Don’t order from this place with the expectation of getting your food for a very long time. I tired this place via seamless this evening and t listed 20 – 30 mins as its delivery window which I am always realistically open to and 1hour and 23 mins later it arrives. Not worth the wait at all. Try something else.

First of all: This is the first place stateside that I’ve found the tradition Egyptian streetcart dish, koshari; from what I hear there are places in Jackson Heights/Astoria and down toward Bay Ridge/Sheepshead area where you can find it, but I live in Bushwick and have friends who live in the East Village. Came in on a snowy February day, just me, my friends, and a couple of young Japanese tourists packed the main dining room out. It looks like they have an upstairs dining area for when they get busier? Nice Egyptian couple running the place, and doing all the cooking, as well as delivery service(the wife started getting the burgers ready slowly… including slicing up a fresh eggplant for my buddy’s panini). I had the Cherry Burger and koshari with Nescafe(in true American-Egyptian fusion style), and was full for the rest of the day for under $ 10. Any time I’m hungry and stoned at my friend’s apartment, I will definitely be talking them into ordering delivery from this place, and will probably be giving them a considerable chunk of my dining-out purse once the weather warms up a bit and I can convince people to go on bike rides with me again.

Their food is fresh and delicious! Their hummus is incredible and the babaghanoush has some incredible spice that I can’t place but very very tasty. The shish kabob was pretty good. They have great middle eastern tea and fresh baklava as well, all at cheap prices! The upstairs is nice and secluded right now since its a new place. The owner is super friendly as well!

Ordered delivery from Cherry NYC. Everything was delicious and good value. Had the Kafta platter(came with salad), Lentil Soup, and a chicken kebab wrap. Too much food to finish but all tasted homemade and fresh. Will order again.

This place was an incredible find! It’s low key but the food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Ask for the falafel platter.

Stopped by on my walk home to pick up dinner. Considering it’s a tiny, super casual joint and just opened, I didn’t have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised :) First, off, I can’t remember the last time I ordered a cheese steak with peppers and onions, and watched someone slice up a fresh bell pepper just for me. That’s the way things are done here it seems — everything’s made to order. I had the phillysteak which was delicious and super fresh. Also had the koshari — which I’m not an expert on(this is the first time I’ve tried it), but so, so good. Nice and light with plenty of flavor. A few tips: they only take cash, there seems to be only one(super nice) guy running the place so your order might take a little bit, and the portions were huge. I’ll definitely be back to try the more authentic mideast dishes, but I’ll likely call in ahead and order half as much :)
