Our office got this for today’s lunch. I got the #1 — Amadoro with prosciutto, mozzarella and arugula. The perks are you know exactly what’s going into your sandwich(just those 3 ingredients). The downside is that it was missing something, A sauce, a dip, who knows, but something. For the price, I don’t think I’d go myself. Also the sandwich was super salty, but probably a result of the prosciutto. 3 stars.

Like some other reviewers, I used the ScoutMob 50% off deal here. I ordered a sandwich filled with prosciutto, mozzarella, and arugula(I believe it is the first option on the menu.) The sandwich came in a cute pizza-like box, and was still warm when I got back to my office a few blocks away. While I enjoyed the sandwich, I can’t say it was anything to write home about. It reminded me of a quesadilla, filled with Italian ingredients instead of Mexican(and not quite as melted.) It was pretty basic and plain. Maybe it could have used some pesto or red peppers or something, I’m not sure? I can’t say I’d return back to Piada to pay full price, but maybe I’ll try one of their other sandwiches sometime to see how it compares!

Overall image of company, food quality and taste were good. However the girl with the pink hair at the register had such a bad attitude from the second i started looking at the menu on the wall. She was talking to me like i was stupid because i wasnt sure what to order yet and I asked her what was most popular. The customer service was worse than at the DMV and it was so bad that it seemes like a scene out of a movie. She started making noise tapping a card on the counter and bent over leaning her chin on her hand looking bored and miserable. It created a really unpleasent experience. The wrap was literally like a mexican flour tortilla out of a plastic bag but the prociutto mozzerella and arugula with piada sauce were good… however i would never go back… its just not worth the money or bad customer service.

Was decent. Sandwiches a bit skimpy and dry but good fresh ingredients. There are better sandwiches to be had around the neighborhood(num pang, Jeffrey, antico noe, King of shawarma) so probably won’t be back.

I loved going here for lunch, and now that I work around here again, I get to go more often! I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of their piadas, but I always get something with prosciutto in it. It tastes so fresh! They’re also really nice and will take their time to explain anything you don’t understand. The small space gets crowded during lunch time rush, so it’s hard to find a seat in here. You might have better luck getting it to-go and bringing it to the atrium.

The chocolate croissant is SOGOOD. Love stopping in here for a morning coffee, too. Ask about their punch card. Breakfast sandwiches are small but filling and the ingredients are fresh.

Neat, clean branding/menus with a unique and simple concept. Piada has a good thing going and they’re understandably popular for breakfast and lunch. I work nearby and recently(finally) tried both. Though I enjoyed the thin, flaky wrap and found the piadas to be a tasty sandwich alternative, I was reasonably underwhelmed. The thinness is a double edged sword: both times, I was left hungrier than I would have been from a heartier sandwich and you’re not really saving any money. I also wanted more flavors from the prosciutto, mozzarella & arugula piada(the sausage, egg & cheese option was zestier although smaller). Overall, while I would not discount this place for future quick meals, I was hoping that Piada would better meet my expectations.

This place has gotten to me. The Chicken salad with the lovely marinated tomatoes, all those lovely meats and cheeses — really i don’t eat this way but i am converted. Mint lemonade mmmmmm so great.

A nice, little sandwich shop tucked right at the exit of the subway. The place serves some amazing Italian sandwiches in a flatbread form filled with fresh vegetables and meats. I had a Federico Piada which had eggplants, Zucchini and Red Peppers stuffed inside an Italian flatbread. It was served on a wooden plank with a spicy Dijon mustard. Not just the sandwich but their Choco chip cookie was also quite ooey-gooey!

This place is by far my favorite lunch destination during the week and a welcome get away from eating at my desk! The sandwiches are great and service is quick. Skip the coffee(which I find not great), but do yourself a favor and get here early before 11:30 and pick up your sandwiches before the crowds! GREATGREATGREAT!

This is my breakfast spot. Cappuccino and chocolate croissant. They have healthier options… but their coffee and pastries are so good I don’t even care. Once you have Piada coffee you can’t go back to Starbucks or Au Bön Pain. Italians know what’s up! My main complaint is that there are only TWO locations! We need more Piada in NYC! I’ve also had the salmon and tuna salads and will order them again as lunch items. I’m trying to limit my carb intake(just to the croissant!), so no piadina for me, but I’ve tried at least 5 of them and they are all really tasty. Great spot to share food with friends.

After a long, long time sitting on my bookmarks, I took the walk over to the Atrium to try out Piada. Note that The Atrium is on the Northeast corner of 53rd st — not between 52 and 53 as the address states. There is also currently a Scoutmob special where you get 50% off your order. The line at 12:30pm on a weekday during lunch rush was not long at all, with only one person ahead of me on line. Like many others, I got the #1 — Amacord with proscuitto di parma, mozzarella, and arugula. The ingredients are simple — just that and a flatbread– no crazy sauces or anything like that. I took it to go and it came in this mini pizza-box cardboard box… how cute! The ingredients, though only 3, were plentiful in my quesadilla-like sandwich. The prosciutto was fresh, not overly salty, as was the mozzarella. All three came together for a delicious lunch. Let’s not forget to mention the incredible bread — dense, yet light. Tastes nothing like a tortilla, if that’s what you’re thinking. At $ 9 a pop, it’s not your cheapest option for lunch, but use the SM offer and it’s a great deal.

The sandwiches were good when I went pretty regularly in the Summer but things really went down hill this Winter. You seem to get less meat and the sides taste old. Following a collections hairs I found in my last piada, I will not be returning…

Haven’t been here in a while — just stopped by to pick up a grilled chicken salad(arugula, sundried tomatoes, chicken, cheese — one of my go tos) Noticed that the interior/wall got a makeover. Fancy. This place is ok, but imho overpriced for what it is. I think you get more arugula in your grilled chicken salad if you eat in versus taking out. Have always wished they give a little more salad. But today, was sadly disappointed to find out that they stopped giving the piada bread with their salad and now give out small stubs of sourdough. boo. Also annoyed that they gave me a flimsy, cheap fork. Mine came packaged with a knife, napkin, salt and pepper but the plastic packaging was already opened! For the price of the salad, you could give me a better fork, or at least one that’s packaged… They also put my order in a ratty used plastic bag. I recycle/reuse bags all the time… but c’mon. Got the impression they are cutting corners and starting to cheap out… sad.

Terrible service. They got the whole order wrong. Didn’t give us the drink and the cookie. We ordered to stay and they packed to go. Terrible we are not coming back to this place.

I stopped by here mainly because there was a Scoutmob coupon for 50% off, but also because I’ve passed by this place several times and was intrigued by what a «piada» would taste like. I was a little disappointed, probably because I hyped it up in my mind to be a little bit more impressive than it was. The flatbread-like wrap wasn’t particularly tasty, though the eggplant, roasted bell peppers, and thin layer of mozzarella(daily/weekly special, I forget which) were well-seasoned. I think it would’ve tasted a lot better if it were heated up more. The seating/décor of the place is an attempt at modern and cool, but the practical effect was that there was a lot of unutilized empty floor space and very limited seating. I ended up taking mine to go… which probably didn’t help with the heating issue.

I just discovered this little midtown gem in the Atrium of the building next to mine. The place is very clean and organized and they pack some unique flavors and combos. The small«piadino» sanGwiches are excellent because it has a very little amount of bread, aka carbs, but more hearty serving of actual cold cuts, tomatoes, etc. It really is nice to see that they use some more authentic Italian cold-cuts and the piadas are quite filling as well. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a filling bite for a reasonable price. They have a lunch special as well for around $ 13 that you get half a piada, soup or salad and a drink or fruit which is really well worth it. Buon appetito!

I am addicted to this Italian flat bread sandwich! It is absolutely DELICIOUS. I dream about this lunch spot all the time. I don’t work in midtown anymore, but when I take a day off I always go here for lunch because it is only open during the week Monday — Friday! Piada is a very popular Italian flat bread sandwich(Why can’t all sandwiches be made with this bread?) and in the sandwich there is a variety of meats and cheeses with argula. I tend to get the prosciutto di parma, stracchino(unbelievably creamy), and argula. I also get the penne with mushroom cream pasta. Appetizing, tasty, I am salivating about the food just writing this review. Around $ 14 for a combo: a drink, sandwich, a small pasta or salad. The prices are quite expensive but the food is worth a try! So whenever you are in midtown give this place a try!

I’ve passed by this place a few times, but it never really caught my attention. When I saw a Scoutmob deal for 50% off at this place, I figured I’d give it a shot. The piadas look like they’re not filling at all, but they are. I had a daily special, and I had to take half of it home. The pasta, chicken, and peas in a creamy sauce tasted better than a dish from a sit-down restaurant. The side portion is enough for two. The meals come on a wooden tray that looks like a cutting board. The seating is all communal.
