We needed a pizza delivered to our hotel and called Nick’s to place an order. The girl who took the call was very nice and easily accommodated our order. The delivery took less than 30 minutes, which I couldn’t believe! For one pizza, the total was $ 27, which was a little on the pricey side in my opinion. The first few bites of the pizza were good; however, the more I ate it, the more I realized how greasy the pizza was. I also didn’t like the bread, as it was soft and not crusty enough. Overall, it was a quick order and the pizza was good, but it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I’m a crusty pizza bread kind of lover!

I came here because of the great reviews but Maybe I came here on a bad day? We ordered caeser salad, it was good. The rice balls were okay. We ordered a extra cheese pie with pepperoni. It was not good. Im a pizza lover so I know what good pizza tastes like. First off, the bottom of the pizza pie was DRENCHED in grease. Literally every time we picked up a slice the grease was falling off. Then the pepperoni was stuck together. Every time we bit into one it would be stuck with 5 extra ones and it was hard to chew and I burned my mouth. It also had a weird string kind of feeling in between the pepperoni. It felt like hair but it wasnt. The bottom of the pizza tasted like buttery. Ive never tasted pizza like that and it didnt taste right. It was just not good. Not to mention the service slacked terribly. We barely got checked on, they never smiled or said your welcome when we said thank you a million times. And it was completely dead in there. I really trusted the reviews and im so disappointed, wont be returning.

So we were visiting NYC and had a FULL day of events that ended up in spontaneously going to a Broadway play. We didn’t have a chance to eat dinner before the play. So after it, we were starving. Didn’t want to eat around Times Square, so we decided to take the subway back to our hotel and just eat around there. Nothing was open on the block where we were, and we had asked a couple of people for places to eat pizza and nobody mentioned this place. Nick’s was a little over a block away from our house and we were thankful to find it. When we got there it was packed because they had just hosted a party there. so we made our way to the back area and ordered a simple pizza and some drinks. Saved us! Also, they were playing disco music… which was a bonus! So, at midnight in the Big Apple there were were having drinks and listening to disco before bed. It was awesome! The waiter was really friendly and attentive. We had a great time there!

Had a large dinner party here in November ’15 and it was great. Sal(the mgr/owner) was easy to working with and his staff was excellent during the dinner. They went out of their way to make sure me and my guests were happy and they even brought out some extra food we didn’t order for free! Everyone left absolutely stuffed — some people even took home leftovers! The price per person was great value especially considering everyone was having wine or beer. Highly recommend Update April ’16 — After looking at a variety of places on the East Side, my wife decided to have her baby shower here because of the great experience we had with the dinner party last year. Once again phenomenal service and easy interaction with Sal and his team. All of her friends had a great time.

Really good place! I love the ambiance, the look, the service and the food. So tasty! I went with my family while on vacation and we had a homemade pasta special(shrimp and Marinara sauce), a veggie pizza, and a chicken bacon and ranch pizza. It was all so so good! I recommend it.

I went to Nick’s Pizza Bar for lunch before flying back to Virginia. We were seated immediately by a waitress. She put bread/olive oil on the table while we decided on food. The complimentary bread was tasty. We ordered a ½ hangover(pepperoni, fries & hot sauce) & ½ OPP(onion, potato, & pancetta). Our pizza was delicious, everything blended well together. The French fries/hot sauce on Nick’s pizza was perfect. I could eat the hangover pizza hungover or sober. The OPP was excellent as well. The thick cut potatoes, pancetta, & sautéed onions came together amazingly. It was hard to choose a favorite because both pizzas were delicious. Nick’s pizza comes square, customers can get a half or whole pan. Our server was very attentive and polite(excellent service). During lunch, Nick’s has a nice ambience. Nick’s Pizza Bar is a good choice for pizza in NYC. I give Nick’s Pizza Bar a 4.5 rating.

The perfect kind of unassuming pizza spot that goes against the typical Murray Hill vibes in all the right ways. You’re always able to get a table right away, and the front windows fully open to a spring evening is perfection. Friendly fast service, and reasonably priced square pies perfect for sharing.(And some leftovers to boot) The crust is the perfect blend of crunchy and chewy, and the toppings on the DIY varieties won’t set you back too much. The only one I wouldn’t 100% advocate is the BBQ chicken variety, which is tasty but a little overly sauce laden. Overall, spot that warrants a place among NYC’s best pizza joints.

Ordered from them a couple of more times for an event. A few of the guests at a party commented on the Pizza. So we went in and was pleasantly surprised that it was… a decent looking restaurant/bar. Service was great. Waiter was friendly while enduring my friends and I as we loudly spoke over beers.(wasn’t crowded on a weeknight) Going to go back, going to order more food.

I prefer going to Nick’s than their delivery(which often takes a while to arrive). They have pretty decent wine, and there’s a good vibe in the restaurant. The pizza is pretty good, but verrrrrrry salty. You’ll go through a whole pitcher of water for sure! Pepperoni is actually too salty in my opinion. Gotta cut it down with some salad and veggies!

In an area cluttered with loud yuppies at happy hour and tables sitting on top of each other at dinner, this place shields you from that clutter and is an absolute neighborhood gem for a pizza + beer night. The pizza is fantastic — it’s not like nearby Vezzo, but think Pizza Hut(in the best way possible) with way better and plentiful toppings and a golden crispy crust. For two people, we split a full pie with pepperoni, mushrooms and fresh garlic. The portion was huge, and a half pie would have been just fine, but the leftovers were happily eaten at lunch the next day. We also had the calamari, which was nicely fried without too much breading. Their homemade pastas look promising, and I’ll definitely be back to try that. The only con is that the pizza was quite salty and will leave you thirsty, but it’s nothing that a ton of water/beer can’t fix!

Our group of 5(four adults and a baby) planned on dining here last Friday, so I called ahead the night before. I only knew that we would arrive sometime between 6:30 and 7, but the person on the phone didn’t seem to mind at all: She said a table, along with a high chair, would be ready for us when we arrived. This call set the tone for a great experience at Nick’s. The table was indeed ready for us when we showed up, and the service throughout the rest of the evening was helpful but unobtrusive. The space started to get busy throughout the course of our meal, but the interior is large enough that we didn’t feel too cramped, even with an explorer baby in tow. We ordered the prosciutto and arugula(and parmesan) pizza, and it was remarkably fresh and flavorful. The large($ 29) included 10 large square pieces, and it easily fed three people. Yes, that equates to a [delicious] meal for less than $ 10 per person. Yes, I promise that this restaurant is located in Manhattan. I also saw a sign by the bathroom [located downstairs] advertising an unlimited mimosa/Bloody Mary brunch for the true-life price of $ 17.95. How is that even possible? This has to be the actual cheapest mimosa brunch in New York, possibly anywhere. For the record, I’m giving Nick’s 4.5 stars.

I ordered takeout from here on a Saturday night. We got an old fashioned pepperoni pie and a caesar salad, which ended up being the perfect amount of food for four people. We all loved it!

My friends and I LOVE Nick’s pizza bar. It is now our go to pizza joint in Murray Hill :) The staff is efficient, the drinks are well made(and well priced), and the food is great! My favorite items on the menu include the bucket of meatballs(as an Italian American I rarely sample meatballs other than my mother’s, but these are something special), and of course the awesome pizzas(specifically the Arugula and Prosciutto and Bacon Chicken Ranch). All of the pies are rectangular and perfectly cooked(crispy bottom, proper crust to topping ratio). Nick’s is great for groups(they are are happy to take reservations and split bills on several credit cards). Can’t wait to go back!

Bar in the front, restaurant in the back. Went on a Friday night around 630 and it had a relaxing atmosphere. We sat at the bar because we were using Pay with Dash(which can only be used at the bar). We ordered a pie(half hangover/half buffalo chicken) and chicken parm. I enjoyed the pizza although it was a tiny bit oily but to be fair the name is hangover pizza. I thought the hangover side was better than the buffalo chicken. The chicken parm was really good and I would definitely go back for it. i want to return and try the pastas. You can not order slices so its a sit down restaurant where you share a pie but they def feed 4 – 6 people as each slice is pretty filling.

Quick(less than in 20 minutes), delicious and cheap! We ordered 3 large pizza to pick up in Friday evening and paid $ 77 total. The large-sized square pizza has 10 slices per each — enough to feed more than 3 people. If you are planning a group drink/dinner at your place, give them a call for delivery or pick up! We tried 1) margherita 2) regular cheese 3) prosciutto pizza. All were great — everyone at our wine night party enjoyed them! It’s been a while since I had a square pizza. Felt like I’m back in college for a Friday house party! *The only reason that I can’t give more than 3 stars is because I just wrote a review with 4 starts to a pizza place near my apt(La Vela on 43rd st/11th ave), which I think is far better than Nick’s.

Reader’s Digest version: Staff is super friendly and really accommodating! Pizza selection is interesting. but definitely not worth the hefty price. Nick’s is a sports bar/family restaurant mashed up into one, so it caters to a really wide array of patrons. The dining area in the back is nice enough and quiet enough to bring your family and little ones here for dinner, but there is also a large bar area in front if you just want to meet up with friends here to grab a couple of beers and watch the game. We came for the pizza, and we decided on a ½ Hangover, ½ Vesuvio pie. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Hangover pie — but I think it was mostly because of the hot sauce. It was also super greasy. The Vesuvio was definitely much healthier tasting, and I found the sausage bits super tasty, but it still wasn’t a favorite of mine because the pepper were a little too strong for me. I ended up picking them off. So once again, Nick’s offers really interesting topping combos, but definitely nothing interesting enough to be worth the price tag. To give you a better idea… the bill was about $ 17 each for 3 slices of pizza per person. Yikes! Definitely won’t be back for the pizza. They don’t seem to have any seasonal beers on tap either, which was a disappointment as well!

There isn’t much more to add to the previous reviews. The atmosphere is nice with wooden beams and cute tables. A pro football game was playing in the background. It was mostly empty on a Sunday night, but they had some great deals on $ 20 bottles of wine for Sunday-Thursday. The food was good. The portions were generous. Some of the best pizza in NYC for sure. I also ordered a pasta but was a little it disappointed that there was no cheese on top. Overall, a pretty good place to come and hang out with friends. A very group-oriented place so bring people with you.

First time here at Nicks. its a really beautiful bar/restaurant. Very brand new about 3 – 5 months just opened. They serve huge portions family style which they don’t mention but the price is really worth it. I enjoyed my fried Calamari appetizer(tad bit salty but still good) that I could’ve shared with 3 people and my mom had veal parm. which was also very tasty and 2 huge pieces I might add. Service was very attentive and friendly and I had a Coney Island house beer on tap which was really tasted like an IPA. All around great experience. I just hope this place can stay open for a long time for everyone to experience what I did. .
