Are you calling this coffee? Are you people in the service biz? I really don’t get it Any way first and last time I feel bad giving a bad review like this but the coffee was horrible and the service even more.

Well guess what? It is snowing outside again. Mother Nature has been such a surly bitch this year. I’m walking around in Soho today and desperately needed to get out of the cold and snow. I remembered I had a Scoutmob deal for here, so I fired up my map app and found myself here in no time. The place is definitely odd. Couldn’t really figure out the décor motif, the music or the clientele here. There was some weird dude sitting near the register and seemed to know the place, but not sure if he was the owner of a regular or whatever. So, I am trying to hone in on my observation skills. So here are my observations. Service is kind of whack. I had the bearded hipster guy serve me in fragments. First, he made me an almond milk latte, then he served others. I got tired of waiting for him, so I sat down to enjoy my decent cup of joe(the beans are from a Brooklyn roaster, D’Amico). After a train of people went by, and the counter was empty, I approached the register. I wanted to redeem my BOGO coupon from Scoutmob. I asked for a croissant and also salted espresso chocolate chip cookie. No arguments there. Croissant was decent, but not flaky. Probably bought from Costco or something. So I ate my croissant and drank my coffee and then started to look around the store. Definitely weird décor. A spied a set of really dirty Mother Geese and her ducklings on a ledge high up and also some other decoy malloys around. There’s definitely somesort of fowl theme going on. Lot of plants around and the place is all wood, but not in the refurbished wood kind of way. They also serve beer here, so happy hour is 4−6pm every day. 2 for 1 bottle or $ 1 off draft beer. Lots of unlikely people gathered in here, probably all just trying to get out of the cold. And as odd as this place is, I think I would come back. It isn’t packed, so you definitely can hear yourself think in here, read a book or just ogle the strange ambiance and clientele. Oh, and recently they stopped providing WIFI. Something about Comcast having permanent outage in this area, sounds like bull to me. But, I am a fan for some weird reason, so I’ll probably be back to enjoy the weirdness…

Very slow and rude service. Would not come back. They have nothing for breakfast and tells you 15 minutes after you order. Obviously forgot about it.

Nothing special. Needs to find out the importance of lighting and perhaps customer service also. I would never had gone if I didn’t had a free drink from the CUPS app. I am a big supporter of independent coffee shops but this is a nah, which is sad because I really wanted to like this place. The barista seemed unfriendly. I had an expresso and a croissant. The expresso was too long and the croissant was beyond stale.

This is such a cool spot due to the décor(lots of art on the walls), good music and chill vibe. However I only gave it three stars because I believe their items are overpriced. My chai latte was great though and my vegan chai cookie was on the house for some reason ;)

This place absolutely capitalizes on the neighborhood, audaciously charging three dollars and fifty cents for poor, tiny cookies. Foolishly redeemed a Scoutmob offer here for«one free sandwich, salad or pastry with the purchase of a sandwich, salad or pastry». The staffer in the dark, creepy space rang me up for $ 3.50 so I reminded him of the BOGO and he confirmed the price, so I asked if they charged $ 3.50 for these cookies, and he said yes, pretty dismissively(no one else was there other than someone who was either his friend or a rude coworker blocking the door and acting as if I walked in on him in his apartment without knocking). Had I paid $ 7 for the salted espresso and coconut chocolate chip cookies, I would’ve been truly insulted. Walk or train to CityCakes where they’re much nicer and their product far better.

Small but cozy. I was able to get a salad made up of any of their available ingredients, which was nice. Customer service was on point. Food was tasty, and yep wifi was free :) All around, nice place.

I always get lattes here– very delicious and they put a very generous amount of espresso in their drinks. Very nice people as well!

This café is cute, but dark and the radio was really loud. I had a hot chocolate and a latte. I wish they had a design on the latte with the foam. They didn’t have marshmallows which was sad. The latte was bitter even with 3 packs of sugar. The worker was drinking on the job, kinda weird but whatever. When we paid for the drinks, the guy really wanted us to buy the cookies and said they were the best he’s had and it was a life changer. We bought the red velvet cookie. I ate it and it was not good. It was salty inside and sweet but not in a good way. The texture was really soft, almost doughy and not completely cooked. It was a real let down from what he described, but props on selling us the cookie. I definitely been to better cafes before, but this one is ok. Just really wanted to write about the strange cookie.

A very nice coffee shop. Free wifi, which is cool. The place itself has an awesome décor, very rustic. Service, quite slow, so expect to be sitting for a little while. For Manhattan, prices are reasonable. Their lattes are really delicious, extremely hot and tasty. They also have little pastries, such as pumpkin cookies, which were amazing.

Don’t go there if you’re looking for good coffee or hot chocolate worst one ever tasted so far. Overall ambiance is very relaxed and chill free wifi being a plus.

One of my favorite coffee shops to do work at in the city. The wifi is super fast, it’s usually not too crowded, and the vibe is nice and laid back. The food is also surprisingly solid. I recommend any of their salads. Additionally the Nutella croissants are out of this world. Lastly, the ppl are super nice. They happily make substitutions and will do whatever it takes to make ppl feel at home.

What an adorable café! I met a colleague here on Sunday morning for coffee and some planning. We were the only ones there around 10:30AM, but people eventually filtered in and by the time we left, it was pretty crowded. The tables are spacious and there’s wifi. The almond croissant I had was delicious! The coffee was good and served in assorted mugs. The guy behind the counter was friendly. Overall, the vibe was very chill. I will definitely be back, especially since my nail spot is around the corner and tasty almond croissants are my favorite find.

They don’t always open on time. Its pretty irresponsible to not be open around almost 10am multiple times when their hours say they open at 8am. I know they’re chill, but it ruins a lot of our plans!!! I am a planner! Be respectful! :(daaangggg it.

Really love this place. Vegan desserts, cold brew coffee and a great sandwich selection. $ 8 card minimum. Try if you’re in the area!

Anywhere that offers almond milk as a dairy alternative instead of only soy milk is already way ahead of the game in my book! But the coffee itself is great, friendly staff(rescued my abandoned ring from probably falling down the drain or disappearing forever… thank you!!) and just a good, chill vibe. Great place to catch up on some reading without being smothered or rushed in any way… if you find yourself there on a weekday that is. Can’t speak to the weekends. But everyone who seemed to be a regular walking in smiled or said hello. Good to know places like this still exist.

Awesome little place I found to grab a quick coffee while waiting to meet up with a friend. The barista was very friendly and even let me use my debit card with a purchase of less than the note-required $ 8!

Just in general, bad counter service. Walked in and waited, while one customer was in front of me, while another employee was idling, and then the first one left the counter. Why don’t business get the concept, that when there are customers waiting, you don’t leave the register? Just wanted a quick cup of coffee… now I’ll never know how good it might have been. This is more of a «central perk», cliquey place, than a place to grab and go. Today, that didn’t work for me.

It’s coffee stores like this that keep me going. Reminiscent of the Portland coffee shop vibe.
