars. Thus far in my life as a New Yorker(5 ½ years in), it is my favorite restaurant in NYC. We went there for brunch on the 1st Sunday of 2016, and we got there when brunch was just about over — literally minutes from the kitchen closing — which usually prompts some rude hurry up service. But that was totally opposite at Print. The service was the best I’ve ever experienced in a New York restaurant. I had the French Toast and my friend had the waffles. We loved our food, and the drinks just topped it off. In a city with soo many restaurants, you could spend a lifetime checking them out and still wouldn’t discover them all, but Print is the rare place designated as a repeat spot for a restaurant hopper like myself.

I came here with friends, and enjoyed every bite. I love that it’s farm to table but still quality food. We started with the gnocchi, ceviche, Brussels sprouts and shrimp, grilled octopus and the sweet potato bread. The only appetizer I wasn’t in love with was the octopus, but my friends seemed to really enjoy it. For my main course I had the prosciutto fettuccini which was absolutely delicious. One of my friends had the lamb chop and loved it while another had the broccoli rabe ravioli wasn’t a huge fan. All the drinks were delicious and the wait staff was very helpful in deciding what to order. However, I only gave it 3 stars because of the after affect. I woke in the middle of the night feeling terribly nauseous, which was strange because I didn’t drink much. I then felt intense pain in my stomach. I have a pretty strong stomach when it comes to food so I was very surprised to have this reaction. I was up all night with cold sweats and quite uncomfortable. The next day when I spoke to my friends, they had the same reaction to the food! This lasted for a good 24 hours. We were all so disappointed because we loved out meals, but the pain and discomfort are not worth returning here. Such a shame

From the atmosphere to the service to food — this place is an absolute gem! Although not a steakhouse, the ribeye Print offers can rival any of the top rated restaurants for the steak alone. Ribeye aside, we had the duck entrée — the most tender duck I have ever had, venison — tender and juicy. Before the entrees we had a few appetizers: Foie gras — good, but not the best I have had, Grilled octopus — awesome, Goat cheese gnocchi — outstanding.

Came here with family for a large fancy dinner post-theater and were not disappointed. Their bread and butter are delicious and really signal the start of a fantastic meal. For an appetizer I ordered the Parmesan flan because I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try a savory flan. It was nothing short of amazing. It had the exact right texture for flan and was situated in a delicious broth. My only complaint is that the pea shoots were gianormous and impossible to cut gracefully meaning I actually choked on one before giving up on them entirely. Eek! For dinner I had the roasted veggies with the cauliflower steak which was probably a silly choice given how delicious the rest of the menu sounded but honestly they were beautifully roasted and so hearty. It was the perfect winter veg meal and I would order it again in a heartbeat. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals thoroughly and even had room for dessert. The passionfruit trifle was wonderfully light and fluffy with a bright citrus flavor that paired excellently with the coconut. I don’t even like coconut and this was delicious. The caraway ice cream that came with the gingerbread was such a unique flavor. It literally tasted like cold, creamy rye bread and was oddly not even a bit weird. I really enjoyed the novelty of it. Their wine bottle list had a nice smattering of choices from all different regions and even several Pinot Noirs that were wonderful. If I’m not mistaken their cocktail list is also wonderful. The atmosphere is typical of a high-end New York restaurant, dark and faux-cozy and certainly loud. They run a tight ship and our server was prompt and helpful. They don’t necessarily push you out the door but it’s fairly apparent when it’s your time to leave and it’s best not to linger too long. It’s certainly on the pricier side of New York dining but the rooftop deck has wonderful views of the Hudson(at the bar Ink) and it’s off the beaten path from the usual dinner and a show crowd which is nice. If you have the money to spend I don’t think you would be disappointed.

My only disappointing meal during my NYC visit. My options were limited because it was Christmas, and I didn’t want to settle for the corporate chains around Time Square. One of the few times that Unilocal reviews deviated far from my experience. The food was okay. I got a bronzino(fish) dish. It was sauted simply(and a little oily) with the loaf of bread. The bread came with a «variety of spreads». Not quite. It came with two, and one of them was butter, which I would call butter, not a spread. And the portion was about 2 teaspoons. What detracted from this was limited options, especially from the bar, and spotty service. Their bar menu is the worst I saw in NYC, it was like something you see at an ice hockey arena concession stand. Even Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola had better options and it’s named«Coca Cola». Service was a problem. It took me 3 separate request to get a beverage, and it wasn’t from a lack of eager staff. It seemed management doesn’t have duties well spelled out. It was such an issue, the table next to me finally had a melt down and called the manager over to complain. I suspect that the location, which is on the far west side, keeps people from venturing out and finding some of the truly great restaurants in the city. Not really a 2 star, but it barely rated 3 stars for me.

Amazing food, staff and overall ambience. I’ve been here a couple of times already and I love the experience just as much each time. Their menu will slightly change from time to time but having tried at least half of the items, I can say everything is made with quality and flavor. Try the pumpkin soufflé if you get the chance — I think this might be a seasonal item. Press lounge is upstairs so if you order wine and don’t finish, you can bring it upstairs! Highly recommend.

I loved this place. It looked cool and had that New York sophistication look. Our service was very good and the food was delicious. We had the goat cheese gnocchi and the octopus for appetizers and I loved both of them. The octopus was so tender and flavorful — some of the best I have had. I had the halibut for my main course which was perfect. After dinner we went up the to rooftop bar for a drink which had amazing views. We tried to go back to the bar the next night with a group of friends and there was a line of 50 people waiting to get into the bar. Too bad, because we would have liked to go back.

Print is such a delicious restaurant located in midtown west. I travel to NYC for work frequently and stay at Ink 48 quite a bit. The last time I finally visited Print, and dined there two nights in a row! Service is impeccable(for the most part; there’s one girl there that has a serious attitude, but everyone else is great). My friend and I had Evan both nights, since we loved him after the first night. He is a knowledgeable and friendly server. The first night I tried the octopus which was one of the best dishes I’ve had in awhile. The octopus was cooked to perfection. The salmon was delicious and my friend loved the halibut preparation. The next night we had the shrimp which were a bit underwhelming, but still good. She had the short rib which she said was really good. I had the sea bass which was definitely my least favorite of everything I’ve had at Print. It lacked complexity and flavor, so that was disappointing. Their cocktails and wine list are both great, and I will definitely come visit Print again soon.

Everything was perfect. Slightly off the beaten path in Hell’s Kitchen, Print characterizes itself as «one of the country’s leading restaurants dedicated to seasonal, sustainable cuisine.» Their menu is updated daily in order to show off local ingredients of the highest quality; in fact, their unofficial motto is: «If it’s grown in the region, we eat it in season.» Print’s dedication to featuring the best of the best is impossible to ignore. I’m convinced that it marks the difference between a solid dish and an extraordinary experience. Our entire meal, from start to finish, was nothing short of incredible, and here’s why. A dinner reservation for two was a quick and easy process; we were immediately seated upon arrival, and welcomed by our server, Kyle, who remained friendly and attentive throughout the night. My boyfriend began with the Satsuma Old Fashioned cocktail, a blend of dark horse bourbon, satsuma segments, brandied cherries, and bitters($ 17). It was a fitting precursor for the prix fixe tasting menu($ 48), which included a choice of soup or salad, an entrée, and a dessert. He decided on the frisee endive salad, a mix of nectarines and blackberries, hazelnuts, and blue cheese topped with a white wine vinaigrette. His choice of entrée, the seared halibut, presented Print with the opportunity to simultaneously showcase the fundamental core of the meal — the fish — alongside a variety of sautéed vegetables. It’s rare to find a dish where the focal point isn’t the meat, but the sides held their own. The corn-jalapeño bisque provided the finishing touch, enhancing the flavor. Special note: all of the flavor-centric opinions of the fish are according to my boyfriend, since I couldn’t sample any of it. This leads me to my own selection, the vegetable entrée($ 27), which sounds awfully boring and unnecessarily expensive — that is, until you read the description and the plate is placed in front of you. Roasted squash, eggplant purée, carrots, radishes, peppers, broccoli rabe, and mushrooms, all dressed in currant brown butter, were by far some of the best vegetables I’ve ever tasted. I can’t eat mushrooms, so I requested my meal without them, but I don’t think this detracted from the flavor combination at all. The presentation was beautiful, colorful, and more appetizing than I could’ve imagined. I devoured the entire thing without a second thought. I’m surprised that I even took the time to photograph it beforehand! The grand finale was a no-brainer after our fantastic main course. The roasted white chocolate panna cotta, paired with hickory ice cream and pecan brittle, was(again) one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Technically, it was my boyfriend’s dessert, but I’ll be honest here — I ate just as much of it as he did, despite still being full from my entrée. It was that sensational. We concluded the night with espresso($ 4), which comes with a tiny butter cookie. But by then, we had been so seriously spoiled that the cookie wasn’t anything to write home about. Would I return? Without a doubt, yes. Print is a gem in Hell’s Kitchen, offering all you could want and more. Don’t pass this one up!

From the moment we walked through the doors of this place, I knew we were in for something special. I made a reservation a few hours before our desired dinner time and they didn’t have any«tables» left over. They did however have a communal table that they were accepting reservations for, so we were all for it. At the end of the day, we were glad we went the communal route mainly because we got to sit next to each other rather than across from each other, which allowed for better conversation and fewer social media interruptions. We started off with an order of the oysters and the wheat bread loaf. Yes, the bread is NOT free here. It’s 5 bucks and we originally brushed it off but once we tried it, we felt that the charge was justified. My wife went with the halibut entrée and I went with the pork chop. Both of these entrees were game changers for us and set a new standard for these types of proteins. This place changes their menu daily so chances of you scoring the Halibut with Okra are slim, BUT the pork chop supposedly shows up a bit more frequently. For dessert we opted for the white chocolate panacotta. When it was presented to us, they put it on a nice plate and they wrote«Happy Anniversary» on it. VERYCOOL! My wife got a Nectarine crumble pie… which was out of this world. Our server was incredible as well. I think he «read» that we were a much more laid back couple and treated us accordingly. Afterwards we had a group of people at The Press Lounge which is right upstairs. A truly amazing experience. Thank You guys so much!

Been here once before. First time I was here(roughly sept of 2014) it was great. Rooftop was great. Food was great. Service was great. We were treated well. Had some friends in town tonight and decided to take them to Press Lounge and then Print. Wow. This place has gone seriously DOWNHILL! The rooftop was as it usually is. A bit crowded. Our waitress was tentative and there was no issue. The drinks weren’t as good as they used to be though. Our reservation followed. We ordered the octopus, ceviche, burratta, and gnocchi. The ceviche was good. The burratta was also good. The gnocchi was simply ok. The octopus was seriously overcooked. Then comes the meal. Embarrassing, to say the least. First, we ordered everything shortly after sitting down. Put the whole order in at once. The apps came in about 10 min. But the food? Took at least 40 min after they cleared our apps for the food to come. Unacceptable to say the least. The place was busy but definitely not packed by any means. Especially not for a Friday night. We ordered the pork parpadelle, halibut, and a few other things. The halibut was decent. Well cooked but nothing very impressive. The parpadelle was downright disappointing. Disappointing doesn’t really begin to explain how bad it was though. It was almost a raggout, with basil, beans, squash, and maybe a few other things. The parpadelle was undercooked and flavorless. The pork was just trash. Crappy low quality shredded pork with no flavor. It was all thrown together haphazardly and didn’t look appetizing at all. A $ 30 dish that reflected the quality of a $ 12 lunch special at a midtown food truck. What happened to this place? It used to be so good. Now its trash. WON’T BECOMINGBACK! Won’t be blogging about it. Downright terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and grab a drink on the roof then head to one of the many high quality restaurants in the area to spend your hard earned cash. This place isn’t worth a dime.

Visited on a week day for dinner and overall the place is just fantastic. As soon as I got there I was seated right away, the server took his time to explain the menu and specials and answered all questions without hesitation. The food was simply delicious and definitely worth the coin. The ambience is inviting and spacious. From lobby there’s access to their roof top lounge Ink 48, I haven’t visited the roof top as yet but will this summer for sure Tip: get reservations, this place is quite popular
