Note: this place has changed names since my last review and is now called«Yan Yan». Food and service remain just as good however!

FYI, this establishment is no longer called Incredi; it now goes by the super lame name of Yan Yan Restaurant. We had a hell of a time trying to find«Incredi» when we were staring at Yan Yan from across the street. Their lunch offerings were fairly limited compared to Incredi, and the quality of the food was decent. I was unimpressed by the hot and sour soup, which had no sour and little spiciness. My boyfriend refused to finish his eggroll, which was far from authentic and straight from the frozen food section at the supermarket. My boyfriend and I decided to gamble on our food and chose to go with the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Chicken and Mushroom lunch specials, respectively. The chicken and mushroom lunch was decent. It was served in a clear white sauce, which is typically used in seafood dishes(such as shrimp). It was actually reminiscent of Lobster Sauce served by Americanized Chinese restaurants. Pretty good, but not really what I was expecting. I feel that this dish would have tasted much better in a brown sauce or something like a garlic sauté. My boyfriend’s pineapple fried rice was REALLYREALLY good. My general rule of thumb when it comes to eating is not to eat sweet things with salty foods mixed together, i.e., pineapple and ham pizza and pb&j sandwiches, but surprisingly, this dish was the redeeming quality of the entire dining experience. I half-expected the rice to be weird and sweet, but it had a curry-like flavor and appearance(yellowish tint on the rice) and tasted fantastic. My boyfriend hardly shared with me, but completely understandable. It got relatively busy once we finished lunch, so maybe our appetizers were mere flukes. I would like to give this place another try and test out some other dishes when I’m back in town. Remember, it is no longer Incredi — it is YANYAN Restaurant!(Try telling your friends that without them thinking it’s the Asian snack!)

Incredi NOT. Where do I start? I had not eaten all day and was looking forward to my meal at Incredi based on all the good reviews. I was terribly disappointed in everything, right from the complete lack of taste in the food to the fact my dishes did not contain any of the ingredients mentioned in the menu. The chicken was double deep fried and had hardly any flesh(only skin and junk). Oh, also they forgot to add broccoli and later on brought me a side of STEAMED unseasoned broccoli to throw in. As for the noodles, I had to ask for soy sauce and chilli sauce on the side cause the chef forgot to add absolutely anything to the noodles after they were boiled. The tofu in the noodles was just thrown on top, literally straight from the grocery store package. While the waitress apologized(since the food was untouched 30 minutes later), she made no gesture towards wanting to replace our dishes or improve them in any way. I am never going back. I respect other Unilocalers’ good reviews, so I’m hoping I just caught them on a bad day!

Das Incredi Fusion eines der hochwertigen Restaurants in New York hat einen Nachteil, es ist viel zu voll, daher kriegt man sein Essen nach der Bestellung erst sehr spät aber es lohnt sich so lange zu warten.

I can’t believe how reasonably priced this place is. I also like the mix of Thai and sushi. You can get things not so spicy too. Wimp of all wimps here.

***Note — Review of Bar Only*** I came here saturday night for a bday party. The place was closed to the public for this party… There was no food being served… only lots and lots and lots of alcohol… they took all the tables out making enough floor space… this turned out to be a good idea since this place got SUPER crowded… $ 7 for 2 beers. Not bad at all… $ 54 for 6 shots of Patron silver. Eh… kinda pricey but not too bad… I would have given them 3 stars since nothing about this place stood out… Especially since throughout the night, the bartenders were visibly stressed due to the constant ordering of drinks… it was crowded… but this place gets an extra star for actually having my scarf… it’s my favorite scarf ever and in a drunken stupor, I left it in the coat check… came back the following day to retrieve it and the lady remembered me… Me: «Hi. I called earlier about coming to pick up my scarf.» Lady:(really chipper and smiling) «HEY! You still alive?! You drink a lot for such a small girl…» Me: «Oh yeah? Hah… Um yeah… I was drinking a lot I guess.» I don’t even remember her… But I love her anyway… she had my scarf!!!

My girlfriend and I went there on Christmas Eve. expecting something but not much. Our experience was fantastic! The food was incredibly delicious. So good! We started out with drinks; a lychee martini and bombay ‘n tonic. Both drinks were made to perfection. The alcohol content was just what your palette could hope for(.not too much, not too little.) Then we had their hot and sour soup… which also was made to perfection. the soup had just the right amount of spiciness. You could tell the ingredients were fresh. We also had the chicken shumai with a delicious ponsu sauce. Oh my …, those things really tickle your tastebuds, don’t go and not try them! Then we moved on to the duck and Kung Po chicken. I had the chicken. I have had this dish in many restaurants. In Chinese restaurants you are either given a really poor cut of meat or too lean of a cut where the chicken becomes more dry. The taste of the spices and the chicken were perfect. We had a wonderful waiter(possible owner) who had a very cunning sense of humor and constantly made us laugh. We left feeling relaxed, satiated, and just happy!

Its my neighborhood restaurant so i go to this place a lot for their lunch special($ 5.60 and up). The interior is good – whether u are having lunch with your friends or having a casual date. the waitresses there are usually very friendly. but i dont really recommend their phở, though

Okay… I’m gonna be a tiny buzz kill once again. But I have two words for you about this place… ORDERIN. I went there last night(because Kuv told me to go). Décor… very similar to Ahn, the Vietnamese restaurant before it. Service… here is where it got tricky. It was sort of like the time I had a patient that only communicated with French sign language.(Yeah, I didn’t know sign language is different in every language.) I needed two translaters(French to American sign language then American sign language to English) to communicate with the patient. That is sort of like the service. Not a single language issue but a double decker disconnect. But once that was solved, the food was delicious, fresh and fast and really quite good. The cocktail list was a little too fancy for me(how many brightly colored liqueurs can you mix with pineapple juice?) So order in. Try it. It’s good. If you don’t go there.

A very nice and friendly restaurant. Not as busy or popular as the other restaurants along the block though, but that’s good you want a quiet evening out. Food is decent and the kitchen will cook the food to your liking. The dinner noodle portion can be small, so maybe I’ll try the sushi entrees next time. I love the hot ginger tea. Very spicy and totally warmed me up. Desserts are a bit pricy though.

Incredi Asian Cuisine, Sushi & Bar offers an amazing culinary experience for the price. Numerous lunch specials from pad thai to sushi, all in the $ 6-$ 8 dollar range, with good sized portions. I suggest the Incredi Summer Salad with apple, orange, mango, endives, honey walnuts, red wine & vinaigrette. Next time I’m trying the Rock Shrimp Tempura… will let u know… UPDATE: I’m adding an additional star to my review given that management liked my suggestion and added the Summer Salad to the lunch menu…
