We went here because it is supposed to be the best pizza in Harlem. What we had is definitely in the top of NYC pizzas to my taste. I normally prefer thin crust Roman style, with sparse ingredients so that the crust does not droop, bubbly and burned on the edges. This was piled high, and I requested he cook it crispy. It did not droop at all, and was not watery in the center like so many NY style pizzas are. They also use a paper towel to mop up extra pepperoni grease from the top before they serve you. The crust had good pull, not the best I’ve had, but good, and the ingredients were fresh, abundant and high quality. I also ordered a half a chicken(~$ 6.50) which was huge and very tasty. When they packed up the leftovers, they carefully put each piece on a paper plate with two slips beneath each piece so that it wouldn’t leak through the bottom of the box. If I remember correctly, there are four tables for four and one for two. The owner is from Palermo Sicily, and is friendly and gregarious if you engage him.

This is the best pizza in the area. Is it great? No. But when every other pizza place in the neighborhood is serving flavorless garbage, you learn to appreciate this for what it is.

Nice guys, hard working, but this is a 2 star slice of pizza at best. Undercooked, tasteless sauce, too much oily cheese. Sorry. First time Unilocal has done me wrong. This really is more in line with the $ 1 a slice joints. We can do a lot better in NYC!

P&M Pizza is amazeballs. My roommates and I consider it a treat whenever we order. We switch up the toppings but the guys are always attentive to detail and deliver with a smile. Plus there is a free 2– liter with every pie. This is our favorite local pizza spot!

Great pies if you stick to just pepperoni and cheese. Mushrooms are almost inedible and make the pizza soggy. Spinach tastes like it is from a can. 3⁄5 +1 star for good prices.

To be honest, this place isn’t that great. The pizza’s are okay. not too bad but not amazing either. As for their baked ziti, definitely worth a try. Isn’t the great either but for the amount of food you get and flavor I guess it’s worth the $ 4. As for those Garlic knots, H O R R I B L E. Only had one and nearly choked at how strong that garlic taste was. I thought I’d be a soft good garlic bread but not at all. I don’t appreciate that I called for a delivery and was told«we aren’t delivering at this time, sorry» uh. ok? No where had specified that there were certain times they delivered. This little place is definitely a miss, not all that worth it in my opinion.

One of the only pizza places I’m aware of near where I work. I’ve come here a couple of times and enjoy the pizza. However I realized that everytime I come here I tend to burn the roof of my mouth on the pizza. I particularly like their garlic knots here. The pizza here if pretty pricey though compared to what I’m used to.

We were dropping off ridesharers in Harlem and wanted to grab a few slices before we continued south. I found reviews loving or hating this place and decided to try it. The pizza slices were reasonably priced compared to the places that I’ve visited both in downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn. Cheese and pepperoni slices were $ 2.50 each or two slices plus a soda for $ 5.50. If you wanted to get other toppings, they added them to the existing slices and additional cheese on top. The slices weren’t amazing but were decent. In addition to the pizza, I tried their daily soup. It was a lentil soup with carrots and hit the spot on a cold day. It tasted like it was made in house with love. From sitting in the restaurant for 20 minutes or so, I could tell that their roast chicken, chicken parm, and other entrees were the highlight, rather than the pizza. The neighborhood construction workers, handymen, and even the postman stopped in here for a bite to eat. I loved the ambience. It was old with central american decorations all over the place. They were playing some great ranchera music as well.

Harlem’s best pizza place. The freshest, most delicious ingredients. There aren’t many options around here, and this is by far the best of them.

Ordered delivery — the pizza was really greasy and not particularly flavorful. The cheese is the really dense kind that falls off the pizza because the thickness prevents it from attaching to the bread well. It also took about 55 minutes to get that pizza ten blocks. Not the fastest I’ve experienced in New York. $ 21 for a large with two toppings. I had the thirst of a thousand camels after I ate three slices.

By far the BEST pizza in NYC! My husband and I always order the Special, which comes generously topped with a variety of vegetables and meats, including anchovies if you are into this(I’m not, though my husband swears by them)… SO generously topped that the box BOWS under the weight of deliciousness inside. The thicker crust and plentiful toppings make the pizza closer to a sicilian style than thin crust. This hearty pizza, with the addition of the free liter of soda with every purchase, ensures several meals of enjoyment that have created repeat customers out of my husband and I. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

Greasy, hot, tasty regular slice for $ 2.50 — but CAREFUL! I nearly burned my skin off with the oil drippage. A little overpriced for the neighborhood, but your best bet if you’re looking for«real» NYC pizza.

Honestly, out of all of the pizza I’ve eaten in NYC(and that’s a lot of pizza), P&M is my absolute favorite spot and in my opinion, the best pizza(so far, but nonetheless very hard to beat) in NYC! What’s a New York style pizza? It’s a pizza that’s large, wide, thin, foldable, and crispy. P&M hits the description to the T. I haven’t had crust that was crisp to perfection. The pizza is thin, yes, but not like those $ 1 chips they call pizza slices at random spots you find here and there. One slice doesn’t look too filling, but you’d be surprised. They even have a special– $ 5.50 for two slices plus a can of soda. There are others, but I always go for the pepperoni. Yum. I’ll be back. Again. And again. And again.

Stopped in here for a quick slice because I was in the area. I should have known better. Bad pizza. Cheap sauce, cheap cheese and just not good.

P&M is owned by two brothers who are very friendly but I think P&M should not be known for their pizza because honestly their pizza isn’t the best in NYC but it’s all about their Beef Lasagne! The quality, quantity and service really does deserve a five star. The amount of cheese and beef really makes it worth the price. Usually takes two people to finish one of their lasagnes. I have ordered for delivery in very snowy days and they still managed to deliver fast. Anyone should make their trip up to Harlem to grab a taste of the Beef Lasagne. Sadly it only opens till 9pm and does not open on Sundays !

I’m giving P&M four stars not because it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had, but because it’s the best pizza in Hamilton Heights. We have some pretty bad pizza up here, and P&M is definitely the wisest choice. The pizzas are big and cheesy, and the sauce is tasty. Delivery takes about a ½ hour and the service has always been friendly. I wish they offered small and medium pies — a large is simply too much.

I think I’m just going to have to accept the fact that I’m not going to find good pizza in Harlem. After living in Brooklyn for several years, I was spoiled on some of the greatest pizza around, but now I live in the land of the Globetrotters where there is no shortage of, and I can’t get enough of, amazing soul food. Maybe pizza has no soul? And thus no place in this neighborhood? That’s what I’m starting to think. Tonight was our first call to P&M, and everything went smooth, but when the man handed me the boxes I commented on how heavy they were. I mean these were some heavy boxes. Unfortunately, heavy, wet boxes. I just did not have a good feeling about this. I read all those great reviews on this place. Several of them had«Best pizza in Harlem!!!» written all over them. IF this is the best pizza in Harlem, I going to have to stand by the very first line of this review. I respect everyone’s opinions, and I’ve been victim of caught them on a bad night many times before, but this was just sad. For $ 41 dollars we got a large Napolitan(and yes, that’s how they spell it on the menu), a large P&M classic special, Large garden salad, and free 2 liter of soda(which is sitting in our recycling bin, unopened. It’s a high fructose corn syrup thing, did you know they use hydrochloric acid AND caustic soda to process that stuff?, anyhow…) I mean, what a great deal. The Napolitan was OK at best. Standard plain pizza with tangy sauce, semi crisp crust, but a bitter taste I attribute to the slight brown to black singe on the cheese. The P&M special, I ordered, because it sounded kinda like the chef’s special. The must have pizza at this place. Picking up the box, I thought the bottom was going to fall out because it was so wet. And judging from the piece of aluminum foil and the paper under the pie, I assume they know this is a wet pizza. So knowing how I am, I flip out when I grab a slice and the toppings slide off and into the box, I grabbed a spatula to escort my tasty dinner to the plate. The pizza itself was a little less than OK, and it was hard to get over how wet it was. And as for the toppings, the pepperoni and fresh tomato’s were good, the bell peppers were mushy, the olives were olives(lol), the sausage was so thin it might as well not have been there, there was a TON of onions, and me being a huge fan of anchovies, was disappointed at the lack of them, maybe one per slice. All in all, I’m REALLY trying to increase the number of stars I give these places. That little bar graph on my profile is making me out to be a very angry person, but I’m not. I swore off of what I call«corporate food» long ago. I did eat at Subway a couple years ago. It was a bad day, and necessity dictated the consumption of a $ 5 footlong. So I’ve been supporting family run shops for a long long time, but after tonight I’m starting to have second thoughts. Bad food is making Pizza Hut more and more tempting.
