Michael Aram

I usually buy Michael Aram at Macy’s but I much prefer to shop here. Salespeople are very friendly and eager to help in what you’re looking for.
They carry a huge stock of Michael Aram pieces. All of them are very beautiful and unique. There have been some companies knocking off his style but does not comapare to the real thing. Prices are on the high end but if your looking for something affordable they have unique candles which would make a great gift.

Though it’s a high-​end luxury tabletop shop, they have a selection of goodies and décor for under $ 100. They have a variety of unique collections and the store is set up nicely. Their scented candles, ring catchers and frames are perfect gift ideas!

My wife and I recently married and Michael Aram was one of the places where we picked items for the registry. We already had several items from there and thought they made quality products and were a good company.
Sadly one of the items we received was the silver Forrest Leaf Coaster Set. We opened the box and were thrilled with how they looked, however we were far less thrilled when after we put the set (in its protective black holder) on our brand new white lacquer finished shelf. A day later we had a giant and ironic black ring permanently stained into the finish that came from the holder.
We immediately called the store to see if they could suggest a possible way to get the stain out, they offered no assistance or possible resolution so we wrote to their customer service department, which again lead nowhere. Not only did they not offer any help they said twice they would get back to us with suggestions and never did.
With the prices they charge I would expect more.
We will not be buying from here again, and be aware they will not offer assistance or even advise if their product is faulty.

Good selection of Michael Aram pieces all wonderfully presented. Staff wasn’t especially friendly or welcoming, they seemed more interested in their personal plans for the weekend. Heads up-​admittedly I passed the store while trying to find it, only a very small sign and not so prominent entry.

I adore everything Michael Aram has ever created and, no, that’s not much of an exaggeration. Yrs ago, I worked in bridal registry at Macy’s where I became familiar with his work, and now I work in the design industry and was lucky enough to meet him at one of my company’s events. Whether it’s a picture frame designed to look like the reflective surface of a body of water or tongs that resemble bird legs or the most beautiful Hanukkah menorah fashioned after the delicate branches of a tree, his work is truly inspiring while still practical. Every piece he designs is the perfect marriage of art, nature and functionality.
The flagship store itself is dark, simple and elegant, in a way that allows each piece to stand out on its own. I have received excellent customer service any time I have dealt with its employees and am hoping to purchase more items there sometime in the future. One of my life goals as silly as it may sound is to own a Michael Aram ice bucket and tongs.

Ah-​may-​zing!!! This designer is talented. He turns everyday items from nature into beautiful silver & gold hued pieces. Wonderful wedding or Mother’s Day girts complete with luxe gift wrapping. They Also have Jewish gifts for weddings & other life events.
As for staff, they were friendly & helpful. If I could I would buy every single piece he makes, but for now I have a few select items. I love the ocean collection which has silver hued seashells and platters.

As an interior designer, I work with home décor vendors on a daily basis. The business practice at Michael Aram is definitely not geared toward the design industry. I’m sure it’s fine for a retail customer. While the items are beautiful, the staff not being aware of basic business practices is disturbing and off-​putting. I avoid shopping there as much as possible, which is a shame as I like the product. I simply do not want to deal with the staff and business issues, and I would NEVER take a client there. Designers, be forewarned.

What a great find to literally come across this shop on 18^th St. Had no idea it was even there!
Come to find it has wonderful, exotic (and practical) and VERY AFFORDABLE items for the home. We bought a gorgeous candle holder set that came beautifully wrapped (and under $ 60.00). The container’s pretty enough to be used as a holder afterwards for just about anything.
The staff in store were extremely friendly and helpful and took such time to package my item beautifully.
Some digging around showed that Michael Aram’s gorgeous line is in Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman’s and in selected Museum shops around the country and he even designs some glasses for one of Waterford’s lines. Who knew?
How great to have a New York alternative to ABC, which is lovely but increasingly expensive. But you have to look for the store. It’s tucked away.
Definitely worth making a trek to. Like us, you’ll be charmed.
