Panini Cafe

Nice place! The environment is cozy and clean. The staff is very welcoming and nice. Every time they treat you like a welcome guest. The reason i gave them only four stars, last time I had to wait for my order about 20min.
But overall, nice experience;)

This was definitely an eek moment. I was just looking for a quick bite to pick up on the way to class and UNFORTUNATELY this is where I ended up.
Yes, it is cute. But, there is no way this could last. It took forever to get my panini after finding out that they were out of two of the options I attempted to order. In the end I went with the chicken pesto something or other panini. Dry. Burnt. Flavorless. Just so disappointing.
Anyway, if they could get their act together, it is a cute space. But working with what they have (or don’t have as far as cooking skills go) it just can’t possibly last.

Nice people that run the place, great paninis that came pretty quick for a pannini. Very well done quirky sheek cool interior and very pleasurable space to enjoy lunch.

Panini Café is cute and cozy, a tiny nook where you can grab coffee or snacks. I stopped in with a few friends to kill time before dinner, and for whatever reason decided to have a mocha chai less than an hour before a large meal.
The place was tiny, with limited seating that filled up while we ordered our drinks. It was so calm and empty when we came in that we didn’t hold the couch. Oh well. We huddled around a little round table for one, and we were fine.
The cashier was nice and the drinks were ready in good time. There was a $ 10 credit card minimum, so we put in a group order. Not a great policy for a coffee shop, really, but I didn’t really care. My mocha chai was tasty, sweet but nicely spiced, with a round chocolate tone.
I didn’t see any paninis, but I guess Panini Café must do food, too. I imagine it’s the quick coffee shop variety, but I could be wrong. It was, in any case, good for a hot drink and an hour’s entertainment.

If you are looking for good tasty food on a budget, this is a gem. Their potato chicken soup was fantastic. They could succeed on that alone. Sandwiches were excellent as well. The service was friedly and the bathroom was clean. In case you were wondering, I don’t work for the restaurant, I am just a hungry tourist from San Diego.
