This place is simply amazing ! Came here for the first time because we were looking for a hookah lounge since we just came to visit New York for the first time (we are from Glendale CA). James was the person who helped us out. Greatest worker and person ever, he seriously made us feel like home. Very attentive and respectful. Hookah and food was amazing. The place is very well organized and extremely clean. Overall, greatest experience ever and we will definitely be coming back.

Best Hookah spot in the city in my opinion… Although I haven’t frequented many.

I really enjoyed my birthday dinner here. The falafel two ways, hummus and pita bread, and the mixed grill platter were all very flavorful and satisfying. Besides the food, the atmosphere was very pleasing and I loved the décor and music as well as the service.
However I have to knock two stars due to the rude behavior that I encountered upon my entrance. The hostess was very unwelcoming. We told her about our reservation and asked to be seated upstairs to which she replied that we have to wait 15 minutes. We happily agreed to do so and when we got upstairs we chose to sit at a certain place to which she replied «you can sit here for now but if I need it in an hour you’ll have to move.» At the moment i disregarded that comment because I was in a good mood, but now I realize how rude and unwelcoming that was. We were paying guests that ordered every course from the menu including desert. Guests should not be treated this way.

This place was amazing! I loved the vibe here so much. Live DJ and the food was so delicious. Falafel two ways, hummus, and the mixed grill entrée was everything you hoped for and more. It was a really nice experience. The seats were so comfy I just wanted to lounge around for hours just losing track of time
I just found it really weird when we were seated upstairs and she asked us where we wanted to sit so we picked a spot and then she said «you can sit here for now but in an hour if I need it you will have to move» Being in such a good mood I’m like okay cool whatever but then I realized that me and my friend ordered two apps, two entrees and we were paying customers that made a reservation. Is she going to tell us to move in the middle of our meal? You don’t have guests over and tell them they have to leave because someone else is coming? I didn’t really think much of it cause I’m just here to have a good time not start a fuss but that’s something you really don’t say to anyone, it’s just rude!

My boyfriend and I love pergola. Whenever I am in the city it is one of our favorite spots to go at any time of night. The food is delicious, the drinks are delicious and the hookah is awesome as well. Amazing lounge vibes.

I came here 2 months ago after my friend’s bottomless brunch party around 7 pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t too packed when my friends and I walked in (about 10 of us). We seated ourselves at the bar and ordered a few hookahs. They were amazing.
The bartenders were SO friendly. My phone died and I asked one of them to please charge my phone, and they did so willingly. No attitude or anything! My friend ordered some food, but the waitresses were perfect on timing. Not too long and not too short. I’d say top notch service even though it wasn’t that packed.
I would love to come back again for the hookah and maybe try some food the next time around!

this is somewhat of an high end place. I look young in the face so I think they really didn’t treated me as a serious customer until they actually spoke to me. ha ha. I knew it was a popular place since it was packed on a Tuesday night.
I was alone because I like to take me out on dates (you should try it) I order crab cake, spinach and French fries. it was sooooooooooooo good. I never had a Hookah before and I told my waiter, he kindly taught me how to use it and recommended flavor that I would like.
PLEASE NOTE: it pricey. I paid 70 bucks for my crab cake (1) spinach and fries with the hookah the hookah alone was 30 bucks.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and Pergola was recommend by a friend.
We wanted a chill/​low key spot to listen to miscue and smoke some argeelah.
Pergola met all our expectations and then some-​from the moment we got out of our über to the moment we left.
The bouncers were (one in particular) were very friendly and the hostesses were extremely welcoming and accommodating.
We were seated right in front of the door and it was cold between people coming in and out, but we didn’t mind.
Although the heat was on the one bouncer made sure to try and keep the door closed so we wouldn’t freeze.
The music was wonderful! A mix of Arabic with hip-​hop!
I went over to the DJ booth to request a song and he invited me inside to choose from his list of music!
Everyone was lovely!!!
The crowd was fun and it was really everything we wanted on our Friday night out!
Pergola is definitely now one of our favorite spots!

Pergola is trendy mediterranean restaurant.
Me and my friends came on Monday night
We were greeted by a male host and seated right away.
Our waitress don’t remember her name she had curly hair was very nice and was there whenever we needed her .
I started with the appetizer (hummus) was the freshest I had in Nyc. For the main course had the lamb chops (tender, juicy)
For hookah I asked the male host (suggested watermelon with pineapple) was amazing
Wasn’t to harsh and tasted like bubblegum.
Offered chocolate cake with sparkle since it was my friends birthday. We had an amazing experience at this venue.

I don’t want to sound mean but this is a little bit douchy place…
There is nothing authentic about the middle east. It looks like a bad lounge.
It is OVERPRICED to smoke a hookah! but the only think that I liked was they refilled the charcoal! But I won’t come b

I’m a little surprised that I haven’t heard of this place but it’s very popular on the food and entertainment scene.
Firstly a big thank you to Alexandra (Alex). You completed our group with tremendous service and a fantastic attitude to a chaotic night. It just would not have been the same without you! So thank you again.
We had a table for 6 at the door, which may not be the best but it’s quieter so you can actually converse. My plan was not to really eat but when the mixed grill came out I had to taste, it was so good we ordered another one. So high marks for the food.
The crowd was wow! Nice looking people and very trendy from the Middle East and South Asia, of course a lot of locals too. The DJ was unbelievable! What amazing tracks that got everyone dancing.
As for the hooka, it’s probably the best I have had outside of Dubai. Very smooth and great flavors.
All in all a great night, I want to go back soon.

I love the vibes at this place but last night it was a bit annoying because I was driving from jersey to NYC and we got caught up in unexpected traffic. I called to let the hostess know and the first time no one picked up so I called again 15 minutes after my reservation time and the hostess abruptly stated your reservation is canceled so I did not take well to that type of customer service so I demanded as soon as we walk in there be a table available due to the fact that I have been sitting in an hour of traffic. So as I demanded there was a table available for us near the bar which was not ideal but we were fine with it. Once we were there everything was fine food was good and hookah was good and they were very accommodating. The only thing that lowered my rating was the hostess and her rude tone which I did not appreciate.

I love the vibe here. I went on a Thursday and everyone was chill and friendly.
I had the grape and mint hookah in fruit and it was perfect esp with some prosecco the happy hour menu is decent. And the food was delicious! Hummus was fine (mine is better) the crab cake was delicious (albeit small) and the meatballs were really scrumptious I want the recipe! The grilled octopus came out as a salad and had like 2 pieces of actual octopus so that was not that impressive.
I will definitely be back!

I would have loved to give this place 4 stars but I did not appreciate them adding an 18% gratuity to my bill when we were only a party of two. The service was great but I would have like the opportunity to give freely. I found that insulting. Now with that off my chest, on to the food!
Food:
For appetizers we had the pergola wings– perfectly cooked and tasty.
I had the lamb burger which is one of the most flavorful things I have ever tasted. It was absolutely delicious and the fries were just perfect. My date had the lamb chops and he devoured it. I managed to get a taste and it was very good.
Drinks– I had martinins and I was not impressed.
Hookah– very good.
Ambiance-​Upscale & Trendy. The seats were uncomfortable to me, they lacked back support.
Service– Excellent, they were very attentive

Went here on a Saturday night for drinks and hookah around midnight. This was my first time at this establishment and they treated us well. I didn’t know what to expect but I was impressed. When we first walked up the windows are covered by large curtains. Element of suspense? Once entering you are blown away by this beautiful decorated space. There was lots of greenery and bronze accents. The space is split level. We asked for a table for 5 and was seated within 5 minutes.
We were seated upstairs near the dance floor. Our waitress introduced herself and wanted to know if we could grab her drinks to start out. She grabbed our drinks immediately and then asked us what flavor hookah we would like. We opted for a watermelon and mint flavor. It was delicious. Can we say that about hookah? Oh well. It was. The music was a mix of everything that kept the very diverse crowd moving. Throughout the entire night our waitress was very attentive. This was a perfect way to end to end a great evening .

Nice setup. Lots of hookah options if you desire. Happy hour had a few drink selections and some small bites. I had the lamb sliders which was decent. Small, def will need 2 orders to be full.
I liked the goat cheese poppers.
I can for a networking event but the space looks nice and I may visit again in the future.

I walked in weeks ago to check out this place. It was early afternoon, so it was pretty quiet, and gave me a chance to explore without there being a crowd. I loved the menu options, the décor, and I loved the feel of the place, so I decided to make Pergola my birthday dinner spot.
Fast forward to last night, my friend, and I dined there for my birthday. It was hands down the best end to my birthday. We skipped drinks, and optioned for hookah, and meals. I dined on the honey glazed salmon with a side of spinach. It was sooooo very tasty. It seems like everyone who steps foot into Pergola are very nice. Almost as if they leave all negativity at the door. Our waitress Rita was amazing! She never failed to check on us, made sure our dining experience was great, and provided birthday shots on the house. Nothing short of what a great waitress should be. I would definitely ask to sit in Rita’s section upon my next visit.
All-​in-​all, I had a wonderful time here at Pergola. Made a few new associates, and there is no doubt I will be back, and would recommend Pergola to friends. Thank you all at pergola.

I just don’t get the bad reviews for this place, I have been here many times and I have had a lovely time each and every time. I also don’t get the racist comments, I have seen all nationalities here enjoying themselves. Nowadays, any mishap that occurs, immediately it is called out as racist. Umm stop it.
As for my experiences, I have only come here for drinks and hookah. Which, I have to say, is the best in the city and will run you $ 35 for the regular and $ 45 for premium. I also love the atmosphere of this place. The music and crowd are always fun and friendly.
Most recently, I was here this past weekend and I asked the hostess for a table for 3, she said they had a table open but they would need it back at 10pm (it was 9 when we walked in) for a reservation. We took the table. In other reviews, people mentioned how they were kicked out of their tables before they completed their meals or drinks but I highly doubt you weren’t informed prior. Nonetheless, we were able to stay at the table till about 1030 and then they found a place for us at the bar with chairs and our hookahs.
I really do need to make it a point to come back here and try the food.

Came here for lunch on weekday and the restaurant was basically empty. We easily sat down and ordered our food.
I ordered the lamb burger. Typically I don’t enjoy eating lamb, but I decided to be adventurous. It was good, but nothing amazing. I appreciated that the lamb didn’t have an overly grassy taste. The fries were a bit salty, but were perfectly crispy.
We asked for the waiter’s recommendation for wine and he brought out a HUGE bottle of rosé for 5 people. The waiter probably should have given us a smaller bottle, but we didn’t stop him or ask him for another size so we can’t fault him for that.
Had a good meal here but it wasn’t anything special and probably wouldn’t go back.

I am completely blown away by Pergola! If you’re looking for an awesome hotspot this is your place. Great restaurant, lounge, AND hookah bar? Oh yes, three strikes!
i came here around 9pm on a Friday night to stop by at a friend’s party and it was already a happening place. You can hear the music from the outside, and when you walk in you feel like you’ve been transported to a lounge in Miami Beach! Some drapery, two floors, slick-​sounding beats, and a very attractive crowd! Yes, it’s a little pricey but you’re paying for the overall experience… and it’s a good one!
The food is beautiful, reflecting the ambience of course, drinks are strong and they have some really cool cocktails on the menu, and the hookah is an excellent accompaniment to the experience.
Come, get dressed up, bring a crowd, nosh on some small plates, and smoke away as the DJ transports you to another world. I promise, you won’t even feel like you’re in Manhattan anymore!
