Brunch was good. My fiancé and I both ordered pasta(rigatoni bolognese and fettuccine). The portions were a good size(not too large). Roasted potatoes were good too. Mimosas are nice, the Bloody Mary was awful. The options on the menu are not very many.

Came here on a weekend night and the vibe is definitely casual. The noise level was quite high so its not a great intimate, date spot but seems good for groups. The food is ok — its not super authentic Italian or anything but decent Italian-American.

On a recent trip to NYC for the holidays my fiancé, friends, and I stumbled upon this place. The atmosphere was super chill and quiet which was nice. We all ordered a different meal and all of us seemed pleased. I had a great little pasta dish that left me super full and happy. We didn’t drink but the bar looked like it could be a cool place to hang out for a few drinks.

awesome happy hour! great wine selection, delicious appetizers are great prices, and despite the crowd at the bar, we got really good service! Oysters for $ 1 — I’ll come back here any day just for that! We also came here during NYC Wine Week which explained the huge crowd at Pagani. The hostess was slightly dismissive, almost rude, but our waitress was warm, friendly, accommodating, and took good care of us. When happy hour was almost ending, she made sure to come by and get our second round orders in so we could take advantage of the price. Dim lighting, good décor, and clean bathrooms — that mixed with everything else that we ate and drank that night makes for a good place for happy hour. Just make sure you come early, snag a table by the window or a seat at the bar so you can avoid the rude-ish hostess and you’ll have a grand time that’s easy on the wallet.

The boy and I found this place after we realized the Ethiopian place we had our eyes on(injera), only takes cash or Amex. Here’s the quick rundown of the ordering. One fantastic bottle of Pinot recommended by our waiter Two appetizers — a charred octopus and a chicken liver Two salads — one white, one beet Two pastas — Rigatoni with rabbit, Ricciatelle with mushrooms Gelatti and Sorbetti to share The boy doesn’t like red wine, but even he liked this red. I love red, white, pink, etc, but I loved this wine. So everyone is right about the charred octopus. It’s pretty bomb dot com. Everyone, however, is missing out on the chicken liver toasts. They are smooth and rich, with the creamy flavour of liver that I love, without any of the grittiness that ruins some dishes. Really, it’s probably the best chicken liver toast I’ve ever had. Both me and the boy wanted to order the white salad. Being a gentleman, he let me have it and got the beet salad, the obvious second choice. Of course, being us, we shared them both anyways, and to be honest the beet salad won. I’m a sucker for beets. The two pastas were both delicious. I personally preferred the Ricciatelle with mushrooms, the sauce — it was rich and light and creamy and perfect. The pasta noodles in both dishes seemed fresh and were definitely al dente. There’s a lot of happiness to be found here. Come and get it!

Tried this place based on the reviews with my husband and a friend who was leaving the country for several months and wanted Italian for his last US meal. It was easy to get a table on a Monday night at 8 and we were seated in the front room, which had a nice atmosphere that was ruined a bit by the fact that you can feel the 1 train every time it passes beneath the restaurant.(How am I the only person who’s noted this?) I was a bit worried the vibrations would make me nauseous, actually, but didn’t want to make a fuss, so stayed where we were and in the end it was fine. We got the buffalo mozzarella and kale salad as appetizers. The kale salad was very good, not bitter at all. The mozzarella was just okay, sat in an herbed soup I couldn’t really taste. For my main course, I got the gnocchi, which was heavy with gorgonzola — tasty, but you’ve got to really like gorgonzola — and the others got the ravioli. Everyone was pleased with their mains. Dessert was a real letdown — both the baked apple tart and the dark chocolate bread and banana pudding were dry. Both were more cake-like than we would’ve expected based on the descriptions. Prices were reasonable and the service was attentive. A decent meal overall, but we weren’t impressed enough to want to go back.

Pagani hosted my firm’s company holiday party last night and we had such a wonderful experience! The back room was perfect for our 12 person group, semi-secluded and cozy. Our four course meal was absolutely delicious and everyone seemed thrilled with their choices, even our two gluten free guests. Some of our favorites included: butternut squash and lentil soup, gemelli pasta with mushrooms and arugula, and the ricotta cheesecake. Sergio was extremely helpful during the planning process and Enzo took great care of us on the night of the event. Overall, I had a great experience at Pagani and would highly recommend it to anyone hosting a group dinner party.

Came here for brunch with my fiancé the other day. We had a Groupon-ish voucher but soon found out we probably didn’t need it because their mimosas(and bloody marys) during weekend brunch are only $ 2.89 each. I had their lemon ricotta pancakes for $ 11 which were delicious and properly lemony though a bit on the thin side. Their biscuits served with what I believe is honey butter were amazing as well. The space, service, and location were all great and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

The Quick: Ultra romantic date spot in the West Village, great food that’s easy to share, friendly waitstaff, and huge additional back rooms. The Details: I’ve been dying to try the spot since they have $ 2.95 mimosas and bloody Mary’s for brunch. Instead I stopped by for dinner and was thrilled with my decision. The menu was great, filled with plenty of small plates that could easily be shared. It was dimly lit, had great background music, and a very sensual vibe. Recommended for date night or a small girls wine night. The Damage: We shared a few small plates, and paid ~$ 23 each including tax and tip. Keep in mind we did not order drinks which would have increased the tab substantially.

Decent place for a meal. I stopped by for brunch with a friend. My linguini carbonara was OK but too salty for me. My friend ordered an egg dish which was ordinary. But prices are cheap. The décor is attractive. One server was great; a second server did not speak English very well. No reason to go back — too many other places in the area to try.

I love Pagani and I’ve been MANY times. I’ve visited with the hubby, friends from out of town, business clients and family! I’ve had brunch, dinner, cocktails, apps, and lots of god memories. They have excellent consistent service and the ambiance is warm and lively with an artistic barn feel. Pagani has wood beams, velvet curtains, Instagram-worthy mosaic bathroom tile and a bar that hosts great game viewings, cappuccinos and wine tastings. I’ve had pancakes, omelets, pasta, salmon, branzino, warm mozz, paté toast and beyond. The only thing I’m not terribly over the moon for is the dessert. The salmon with the lentils is my FAVORITE dish! Will continue to be a regular.

My friend and I came here for lunch-this is a pretty spacious spot that looks a lot bigger compared to the outside! Anyways, we had the gramigna(spicy sausage, spinach, onions and tomatoes) which was really tasty! I liked that better than the ricciatelle(mushrooms, pine nuts, arugula, garlic), though that was tasty as well! Oh, and it’s +$ 2 for the gluten-free option, which we got! As we get older we need less gluten… sigh…

I could come here every weekend just for the buttery, flaky biscuit with honey butter and $ 2.95 bloody mary and mimosas! You wouldn’t be disappointed at either! The meatballs, pastas and charred octopus are such a delight it makes it hard not to keep coming back here for more! The great service is an added bonus!

I went to pagani for brunch yesterday. We had a 1:30 reservation and when we arrived, our table was ready. They have a good brunch special. You can get one brunch cocktail and entrée for 19 dollars, then order a Bloody Mary or mimosa for 2.89 more each. It was well worth it and they don’t rush you out. We stayed until the end of brunch. The service was good. They were really good about bringing us more drinks when we asked. For food, we ordered an omelet with spicy sausage and zucchini, an omelet with pancetta and diced tomatoes, and eggs Benedict with prosciutto. We also ordered roasted potatoes to share. We each enjoyed our meals. I really liked that it came with a salad on the side, which had mixed greens and some red onion. The food was really good. I would love to come back for brunch!

We had an early dinner here on a weekday and we were quickly seated. The staff was very very friendly. To start, we ordered the warm buffalo mozzarella and charred octopus. We were also given fresh bread and olive oil. The warmed mozzarella with the herbs and tomato were delicious with the toasted bread. The charred octopus was perfectly cooked and tender. I found the olives in the octopus dish perfect and not too briny. For mains, we ordered the pappardelle with meat sauce and linguine with clams. The pasta was al dente and a hearty portion. I did find the meat sauce a little one note but the pasta had great texture. My brother said clams were delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal with good service. There is plenty of seating and a semi-private room in the back for private groups. It would be a great intimate setting for a celebration. Music was pleasing and not intrusive.

This restaurant is located in West Village. Made a reservation for 8:30. Workers were nice about it when we showed up 15 minutes late. Restaurant is nice and dim and we had a party of 11 for a friend’s birthday. I had the linguini with clams($ 21)…can’t go wrong with that. This place is average as there are probably more options around to get food at the price you’re paying. Average restaurant. P. S. The portions were relatively small as well.

I went here with 4 of my friends for dinner on a Friday at 8:30pm. We ended up coming here since it is easy to get reservations and the other places we wanted to go to were all booked up a couple days in advance. This is a good spot for groups, but I would go elsewhere before making a point to come back here. There’s a ton of great options in the area that are better in my opinion. The homemade pastas were good and reasonably priced, but not that best that I’ve had. The appetizers were just OK. RESTAURANTOVERVIEW: –Rustic Italian, casual, nothing too fancy –Very dim lit — was kind of hard to see the menu –I wouldn’t come here for a date — best for a late reservation for friends for family APPS: –Bufala Mozzarella: Only good cheese that we had. Typical fresh mozzarella slices. –Pecorino Zafferano: Had a rubbery texture and had very little flavor. Not a fan. –Sottocenere al Tartufo: Way too flavorful with truffle taste. Overwhelming. Not a fan of this either. –Charred Octopus: This was good — I don’t love octopus though. *Overall, I think the apps are lacking here, and it’s best to stick with the homemade pastas. DINNER: *We all only got pastas –Betta’s Papardelle: This was really good! Not too meaty. I don’t typically love meat sauces, but it seems that this is probably what the restaurant does best. I liked this and the last pasta listed the best. –Ricciatelle: This was kind of flavorless. Other people at my table liked it though. This was my least favorite. –Gnocchi: Gnocchi is always a safe bet! This was very cheesy though(inside the gnocchi and sauce coating), so if you’re not a cheese person, I wouldn’t get this. –Gramigna alla Sofia: This was my favorite, and happened to be what I ordered for myself! The sausage was spicy, but not too spicy where you had to drink water after. It was a very flavorful dish. I would get this again. DRINKS: –Bottles of Oyster Bay Sav Blanc: Good option for white! Light and not tart at all. SERVICE: –A bit pushy on desserts. Took a while to get our check to us. The waitress was fine up until then though.

Pagani was absolutely empty when I arrived solo for lunch. Right as I walked in and got seated, 3 other parties came in. I guess I brought the business! I sat right by the window on the bench seat with comfy pillows and was offered bread with olive oil right after I ordered. I usually don’t eat breads from restaurants but the the bread here was actually very good and weren’t stale. They had a good selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and pastas on their lunch menu, but I couldn’t resist ordering the pappardelle with meat sauce. I just have this obsession with pappardelle! When cooked right, pappardelle is just so tender and comforting to eat. Pagani got it right for me. The plate of pasta came sauced right with just the right amount of meat cooked in. With the waitress’s generous sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top, it was a perfect plate of heaven! I quickly devoured the entire plate of yummy pasta; washing it down with a glass of iced tea. This carb-filled diet is for anyone who is on their cheat day!

Drinks only review: Post brunch, we wanted to continue the party and it was happy hour! Whoo. Pagani is very clean, casual but with a touch of sophistication. It looks like they have a nice area in the back for a private dinner and such. The bartender and servers were all attentive and nice. Love the: Nipper Has a nice sweet finish. Must be the prosecco mixed with the chamomile and Espirit. Not«herb-y» at all! Highly recommended. Electric lady studios I’m a huge fan of ginger. It had a nice ginger kick and the flavors all came together very well. Strong, slightly spicy with a sweet ending. Happy hour = west village drinks with an east village price tag Would come back for HH again.

This review has been pending for a while — we went to Pagani on a Saturday night for dinner with friends and it was crazy busy. The place was literally swarming with people and there was barely any place to stand. Even though we had an 8 pm reservation, we didn’t get our table till 8.30. HUGE shout out to the hostess who was very attentive and kept checking in on us and made sure we got drinks on the house while we were waiting. After we were seated, we ordered our apps and took our time with our meal. no rush and the service was warm and friendly. We got the Grilled Artichokes salad and Charred Octopus to share among the four of us. I’m always worried when we order octopus, because if it’s too chewy that can completely ruin the dish. This one has perfect texture and was seasoned lightly and charred in just the right places. Wasn’t too impressed with the salad, because it was drowning in lemon zest and the taste was too overpowering, drowning out the flavor of everything else. Two of us opted for the Tortellini with asparagus and ricotta and it was delicious. Portion size was perfect, not too much or too little when you have to eat extra bread to satisfy your hunger pangs! The pasta it self was so fresh and buttery, with the sage, ricotta and parsley all blending together well to create a light creamy sauce. Loved it. The husband asked for the Market Catch of the day(Cod) which was served with fresh vegetables. He was happy with the choice and opted for butternut squash and spinach as his vegetable sides. The fourth main on the table was a special pasta of the day which was a linguini served with a sea food assortment in a light broth — I thought it was okay and the broth lacked seasoning or a distinguishable flavor, but our friend enjoyed it, especially the scallops that were a part of his meal. In the end we shared the Amalfi Cake — which was a chocolate strawberry cake with a gooey center served with ice-cream and it was so delish… perfect way to end the meal. Some of the recent reviews seem to be really negative, making me wonder if we all went to the same place! Hope they can work out the kinks and offer a consistent dining experience to everyone, every time.
