Prices not as marked! Purchased a set of glasses and noticed at checkout that the price was higher than expected. I pointed this out and the cashier claimed that the price had gone up in the system and they had not gotten around to updating the floor prices. Would not honor sales floor price. Prices online also differ from the store. What a SCAM!

For the love of all that is good! Canvas Home is testing my patience. The only company other than Dell & Capital One that have moved me to anger and tears is Canvas Home online customer service. Only to be matched by the fact they have a terrible return policy. Awful. I’m so fortunate I received a gift card and there are no stores in California. I will not be making anymore purchases to a company who not only does not return phone calls/voicemails, but also is lax to respond to emails.

I bought 8 pieces, when I was home I found out that 2 of them were broken, or with defects. I thought that since Canvas is expensive it also means quality. I was probably wrong, or maybe only not lucky. No words.

I’ve made numerous purchases at Canvas; bedspread, dishware, glasses, etc. Their Abbesses Collection is advertised as «oven to table» on the underside of the plate and was also advertised online as oven safe… it only took 200 degrees to crack the plate in half. Disappointing. So here starts the three ring circus that has finally come to an end after 5 months. I first dealt with Tammy via email and phone; very understanding and tried to be accommodating except the plate was out of stock for a period of time and then she quit. Smart woman. Then there was John, I’ll try to be as tactful as possible because I like to think of myself as a very patient, kind person. That being said, why should I have to pay shipping for an item that was clearly not oven safe? Check your attitude and check the condescension. I didn’t appreciate either, nor would ever deal with you ever again… You think I’m cheap for not wanting to pay the shipping, take a look in the mirror. Jerk. And guess what, you didn’t even send the replacement plate to the correct address! Thankfully you do have at least one employee who was is as sweet as can be, Marcy. She was quick, efficient, understanding, and FOLLOWEDUP. Marcy, you should be running that store and don’t let them make you feel as though you did the wrong thing by giving us a new plate. We provided our most recent address COUNTLESS times, in store, over the phone and via email. They were given all the chances in the world to make this right. To the tenants at our old apartment… hope you enjoy the new plate, and don’t put it in the oven!

I really like the products but like so many others, I’ve experienced such poor customer service here. Have been waiting for four weeks for someone to update me on a purchase that was supposed to be «ready next week.» Keep calling and getting the run around. Really disappointing.

Their products are decent, but the staff seems more interested with flirting and laughing with each other than offering any degree of service. We have attempted to make a purchase multiple times and they just ignore our calls. Too many other options to waste my time/money

There is ALWAYS a problem when I go here. The awful return policy notwithstanding, the sales people are totally unfamiliar with inventory and the store manager, Jason, is rude and unhelpful. As if it’s a privilege to shop here. Please.

I was walking past Canvas on my way to a bar with some time to spare so I stopped in right before Christmas. It is a nicer home goods/wares store. Their ornaments at the time were 20 or 30% off, and I picked up a few baubles. I asked the store associate at the register if she had a box, a reasonable request, and she did not do the«oh, no, sorry we don’t» but instead said something like«um… no» as if my request was not reasonable and really out there for a store that is similar to Crate & Barrel(and let me tell you, Crate and Barrel has oodles of boxes). She didn’t take the additional percentage off until I asked, to which she said«Oh. I forgot we were even doing that» as if she was SHAMING me for my discount. Please. I thought maybe I was taking my discounting personally, but the friend I was meeting en route to the bar decided she wanted to stop in the store after the bar was too crowded. She experienced the same harsh reality, and she wasn’t even buying anything on discount. Store has nice stuff, but the reps at the cashier could be a bit nicer.
